I found myself in Worcester yesterday and searched for vegan food online and found Belmont Vegetarian among others listed. After seeing several pictures of dishes I decided to go! And I’m glad I did! This is a Worcester/Central Mass staple. If you are looking for value, amazing flavors, and great vibes - this is the spot. The food always hits the spot. There’s something for everyone at this spot. You can mix and match main proteins with sides to always try a new combination.

I was feeling so sick today, just sore and grumpy and unwilling to cook. I wanted something comforting and nourishing, and in my considerations on what would answer best I remembered Belmont Vegetarian. I haven't been in years, but I just moved back to Worcester and have been meaning to go back. It was a staple in my week when I was a young vegan foodie on a budget. Based on reviews, Belmont | Vegetarian Restaurant offers amazing, delicious food. It is completely vegan. The best mac and cheese, delicious beef/chicken patties, pepper steak, collards stewed to perfection, and the jerk plantain patty are all mentioned. The beet, ginger, cucumber juice is also fire. The food is the best tasting, with amazing flavors, and it is in a top 10 list even for non-vegans. The owner is super kind, patient, sweet, and super friendly. Parking is a pain, and this is NOT an eat-in restaurant, with only 2 tables for seating. It is worth a trip for the food.
