My son and I visited at about 8:55 pm on 6/29/2022.I ordered friend rice and chicken for my son.For myself, I asked about Jollof rice, seeing if I could have it with just vegetables, and saying I'm vegetarian. After trying to understand each other for about a minute, we were able to convey that I didn't want any meat. A woman came out saying she's a vegetarian and that she'd take care of me. My new go to place to get Jollof Rice with Chicken. The one down the street has really gone down hill so it was nice to see a new restaurant with the same options.Like some said the rice is a bit dry but I don't mind because just add some black pepper and it is delicious. The chicken isn't grilled; it's actually fried which is surprisingly delicious. The outside skin is crunchy and the inside is juicy. The food here is FANTASTIC and the portions are huge for the price! Seems to be more of a takeout place than a sit-in place as there are only a couple of tables. Ghanaian food is SPICY for the average American palate, so be warned! We tried the fufu with goat soup (contains meat and organs.), the grilled fish with jollof rice (tilapia and red snapper are served whole, head and all), and the kelewele (fried & seasoned plantain served with a side of peanuts)!
