“Very small place that can't Accommodate more than two customers at a time. Tough on customers during snow/rains with zero provisions for shelter outside.
The pastries are a saving grace, by the way. Nothing distinguishing about their sourdough and other bread varieties though good (slightly expensive). Their flour-free chocolate cake takes the cake for innovation and taste.
If only they would make an effort to combine the coffee shop next door (also owned/leased by clearflour mgmt.) they could customer convenience that bit more amenable.“

“I started going here in 2020 and slowly became obsessed. Best bakery and cafe in Somerville. The vibes of the staff are phenomenal but additionally the food and tea are to die for. I always get the London fog with vanilla and the vegan egg cheddar sandwich. Don’t forget to try to banana tajin muffin!!“

“My coworker drives from the North Shore for these croissants and I’m glad I finally tried them. I think the almond croissant and regular croissant are very good. The apple turnover was okay. “Veggie Galaxy is one of my all-time faves and a must-visit when I’m in the Boston/Cambridge area. Tasty vegetarian (everything can be made vegan) comfort food at a decent price with generous serving sizes. Breakfast all day is a huge draw. Most of the sweet items (French toast, pancakes, waffles, etc.) and all of the desserts are vegan as is. The savory items (sandwiches, platters, egg dishes, etc.) can all be made vegan. VG uses Yo Egg for when the dish calls for sunny-side-up or runny yolk and Just Egg or tofu for others. So much on the menu… but if you still don’t find what you are looking for, they welcome modifications. Besides the breakfast-y fare, there are killer sandwiches, burgers, entrees, and apps. Awesome vegan mozzarella sticks and mac and cheese! Fries and nachos that’ll put you into a food coma! The list just goes on and on. Thinking about beverages? Bottomless coffee (organic), vegan shakes and floats, cocktails and mocktails. Finally, if you are into diner vibes (high tops, booths, etc.) VG is also a great place to hang out. Servers are super chill, friendly, and flexible. I’ve spent entire afternoons there, drinking coffee refills, slowly making my way through the generous portions of my meal, and catching up on emails while I pass the time before Ubering to the airport. Have gotten nothing but love and recommendations for (delicious) pie from the staff. I’ll definitely be back!“

“The food is amazing! I totally forgot the name of the dish but the pork with noodle dish with the fried rangoon was amazing def recommend 🍜. Crispy chicken basil is also good and I recommend it with the sticky rice 🍚. The Hor Mok (salmon, shrimp, etc. curry inside a coconut 🥥) is pretty good too! The mango sticky rice is a go-to dessert 🥭“

“Dado is the best kept secret in Cambridge. A beautiful café that feels so peaceful, considered and thoughtful in its every detail—the perfect place to sit with a friend, or take some time to just be alone and read a book. The co-owner Namwon has great energy. He was always really kind and welcoming to me and my boyfriend (we are from Australia, but Dado felt like a little slice of home). The food is really tasty (I could never go past their egg-salad sandwich; my partner loves the bibimbap wrap), and Dado, of course, has an amazing selection of teas. More than just feeding the body, all the meals felt like they were nourishing the soul. Just good honest cooking—maybe the rarest of things today. We’re about to leave Harvard this semester, and one of the great things we’ll miss is Dado.“

“Amazing Key Lime Pie. I grew up in Florida and this pie has everything I look for. Just enough tartness to provide a smile and puckered lips without being overpowering, but best of all a full tangible creamy filling. Most Key Lime pies fall short with a light wimpy filling that makes the pie feel like all whip cream. This filling is super smooth, creamy, and tart and the whip cream topper has so much yummy vanilla in it. Surround it in a deep crumbly crust.. and Bravo! I could eat the whole thing!“

“I am so grateful that a place like this exists. As someone with a severe peanut allergy I can never have baked goods. I also have a severe allergy to peas and pea protein which can be a common pairing of allergies. I did find that there are vegan pastries in the same case that are made with butter that contains pea protein so I didn’t feel 100% safe eating the baked goods. If they were to be more separate or the vegan baked goods didn’t contain peas, I would be here every single weekend. The staff was SO nice and went over the top to ensure I knew ingredients. Highly recommend but with caution if you have a legume / pea allergy like me!“

“Came here around 6-630 on a Friday night and was able to get a seat without waiting. Ordered some takoyaki and edamame for starters which were pretty solid. For udon, we ordered the pork kimchi udon and the sukiyaki udon. Both were really good and I would recommend both. At the end, the waiter poured my leftover noodles in the takeout cup perfectly and I was in awe. Coming earlier around 6 is perfect on a weekend night because when we left there was a line out the door waiting for a table. Definitely would come back again for a hot giant serving of noodles.“

Buttery but light and flaky, cooked just right - understated perfection in a bag! I grew up in France, and this is honestly one of the best French pastries I have had in 28 years living in the US. “Probably like many others, I found myself snacking all the time now that COVID-19 has us home 24/7, so I was in search of some healthy snacks made locally that I could have delivered to my home. So thrilled I thought of Nüssli118. I had previously attended a vegan dinner at her retail location in Cambridge and loved it. I wanted to try everything so I ordered the gluten-free bites (ginger spice and pumpkin spice), her sprouted nut clusters, ginger lemon squares, and her new vanilla spice overnight oats. The gluten-free bites satisfies my cookie cravings without the sugar crash. The nut clusters were awesome, I couldn’t decide if I liked the maple or salted caramel flavors best so I found myself alternating. They were the perfect late night snack. But the winner was the overnight oats- YUM. It was super easy to make- just add a cup of milk (we did unsweetened almond milk) in a jar, toss them in the fridge and voila- you’ve got breakfast with no effort. If you’re looking for healthy snacks while we aren’t able to go to the gym and you want to support a small business, this is the place to order. All of her products are gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan. Even though I’m not a vegan, I love to eat raw foods because they give me energy without the crash or late night cravings. Highly recommend you try everything at first because it’s all unexpected and delicious.“
