“Yes, agree with most other reviewers, absolutely fabulous Eggs Benedict & prepared & served quite uniquely! Served on Bannock, (a nice & tasty change) but their version of hollandaise sauce is all their own and is truly divine. Likewise, for their smash potatoes, they came with an Aioli sauce drizzled over them, and the taste was different, but so so good! Will absolutely keep coming back and have also been telling everyone about this place. The space is quite small though, so is a little cramped. We were seated in front of the counter, which is near the door, and every time someone entered, which was a lot as they're so busy, it was quite chilly so that made for some of the experience not being ideal. All of the staff seemed very professional, kind, and aim to please.“
“Totally in the top 3 fav restaurants of all time in Winnipeg, hands down. Amazing food and drink. The pics I posted: one is the flaming Mai tai drink and the other is their bone marrow . Delicious. It’s an experience. Great staff. Feels like you are in on their secret. Big fans of this speakeasy. We love you guys! Stay here forever please.“
“Dined without a reservation around 7pm on a Wednesday night. When we arrived it was a busy night because of $1 oysters and a smaller sized restaurant. We waited for a table at the bar top and got one way before the time quote which was a nice surprise. The drinks were booze forward and sophisticated but very tasty, I tried the mike wazowski which was a floral tasting drink as well as the penicillin which had an unusually interesting Smokey after taste. My partner who doesn’t like to taste his liquor tried the hotel Nacional and he enjoyed it. For appetizers we got the calamari and it was cooked perfectly with what I can only imagine was house made tzatziki as it was the best I’ve had. Our mains came out perfectly timed and looking gorgeous. I got the steak frites medium rare and my partner got the lakeshore pickerel. My steak was cooked perfectly and was way bigger than I had initially imagined, it was also perfectly seasoned. The pickerel was the only reason this review has a 4/5 stars, as there seemed to be only about 3oz of pickerel on the dish and they were quite bland. On the menu it doesn’t state the protein portion size for this dish and my partner was dissatisfied. In the picture you can see my steak portion compared to his pickerel portion and featuring the penicillin cocktail. The price difference between the steak and pickerel was only $2.I wish I could give a shout-out to the bartender who helped us out and our server in the lounge but I didn’t get there names!! If your reading this, great service, service always elevates an evening out. Will be coming back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free optionsWheelchair accessibility: Many tables had areas where you could move aside a stroller or wheelchair“
“We stayed at the Best Western and did not want to go out for dinner. We picked Bella on the ground floor. Place was not busy, even if there were some customers in the lounge. Service was friendly. I had the tomato soup, a very pleasant surprise followed by a Reuben with heaps of pastrami on rye. My wife had the smoked salmon on a bed of lettuce with capers and red onions, a toasted bagel and cream cheese. Both were big portions. A beer to help the food go down and life was good. Recommended. We also had breakfast there the next morning and again, service was friendly and food better than your average BW breakfast.“
“I LOVE this restaurant. We have been here dozens of times, and drive an hour just to enjoy it and to get takeout when they weren’t able to be open. The food and atmosphere are always amazing and the serving staff are fabulous. We will be back many, many more times.“
“Amazing atmosphere, food and cocktails. my wife and I have eaten here twice now and have not left disappointed. Creativity sets this place apart from the rest. Their custom cocktails are a must to start you evening. followed by any number of their menu items. I personally love the sea food croquettes. The mood is calm and inviting and the staff are attentive and accommodating. The owners are doing an amazing job adding a bit of elegance to the corner reach of the Westend neighborhood. 100% DO recommend!“
“I live less than a block away from here and they have always been so so nice, but recently I had the absolute unreasonable hospitality moment from them. My partner absolutely loves the mini egg brownie the release every March. Knowing this I reached out asking when they'd be releasing them and if I could place a bigger order for her as a surprise. They told me when they'd have them, but not only that, they held off posting about the release to make the surprise even better!! Like who does that!?! People who care do that. People who have hospitality as part of who they are. Just the absolute best!!!! Also their lunches are fantastic, burger week burger is always top notch, but their baked goods are what ya need to get. From the fresh baked breads, to the croissants, to all the sweets!!! Just the best!! Thank you so much“
“My wife and I came here for dinner, and were blown away by the flavours of each of the dishes we ordered... and we ordered a lot. The mussels came in a cream sauce that was absolutely incredible. The duck confit literally fell off the bone, no exaggeration. We are so looking forward to an opportunity to return.“
“Went in for the first time this past weekend and very surprised. Located in the Norwood, this hidden gem was not what I expected. Food was excellent, flavourful and well proportioned, service was excellent, friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was inviting. Highly recommend.“
“Britany has come to the 'Peg in a fantastic way! Many Winnipeggers might know of the lovely little Creperie on the Provencher Bridge. I was delighted to hear that they have settled in with even more permanent roots right in my backyard of West Broadway 'SoPo' on Sherbrook. It is absolutely delightful. En pointe specialty coffee, en pointe savoury crepes, en pointe deserts and en pointe service. They have managed to take what I consider a rather cold, modern styled new building and warmed it up with all the goodness of a French Patisserie and Restaurant. Outdoor cafe tables and all the goodness of indoor seating as well. You can grab and go, or settle down for a lovely crepe meal with beverage. There was so much eye candy and love for Britany everywhere you looked. But the owners, Kitty & Yvonnick bring there love of their home town Britany together with their love of our Winnipeg together in one of the most trending streets in the city. You must check it out! I feel so lucky to have this a 5 min walk from home“
