“Went there with my boyfriend today. We ordered takeout, so I can’t speak on the buffet, but everything we got tasted fresh and well made.
One thing we both noticed right away was how clean the place was. Like genuinely clean. We even commented on it while waiting for the food. As someone who works in food service myself, that’s always something I pay attention to.
The portions were HUGE too. We both love food and usually finish everything no problem, but this time we only made it halfway through before giving up.
We came right at opening and the restaurant was already almost full, which honestly says a lot on its own. It feels like one of those local family run spots that has a loyal customer base for a reason.
I’ve seen some negative reviews mentioning food safety concerns, but personally I’ve eaten here more than once now and never had any issues. Everything tasted fresh both times.
Will definitely be coming back. The only thing I wish they had is congee because I’d order that instantly it’s my favourite, but it’s just personal presence and outside of that super great experience!”

“The room was huge and inviting updated with a more modern design. Clean and well kept. Not to mention alot of bang for the buck. The staff were friendly and ready to please. The hotel was charming and had a very cozy feeling. clients were nice and well behaved as well. karaoke night was interesting to see and never a dull moment. thanks for the great experience Ste Anne Hotel. I'll rate it myself on a scale of 1-10 a 9. Pet policy should not include service pets and emotional support pets in its exemption from the extra cost for the good old family friend but other than that my experience was top notch and I would recommend people give it a try and see for themselves.”

“I stopped into the lounge at Smitty’s in Steinbach today and was really impressed. Annika was behind the bar and she may be one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had, warm, professional, and she made me feel completely welcome right away. Even with my slightly unusual order (2-egg breakfast with 4 extra eggs), she didn’t bat an eye, just handled it with ease and a smile. The food came out great, the restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere felt relaxed but polished. As a visitor, I’d say this is one of the top spots in Steinbach if you’re looking for a clean, friendly place to grab a meal or bring a client.”

“Great people- this place is fantastic. Takeout only- small rolls, always fresh and fantastic. Volcano roll and agedashi tofu highly recommended. I’ve had a lot of their menu and it’s all very good. “We were there on Sept 1, 2026. It is very clean place we had the 2 piece chicken special It was delicious. The chicken was hot and fresh My husband said it was the best chicken he has had. The pieces were big. Portions of the fries and mashed potato were good sized. After 4 they give you this I will call wagon wheels (batter deep fried) which are very addictive. The staff are the best”

“We had Bigg Smoak cater our 30th wedding anniversary yesterday. The food was fabulous. 👌 Pulled pork, Texas brisket, bbq chicken, loaded potato salad, baked beans, Strawberry salad and cornbread. Your Detroit style slices n Stix is so unbelievably good I thought I was dreaming when I first had it. Your crazy bread truly makes me crazy on the fumes alone, and once you taste it your even crazier.

The workers are amazing and have great service. I want to go every single day not just for the taste, but for the experience. I have never had such an amazing, truly caring experience, and it was awesome. On top of this, your prices are so affordable I can eat an entire meal for under $10. You don't find this anymore🥹
