“Great place to eat in Worcester. A lot of menu options with something for just about everyone. Portion sizes are big enough to ensure you get to bring food home with you. Some interesting twists on conventional dishes as well. Servers were super tentative and always accommodating. Great place to go with your friends or family. Parking is hard to come by there, however.Parking: Big parking lot but very tough to find a space. May have to wait 10-15 minutes for one to open up.“
“Today I ordered the Monti Cristo Sandwich !!! OMG !!! It was So Delicious that I ate the whole thing . I just couldn't Stop Eating it . I also got one to take Home . The Food at Lou Roc's is Incredible !! And the Portions of Food are big . And the Prices are Reasonable . My Friend and I usually go once a Week . But we will return again Tomorrow . Thank you For Such Great Food .“
“I found myself in Worcester yesterday and searched for vegan food online and found Belmont Vegetarian among others listed. After seeing several pictures of dishes I decided to go! And I’m glad I did! Belmont Vegetarian (where everything is vegan) was delicious and in heaping portions. There’s a smaller (but still big) container for only $17 and change and a giant container (which I obviously got) for $19 and change. I got BBQ, mac n cheese, rice , beans, and chickpeas, and some sweet n sour steak. They also make their own delicious juice with sea moss. I got watermelon. The place is set up for takeout mostly with only 2 dining tables.Definitely worth the drive from NH!“
“Enjoying Worcester Restaurant Week at 111 Chop House, our waiters Bryce & Sam were awesome! We started with some cocktails and rolls. For an appetizer, we had bang bang shrimp and a cesar salad. The star of the show was the pork osso bucco, which fell off the bone. Great portions for the price.“
“Armsby Abbey is a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Worcester , renowned for its commitment to craft beer and farm-to-table dining. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance, with rustic décor and a cozy atmosphere.“
“Good find! Decent food and reasonable prices. Went with a friend. Both got burgers, cooked to order and tasty. Server was very friendly, just seemed to take a long time to get our food. Note that it was busy while we were there. Disappointed the onion rings were of the frozen variety and an upcharge of $1.50, but I didn't ask when ordered. Overall a good place to go, for good food. (FT burger in picture - yummy)“
“I had a great time eating /Drinking delicious food & cocktails at 1885. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely enjoyed the very modernstyle. Most importantly, every food and drink on your menu tasted great! If you are looking for an elevated cocktail experience, look no further. 1885 drink menu specials are the best in the city of Worcester. My personal recommendations for foodBrunch- Steak and eggs (potatoes are absolutely incredible)Deviled eggs with pork belly (WOW)General Menu - I just had the chicken, shrimp, steak kabobs… bursting with flavor.Lamb Meatballs (pickled onions just takes this next level)This place is going to make some noise in the city for years to come!“
“We loved this restaurant! It’s so easy to find parking and table without reservations. They are very busy but they are a great team. Nice experience eating delicious seafood. So good that you will feel “light” at the end of the meal. Recommended for casual dinners!“
“One of my favorite cafes in Worcester to study, hang with friends, and have a bite to eat (and sip!) They have a plethora of options for all dietary preferences, making it easy for anyone to find something delicious. My favorite item on the menu is the Vegan JUST Egg bagel sandwich, which is packed with flavor.“
“Stopped for lunch before going to an event at DCU Center. Intended to go to Boulevard Diner across the street but there was no room. Parkway was a great alternative. We had a group of 6 including 2 children and we were seated and served promptly. Great food and great service and much more room than the diner across the street.Kid-friendliness: Great place to bring kids. Very kid-friendly.“
“From the welcome, to the presentation, to the atmosphere to the final course, I can't possibly tell you how amazing this dinner was. If you're looking for an enjoyable evening produced by a couple who truly loves what they do, this is the place. If I could give them 10 stars I would!“
“We were told that Vintage Pizza had a great BLT pizza. So we stop and tried it on our way home from New Hampshire a couple of years ago. It was fantastic !!!!! Now every time we go to New. Hampshire to visit family we stop at Vintage Pizza on our way home to Wallingford, Connecticut.“
“Such a wonderful place for brunch or lunch!! The staff were very sweet and attentive. We had everything we ordered in a timely manner, the restaurant was clean, and the food was delicious! I'd 100% go again, and based on how busy it was, many would!!Parking: Limited space behind restaurantKid-friendliness: Lots of options for picky kids, sides like single pancake, wafel, bagel, etc.“
“I LOVE this place! Me and my husband stop in around once a month and it is always AMAZING! My favorite drink is the smoked rosemary whiskey sour. Just be careful because they are STRONG and literally don't taste it. The flatbreads are a true highlight here. A light amd fluffy crust with fresh and flavorful toppings. I also love their coxhina for an appetizer. In general, everything we've had here is so so tasty and the atmosphere and crowd are so welcoming. I LOVE seeing all the regulars hanging around the bar on a Friday night. Such good vibes.“
