“First time here, service was excellent, waitress was really charming & personable, didn't even have to ask to be told specials, food was delicious. I found my wrap to be more rice than anything else but I'd go here just for the quality of fries. Atmosphere was very dark & private in our little corner, the strung up lights lending a touch romance. Not ideal for a work lunch but next time I'll know what to ask for. Parking availability is not great, unfortunately.Parking: Parking lot is very small & shared with other businesses. Save yourself a trip around the block & just park on the street to begin with.“

“I finally had a chance to try this place. It's along my way home from work, but given that it's take out only I needed a reason to stop by here. My roommate recently wanted me to bring fried chicken home, so I used the opportunity to order takeout from here. Even better that it's on a Tuesday as they have a Tuesday special! I ordered a dinner and a Tuesday special (basically snack pak but about half off). I added a side macaroni salad, just cause I'm a sucker for pasta salad. It was pretty good! Reasonable size portions, and their macaroni salad is home made and delicious. Tuesday special came with a thigh and a breast. Cash or debit only here!“

“Fantastic food! - I had the feature sandwich which was a braised pork belly plate of deliciousness! Fantastic service - esp if you get Bruce! He was attentive, knowledgable and made everything sound so good. Even made some of us change what we thought we wanted to order! ?It was a lovely place to be for brunch with girlfriends! Bustling but not too busy, food out on time.Coming for visit from out of town, would recommend come in couple hours before Jets game for happy hour. “Great dinner spot. Menu items are delicious and well presented, generous portions. Servers are attentive and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant for small intimate dinners, as well as medium groups of Family/Friends.Make a reservation as this place can definitely get busy during the prime lunch and dinner times.“

“We dined at the restaurant and overall, the food and service were good. The one feedback I’d like to share with the restaurant management is about the lack of cooling inside the restaurant especially that it was very hot that day as it was very hot inside the restaurant. On such hot days, it’s important to provide a good customer experience by keeping the dining room cool early on and not wait for it to become and before customers arrive and ask for it. We had to pack the food snd leave hungry!!“

“We ordered 2 pound fish pakora around 3:07 pm. I was told by cashier it will take 15 to 20 minutes. I reached at restaurant around 3:25 and I was told it will take 10 more minutes. I waited in my car and went in again after 10 minutes and it was not still ready. I got my order at 3:50 ish. Food is good but service is really bad.“

“I've never tried bison ribs before, and now I had the chance, and it was very tasty, the portion was larger than I expected, the cook gave me a great meal, it was generous, the place itself is pleasant and has a relaxing atmosphere, I also want to highlight nice waiter, I don’t know her name, but she has blond hair, she was very sensitive, responsive and inviting, she made sure that I liked this place, I will definitely come back again“

“Stopped in for a late night bite after a concert down the road.The service was awesome, very friendly young woman the bartender on was also very nice.I tried the chicken sandwich with a salad and a cocktail.All of which I was quite surprised by the quality.I find these days the difference between fast food and sit down restaurants are very small.But I would definitely say this place goes above the industry standard for quality.I eat a lot on the road for work and I've spent most of my life running restaurants so I try to keep a running list of places to go again.. most often i wouldn't go out of my way to return, but i definitely will be back next time I'm in town.Its not often I actually think about maybe going back to the same place in the same trip.I should have gone back again tonight but such is life.Next time“

“The food is good but the last 2 times we ordered pick up from the Watt St. location, we got home and found something was missing that we paid for. We don't live too far away so we went back but for those that are further away, check your order before you leave. Next time we will. “Stopped in for a quick Happy Hour drink with my brother before dinner and we enjoyed the atmosphere at Smittys. It was bright and cheerful. I had a Caesar with pickle juice for the first time ever. It was tangy and good but not sure I'd do that again.“

“This was the 2nd time we were at Jane's. The first time was for lunch, and overall I would have given our meal & service a 5/5. This time... One has to remember that Jane's meals & service are provided by students in culinary art or hospitality. So, mistakes will happen. That being said, expectations remain high. They are not beginners. We were there with another couple. Food: the Paella: dry, no wow effect, shrimps are tiny, not Black Tiger Prawns as advertised, and, beware, chicken bones were included with the dish. Don't choke yourself! Duck Brest: meat was tough. No wow effect either. Striploin: average. We ordered a bottle of wine. The server's hands were shaking. The cork was broken in the process of taking it off the bottle. The very good stuff: the Mushroom Tart, the Lemon Blueberry Mille Feuille, and the Pecan Pie (which, in fact, was a butter tart). As I said, expectations were high. So on that standpoint, this supper was underwhelming.“

“i had driven by Garwood Grill many times while going done Pembina and had thought I should drop in and verify all the great things I heard about Garwood Grill. A friend of mine has been going there for about 50 years. The food and service were incredible. This is a family restaurant, and the comfortable welcoming atmosphere is evident. I will be taking some other friends there on March 11th to enjoy an amazing experience. A definite must visit for a great meal and more!“

“Service here is always consistently mediocre. I suspect it's because their servers have a lot of tables. It's not that they are unfriendly, they just seem to have a lot going on in their sections. We know this and expect it when we come to earls and will always come back because the product they serve is consistent and tasty. Never had a bad meal/drink.“

“Some of the most legit gumbo you'll ever have in your life. It's a quirky spot, in a good way. Clearly the owner is friends with the regulars, but this is more a pro than a con. It is welcoming, and a great place for a conversation. There's something wonderfully casual about the place. “The garlic Parmesan fries were good. I had ordered a Nutrl drink and they didn’t have it after I ordered, so the server convinced me to try a different drink. It was really good. Boyfriends beer was good too. Good speed of service given the Jets game just got out (we went after the last game of the regular season). Only thing was when they brought us our bill it still had the Nutrl on there plus the one I ended up having. Server fixed it right away, but it should have been fixed before it was given to us. But it was great service otherwise!“

“Salisbury House has been a part of my life since I was a child. Since moving to South Winnipeg, the Stafford Steet Sals has been my go-to location. Great food and specials, as well as a seniors menu. The decor includes some famous Winnipeg musician items that adds a uniqueness to the space. The pancakes have always been my favorite item, as well as the egg nips and coleslaw.“

“If you are looking for a variety of great tasting fresh roasted coffee, served by a staff that is both personable and friendly and who clearly enjoy where they work, I highly recommend the Thom Bargen Coffee Roasters at 64 Sherbrooke St. Naturally there is a cost for the coffee, but the variety of eclectic background music and the warm atmosphere are free.“

“We were served by Jade who is a very lovely person. She took good care of us. The special burger we have for tonight is absolutely AMAZING. I definitely recommend to keep this burger on the menu permanently. Best burger for Le Burger Week so far in my opinion. Plus the view was awesome too.“
