She was thrilled to have her own cake worth every penny all the guests got regular cupcakes. I will be ordering one for Father’s Day for sure. The staff is wonderful. I love the little store. Despite the fact that the cafe is inconspicuous from the outside, there is a nice atmosphere inside, lots of space, clean, high-quality, well-kept furniture, and pleasant music in the background. The only thing I miss there is the smell of croissants baking. Overall, I'm glad to have this cafe near my house. I will definitely visit here again!“

“Recently ordered from them, it was last minute order. I called around 1:30 pm for cake order and I was surprised they made it so quickly that it was ready to be picked up by 4:00 pm same day. The cake was beautiful, very tasty, fresh, had right amount of moisture, very soft and the cream was not too sweet. Everything was just perfect. Also the owners are super nice. “I went into Double D's when I needed to find something for dessert for a family dinner. I was met by a wonderfully cheery woman that informed me that she was one of the D's in Double D's. I had never been there before and I let her know that, and she was not only extremely helpful but awesomely charismatic and you could tell she had a passion for what she was doing. She told me to try the Pistachio, Blueberry, and Skor and they were all a hit. I wish I could remember her name, but I do know I will be going back next time I am in Winnipeg! Definitely recommend!“

I haven't tried a lot of their sweets because as a diabetic I have to watch my sugar intake, but what I have tried has been delicious. The paninis and chicken soup are to die for. I purchased a chicken empanada today for dinner. That was the first item that I was disappointed with. There was a lot of puff pastry. The inside was doughy/gummy. There was a massive cavity on one side that had about 2 tablespoons of bland chicken filling. It was over $5 with tax. I ended up eating only one bite of the pastry and all of the filling. Sadly the rest of the pastry ended up in the garbage.🙁 The empanada was a one-off. All of my previous purchases and experiences there have been wonderful. I would highly recommend this bakery.“

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was inviting - overall it was a great experience. They bake all of their products fresh daily, so you get handmade, freshly baked goods!. “Tonight we had one of the best customer service experiences we’ve had in long time. Menchie is an absolute angel!!! We had our friends over who are expecting their first baby. Decided to order in desert but when we finished the selection and went to order on skip, the store was closed for orders - by two minutes. We decided to phone to see if there was any way to let the order go through but they explained that is controlled by skip the dishes. To make a long story short, when they heard it was for a pregnant, newly expecting mother, Menchie offered to personally deliver our order after their shift ended and the store closed. “Fresh korean rice cakes! Very good! Soft and chewy. :)) I visted with a family member.

We have eaten rice cakes before, but only have tried korean rice cakes a few times. This time we tried 절편 Jeolpyeon and 호박떡 Pumpkin Rice Cake. I love rice cakes so my personal favourite was the 절편 Jeolpyeon! There is nothing inside, just pure rice cake, but they have two flavors: mugwort and normal. ? The 호박떡 Pumpkin Rice Cake was more similar to western cake texture, except it was made with rice flour and pumpkin so it was a fluffy and springy cake, but denser than sponge cake. It was $5 for each one.

I think I first heard of this store when I saw their products around various asian grocery stores across Winnipeg. I have actually been wanting to visit their store for years now, probably around 2020, but never got around to it until yesterday. This store does large order quantity and also does small quantity. Large order should be ordered by phone or you can visit their instagram page @Winnipeg_dducksarang (linked as their website on the google page). They seem most active on instagram and even post daily what they will sell on the menu that day. You should go earlier in the shop day because they may sell out if you go later. ?“

“We always come here as it is near my workplace. They always make fresh bread and cakes. They have lots of different kinds of buns and some sweets. My favorite is the pineapple custard bun, coconut macarons, bbq pork bun and mochi! They also have fresh mango cake. They don't make a lot so whatever they have that day are guaranteed fresh. When it's gone it's gone! Just try again the following day. Highly recommended and lovely owners!“
