“What a great spot! The staff was all amazing and greeted you as soon as you walked in, there was a large group of us and we ordered with food being brought out within 20-30 min! The atmosphere is great, every time you look around you see something you didn’t see before, like the portholes in the bar. “My wife and I attended today's 1230 Fireside Feast and it was definitely worth the two hour drive. The staff was excellent answering all of our questions and service during the dinner was over the top. The downstairs was crowded but everything was orderly with cheese and crackers, mulled cider and wine being served. The bar staff made some really festive cocktails. Once we were upstairs, the chowder was creamy and filled with clams. All of the food was hot and the prime rib was roasted perfectly over the fire. This was our first time going and will be back again next season. Thank you to all of the staff, not only host, servers, bar tenders and others we interacted with but also those behind the scene. These would be food preps, dish washers, chefs and anyone else who works at Salem Cross Inn. Merry Christmas and we will be back next season. Thank You.“

From start to finish, Amy — the venue coordinator — was an absolute dream to work with. She was organized, reassuring, and genuinely cared about making everything perfect for us. At one point, I was literally about to walk down the aisle without my bouquet, and Amy stopped me, sprinted back to my room, and got it for me — talk about a lifesaver! “We piled in this morning for a mini family reunion - and it was just amazing! We sat in a room by ourselves and ordered a variety of food and drink. “My husband and I stopped at the Sturbridge, MA location on our way to Newport, Rhode Island. Our server, Alix C., was awesome. She was thorough, detailed oriented. Alix came around several times to make sure we were taken care of. She was such a lovely young woman. A manager came around as well. Food was great and served in a timely manner.“

I googled places in the area and saw Teddy G's that looked interesting with their menu. I immediately emailed Ted and he got right back in touch. I had no idea about planning this dinner, but Ted was very knowledgeable and helped us out immensely. We are definitely satisfied with how everything turned out and everyone enjoyed. “We stopped for lunch on a Monday. There was plenty of parking, no wait to be seated. The restaurant was clean and inviting and the staff was efficient and friendly. We decided to get the lunch special which was salad and a personal size pizza. I considered it a good value for a sit down lunch. The salad was crisp and fresh as bd no water in the bottom of the bowl. It was one of t he better salads I've had when eating out. My only problem was the way the menu was unclear about which salads went with the special. I wanted a Chicago style pizza or deep dish but what I got was a thin crust pizza which I found to be drier than I would have liked. When I asked the server about why I didn't get the deep dish pizza she pointed to a sentence above the list of all the different pizzas that said Chicago was not available for the special. It would have been easier to spot if they had put that sentence on the section with the lunch specials, that's why I only gave 4 stars. I split my daughter's pizza with her and donated my dry pizza to a family that needed the food. Other than the pizza mix up it's was a good lunch spot.“
