I've been coming here since I was a little girl, and love their food and menu.... however their service is absolutely atrocious. we have waited over 30min to even be greeted, forgotten to be served, and when they did take our order half of what we ordered was not delivered, yet charged to our bill.... ignored for boxes, the list goes on. Vel's Family Restaurant & Lounge is a cozy place to dine and socialize with family and friends. The food is reasonably priced, with generous portions. This small time gem offers lots of comfort food and a very modest quiet atmosphere to enjoy favorite home cooked meals. Customers enjoyed the delicious Veal Marsala with spaghetti, seafood casserole, calamari, macaroni and cheese, oyster plate, seafood platter, and chicken pot pie. The Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and turkey dinner are also awesome and well-prepared, with flavorful and fresh food like the cod. The service is always super friendly and welcoming.