“My family and I went on Sunday for brunch and the food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly! My mom wanted something that was not on the menu and they were very accommodating. It was another great experience at Livia’s Dish!“
“I've been craving some good ole diner food since I moved out of New England. While waiting for my Dad, to have a procedure done at one the UMass campus's. I decided to stop here for breakfast! So glad I did!! The food was excellent (Corned Beef Hash & Eggs), and the staff, well they are super friendly, and super inviting! The atmosphere is just like that of a nice old-school diner! I highly, highly recommend stopping in and giving this place a try!! Totally worth it!“
“Best steak and cheese I've had! This is a place to sit grabb a beer, chill and wait with time for your food. I went on lunch break, so I was in a rush. Definitely will be back with more time, because that sandwich was worth every minute. ?“
“One of Worcester's gems. In the Tatnuck Square burb of Worcester's west end you'll find huge margaritas and authentic Mexican cuisine. You really can't beat this place. Their fried fish tacos are the stuff of legend and the Birria plate entre is heavenly. Go there, spend your money, and leave happy.“
“My husband and I sat at the bar. Bartender was great. Very attentive, great personality. Interacted with a few waitresses that were all very personable! Food was on point. We had classic calamari which was cooked perfect and was lightly battered. Very tasty. We both ordered the Nashville chicken tacos and they were amazing! Dessert drinks were delicious! Apple martini and skrewy White Russian. Highly recommend!!“
“I really like this place. We've been here 8-10 times at this point. The food is fairly consistent (I have always liked my meals, but my friends sometimes don't have as much luck). I like their pretzel bites, chicken sandwiches, and burgers - it's a cool touch to have the OBT logo on the buns. Their dessert menu also has a few great options. Drinks are pretty good, and they have cute seasonal cocktails. Service is decent, but I haven't found the host/hostesses very friendly or welcoming - they seem as though they are sometimes annoyed they need to sit people, especially if you have more than 2 people in your party - but maybe they've been having off evenings when I've been there. My only criticisms would be the size of their soft drink cups (which it looks like they have improved, yay!!) and their closing time of 9pm SHARP. If they wish to close at this time, they should stop seating tables a lot earlier than they do. There isn't much communication about last call from the bar (this also includes refills for soft drinks) or last call for the kitchen. One time, we were not able to order dessert because the kitchen had closed - but our waitress never warned us of this. Most recently, we ordered/ate our food in 45 mins, which I think is very speedy, but I still felt rushed by the staff. Our server seemed more focused on cleaning than service, they turned off the music to ensure our quick exit, and stared at us as we walked out at 9:05. I really expected better service for the price of the food. Not sure if I'll be back any time soon, but I'd still recommend them for an early dinner or lunch.“
“We ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers and potato skins. I was very impressed when they asked how we wanted the burgers cooked. We ordered medium and they came out perfect! All the veggies on our burgers were fresh and the bacon was thick sliced with an awesome flavor. We really enjoyed the potato skins as well. My burger was so large that I ate half and will be eating the rest of it and my potato skins for dinner. The food was prepared quickly and it came out sooner than they told me it would be ready. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had the chance to meet the owner and he is a really nice man. Don't go by the previous reviews this place is a hidden gem! The bar has a homey "Cheers" atmosphere. I will definitely go back.“
“First time visiting Bennie’s. I liked the neighborhood atmosphere. Yes it’s small and old but I felt that if I went more often ‘Everyone would know my name’.My husband and I ordered nachos. So good. I only wished there was more salsa served with them. We paid extra for the chicken and it was worth it.I had a glass of Josh Chardonnay and my husband had a Bud on draft.Table could have been cleaned better but I never asked them to re clean it.I definitely would go back. Would like to try some sandwiches or meals.Parking: First come first serve. Located in a plaza. We had no problem on a Sunday afternoon.“
“I've been over to this spot a few times when visiting town for work, and I've always had a good experience with the food, drinks, and laid back space and atmosphere. Can you smell the queso on my breath? The backyard dome is a GREAT spot for games, considering the massive projection screen. Cheers !“
“Went last night with my son before a hockey game. Food was awesome, prices were great, portions were fantastic, and the staff was wonderful.Really a gem for the Greendale area.Ignore the one-star ratings below. If the reviewer can't bother to leave a review when they leave a rating like that, the rating is just bitter and irrelevant.“
