“Extensive vegan menu, delicious for a date night! Vegan does not equal healthy so come expecting fried, salty, sugary (yummy!) food. I had the steak frites which was really delicious, and a side of cabbage slaw which I was on the fence about. The only word I can think of to describe the texture is “viscous”. Hubby got the blue plate special which was tamales. He wasn’t blown away. But of course the deserts at Veggie Galaxy more than make up for any disappointment about dinner! Buttery but light and flaky, cooked just right - understated perfection in a bag! I grew up in France, and this is honestly one of the best French pastries I have had in 28 years living in the US. “Here’s a revieWe had a decent meal at The Abby. The food itself was good, but we had a small issue with the salad. I had asked to substitute the fries for a salad, and while I appreciated the option, it came already dressed. I personally liked the dressing, but I usually prefer my salads without it, and would have appreciated being asked. Unfortunately, my partner didn’t like the dressing at all and ended up not eating her salad. A small thing, but it would’ve made a difference if they had checked with us first.“

“I don't write many reviews. For me to write a review a restaurant has to be either really bad and amazingly good. Sugar and spice is amazingly good Thai food! My wife says it was the best pad thai she's ever had. My son had the tamarind duck, which I sampled, and I had the kanom jean nam ngaio (see pics). Both were sooo good. Service was very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!“

The co-owner Namwon has great energy. He was always really kind and welcoming to me and my boyfriend (we are from Australia, but Dado felt like a little slice of home). The food is really tasty (I could never go past their egg-salad sandwich; my partner loves the bibimbap wrap), and Dado, of course, has an amazing selection of teas.
