“I tried this place yesterday for the first time and I am so impressed! So far I’ve had the tabbouleh, the Israeli salad, baked fish with veggies, challah and chocolate babka and they were all so, go good! I still have frozen soups and a mushroom pot pie to try and can’t wait to eat my way through them this week for lunch. The fish was so good I can hardly believe it was frozen. My daughter kept asking for bites so I will be sure to buy multiple next time. I’ve been meaning to try this place and wish I’d gotten here sooner. They are gluten and dairy free and mostly meat free as well. A lot of their ingredients are organic and they use quality oil. They were telling me while I was there that they grind some of their flours in house. You can taste the quality! It’s so nice to have a safe, healthy and DELICIOUS option for take out! This place is worth the trip and I will absolutely be back. 😊“

“Fig is the best! Their takeout window basically got me through the pandemic, and I feel very lucky that this is my local. As a certified scone-hater, their blueberry scone is the best I've ever had. I recommend their lattes, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches (the cheddar cheese is SHARP), and chia pudding. Their lunch sandwiches are also great. 10/10 for staff, vibes, food, and coffee.“

She took the time to walk us through the menu, gave great recommendations based on what we were in the mood for, and checked in just the right amount - never too much, never too little. “Everything about this place was so good that we visited TWICE in a row during a 4-day trip to Cambridge/Boston. My dad loved the seitan reuben and cauliflower po boy, and I ADORED the impossible ground beef chop cheese and Nashville hot chicken (seitan). And absolute W. Just a hop in from right off the main streets, they had a really nice selection of coffee, teas, pastries, soups, salads, etc. It’s very cozy inside with tables, chairs and low lighting. It was decently quiet inside, and the staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions. We got two pistachio lattes and they were incredibly good. Not too heavy on flavoring and they didn’t taste artificial. Overall, a nice stop for a bite and drink.“

“I really like this cake shop and have been here several times. The cakes are really nice—light, elegant, and not too sweet, with very delicate flavors. The bread is also great and all very reasonably priced.

The staff are friendly and polite, and I always leave with a good impression. If you’re nearby, it’s easy to stop by since there’s street parking along the road.

It’s a French pâtisserie, but I’d especially recommend it to Japanese customers as well—the flavors feel very familiar and approachable.“

“Cake order review only: easy to inquire about a cake online. Easy payment once we discussed the vision of the cake. And easy pickup. BEAUTIFUL CAKE. The cake was $90 for a heart shaped 2 layer cake with vintage piping, vegan vanilla with vegan vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam filling. I didn’t get the filling but was refunded immediately and the person handling the situation was so nice. I had asked why the darker icing tasted to chemically and they informed that the more they use the dye the more it tastes like it. So I would just skip that completely. Get the lighter frostings. Because like I said these are beautiful cakes and the cake itself is a good texture and flavor as a vegan cake.“

“Every year I host a tennis charity event Serve For a Cure in support of the Jimmy fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I reached out to Nothing Bundt Cakes, via email thinking they wouldn’t answer me. I got an phone call saying they would like to donate cakes to my event. When I was told how many, I was flabbergasted. They were so generous and very easy to work with. The day of my event a friend of mine picked up the personal cakes, and we gave them out to the tennis players. I some how got 4 of them. They were delicious! I would highly recommend Nothing Bundt Cakes for your next occasion or even just a sweet treat.“

“We were on a trip and found this Cafe during our walk through the historic places in Boston. It offers delicious pastries, various breakfast sandwiches and lots of options for coffee and tea. Their orange juice is spectacular and the closest one to a real orange juice I've ever had. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The dining area is a little small for the number of the customers but there are also chairs and tables outside. The Croissant breakfast sandwich and the Honey Halva Latte we had were so delicious. “I love the staff here and I love what they do for the community. I get this is Newbury street, I do.

But the prices here are insane. It's like $12 for a 16ounce. And more ($15) for other drinks at the same size!!!!

I've helped family members setup smoothie shops on Seattle in the past and we usually do $10 for 24ounces at least.

I understand the economy is bad but not every patron on Newbury street has old Boston back bay money.

I think if they decrease prices by a $1.50, they can be supremely successful with more customer traffic.“