“Food is good, but had to wait an extra 20 mins for my order to be made because it was given to Grubhub. Waitress said they could see if GrubHub will bring it back since the original order was a chicken salad. No discount for their inconvenience. They could have at least waived the convenience fee on using a credit card.“
“Great neighborhood, no frills Irish bar. They do not serve food, but the pizza place next door is connected buy a service window and the bar has menus. Most importantly, Galway has the most personable, fun, friendly and beautiful bartender I have ever seen! (Priorities! ?)“
“As we look forward to attending New Year’s Eve once again at Maxwell/ Luciano’s, I realize that although I posted this review on TripAadvisor, I neglected to post it on this site… so Here it is long overdue from Sept 2021…”We hosted a Bridal Shower / Brunch here for our daughter 2 weeks ago and I cannot say enough great things about it. I booked it very early.. last March, in the midst of Covid, when most other venues were not equipped to handle a reservation for Sept. Martin handled my request and was marvelous to work with… getting all the details down. When the time got close I worked with Stephanie and she was awesome, eager to satisfy every detail and request. And on the day, David ran himself ragged to get everything done to sheer perfection. The day of the shower, we arrived to the Grand Hall all set up in spectacular fashion… tables set formally, lovely curtained dividers to make our space private, lovely entrance and a huge splendid adjacent area set up for the buffet. This venue is breathtakingly beautiful, and having our celebration here allowed us to showcase the best Worcester has to offer! They had lovely background music playing to compliment the space perfectly. The buffet was more than impressive and elegantly presented… fresh and delicious… from pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, waffles, eggs Benedict to two lovely salads , then progressed on to three chosen entrees of fish, beef and pasta, potatoes and roasted vegetables…AND a chef served carving station of Turkey and ham as well as omelette station!! An array of petite desserts and complimentary mimosas and bloody Mary’s topped off the spread.I cannot stress how many compliments we received on the elegance and perfection of this event! My daughter and her fiancé were thrilled with every aspect of the day. Thank you Gus for running a top-notch restaurant and event venue!!”From Anne and Dave Kisiel“
“I came here to eat with my family, and my parents just came to the US from Mexico so I wanted to take them out to eat. I had this amazing Spanish seater named Kamila, she was really sweet and made conversation with my family. Made my parents feel welcomed into the restaurant by speaking Spanish to us and making sure we were comfortable. My parents love her definitely need people like her to make Spanish customers feel welcomed!! Definitely will come back!“
“Drinks were a little pricey but it's the city what do you expect. The food was absolutely outstanding- the bartender knew her stuff and was extremely kind and cordial towards my party and I. Also got to watch the patriots win a game. It was a small crowd but I think that's more with the pats having been mediocre than the venue. My new favorite wing spot in the woo“
“Last night before the Judds concert, we were looking for a place to have dinner. Most places right around the venue were at least an hour wait. We ended up a couple blocks from away at a place called deadhorse hill . It was a small place, not a huge menu but a decent selection of options. The greeter was prompt and polite. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our waitress was attentive and funny with a quick wit. While we waited for our meal, I observed the bartender expertly measuring, stirring and shaking drinks while engaged in friendly chatting with other staff and people at the bar. Our food was great. We each got burgers and fries and they were delicious. When the bill came, there was a 20% tip already factored in. I've seen this done for large parties before but it was just three of us. Apparently it was stated on the menu, I hadn't seen it. I'm paraphrasing here because I don't recall the exact wording but basically they said the reason they do it is so that all staff is paid equally and they earn enough to make a livable wage. I thought that was pretty cool and then it dawned on me, our waitress was truly one of the best I've ever had. In truth, she didnt have to be. Technically, she was already getting her 20% guaranteed. She didnt have to put in any extra effort. The same goes for the rest of the staff. To me, this made it all the more impressive. The backs of the shirts they all wore said, "Don't be a Pickle kicker". Couldn't figure out what that meant so we asked our waitress. She told us that some time ago back they first opened, a young man worked there and when it got busy and he was building the sandwiches and a pickle fell to the floor, he would just kick it under the fridge. When other staff would clean they would find piles of pickles under there. So its a message to everyone on staff to think of each other, take pride in their work and don't be lazy. I thought that was pretty amazing. All in all, if you ever find yourself in Worcester, MA for a concert or event at the DCU Center, go early and have dinner at Deadhorse Hill. Well worth it and a wonderful experience.“
