“I'll be honest, we almost didn't come here because I usually follow the wisdom of crowds and when I saw the 4.1 rating I thought we might pass on visiting. I'm glad we came, it was a five star experience for me... The quality of the morning bun and tasty seasonal black sesame latte I had were very high and we'll definitely come back (at least to another location). It was a little bit noisy and it seems like the lines could swell during busy times but that doesn't take away from the overall rating for me.“

“We got our wedding cutting cake here and it was absolutely amazing! We had many kosher guests who loved the cake, plus it was dairy and nut free for our many guests who had dietary restrictions. The wedding cake tasting was super fun, they set up a little bistro table in the store for us and had many options to try. The cake was delicious and it was all gone by the end of the night with most people going back for seconds! Karen could not have been nicer during the whole process and they were very accommodating of allergies. Would highly recommend!“

“I have been coming to the Hearth for many years...the staff is friendly, the atmosphere relaxing and comforting, and the food and beverages are from local sources, well prepared, tasty and satisfying. The owners and management have also shown a dedication to supporting the arts by encouraging local musicians to play at the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I grew up in the area and have lived abroad—mostly in Europe—for the past 15 years. Over that time, I’ve become very aware of the differences in ingredients and food quality between Europe and the U.S. When I come back each year to visit family, I often find that a lot of American food leaves me feeling bloated and uncomfortable, likely due to additives, dyes, and lower-quality ingredients that I’m no longer used to.

Blue Moon Bagel Cafe is the one wonderful exception.

I’ve been coming here since high school, and it’s the place I genuinely look forward to eating when I’m back in town. I truly trust their ingredients: the food tastes fresh, clean, and well made, and it doesn’t leave me with that heavy, uncomfortable feeling I get elsewhere. The sandwiches are delicious, everything feels thoughtfully prepared, and the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. Prices are also quite reasonable for the area, especially considering current inflation in the US.

I’ll admit that some of the desserts are total sugar bombs—but that’s probably just my now very European palate talking! For those who love a sweet treat, they’re clearly doing something right.

All in all, Blue Moon Bagel Cafe is a real gem in Medfield. I’m grateful it’s still here and always make a point to visit when I’m back about once a year. Thank you for staying true to quality and consistency all these years.“

“I tried this place yesterday for the first time and I am so impressed! So far I’ve had the tabbouleh, the Israeli salad, baked fish with veggies, challah and chocolate babka and they were all so, go good! I still have frozen soups and a mushroom pot pie to try and can’t wait to eat my way through them this week for lunch. The fish was so good I can hardly believe it was frozen. My daughter kept asking for bites so I will be sure to buy multiple next time. I’ve been meaning to try this place and wish I’d gotten here sooner. They are gluten and dairy free and mostly meat free as well. A lot of their ingredients are organic and they use quality oil. They were telling me while I was there that they grind some of their flours in house. You can taste the quality! It’s so nice to have a safe, healthy and DELICIOUS option for take out! This place is worth the trip and I will absolutely be back. 😊“

While I was waiting for my order, a guy walked in and confidently told the staff, “You guys have the best steak and cheese pizza in Belmont.” That caught my attention, so I ordered one for the road—and wow, he wasn’t lying. The steak was tender, cheesy, and loaded with flavor, all packed into a crispy, golden crust. It’s easily a must-try if you’re a fan of steak and cheese.

“Every year I host a tennis charity event Serve For a Cure in support of the Jimmy fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I reached out to Nothing Bundt Cakes, via email thinking they wouldn’t answer me. I got an phone call saying they would like to donate cakes to my event. When I was told how many, I was flabbergasted. They were so generous and very easy to work with. The day of my event a friend of mine picked up the personal cakes, and we gave them out to the tennis players. I some how got 4 of them. They were delicious! I would highly recommend Nothing Bundt Cakes for your next occasion or even just a sweet treat.“

“The outdoor seating is a big plus. It has a nice atmosphere. It is easy to miss if you are driving by. There is a very small parking lot in the back which is helpful. The staff was very friendly here, more than at other locations. There are alot of sugary baked goods to choose from plus other food choices. Overall, it is nice, quiet place to talk and enjoy a bite to eat. Enjoy!“

“Came here by total accident. Seriously … I was thinking of a different restaurant when I accidentally clicked on this one. So happy for the mistake because this place is so quaint and yummy!!!

From the outside … and honestly on the inside too, it’s very underwhelming. However, once you experience the home town friendliness and delicious, diner-like food, you really forget about the ambiance and instead … enjoy the diner-next-door vibes and hominess.

The place is small, but I appreciated the online “waitlist” feature. It goes by a lot quicker than expected. I had to re-put myself on the waitlist cuz we weren’t at the restaurant yet. This place also has a “order at the counter” first and then get seated situation, which helps things move along and turn tables over, but I’d have to say that this is my least favorite part. You get more fast food vibes than dining in vibes.

The food, however, was definitely worth it. They have a large menu with amazing coffee drinks. The coffee drink I got was probably my favorite part. The food is also really good and feels like breakfast without being too greasy and heavy feeling. I came here for breakfast, but I definitely want to try their lunch menu too. I’m glad my family and I stumbled on this place by accident cuz I definitely discovered a gem in the rough.“
