I tried their canelé and chocolate croissant, which lived up to their reputation. The canelé was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and custardy within, and the chocolate croissant had these endless layers, each bite flaking away to reveal the deep chocolate tucked inside. “This charming little café offers delicious pastries and breakfast sandwiches served on English muffins. The space is small, with just a few tables, but they also have a separate online order window, which is great for pick-up. My friend and I tried two lattes—one fall special and a vanilla oat milk latte—and both were solid, quality coffees. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely satisfying.

It was a bit busy, so we waited around 15-20 minutes, but it was worth it. We both went for breakfast sandwiches, which come in different varieties with optional toppings for an additional charge. Honestly, this was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Even though it was on a smaller English muffin, it was hearty without being overly filling, and everything was cooked perfectly—especially the melted American cheese. The English muffins were soft and had a great flavor, much better than store-bought.

I got the B Flat on Jalapeño Cheddar (a weekend special flavor) with bacon and it was very good. The sauce they use was nice and complimented the cheese and bacon well. We also took some bagels and schmear to-go for snacking later.

My only complaint is the bagels weren't as chewy as I like, but the tang from the sourdough was really pleasant! Overall, if you are in the area you can't go wrong with a bagel or bagel sandwich from Bagel Guild!“

Colette Bakery in Melrose has some of the best pastries around! I’m a sucker for chocolate croissants, and the Cho-colette croissant at Colette is so delicious (pro tip, take the croissant home and toss in the air fryer to warm the pastry!)

Eva’s is along the lines of the food she is used to. She says to me i want to tell everyone to go to Eva’s. So that was all i needed to hear. Glad i listened.
