Eventbrite said Super Troopers ABBA tribute July 19 @ Blue Note gates at 7:30, show at 8:30pm, but was 10:10 pm before they started, meanwhile the DJ played filler music totally out of step with the older-crowd waiting patiently. When they did start to sing, harmony was optional - we we left disappointed after a few songs. At least we met some nice people at our table that we shared for 2 1/2 hours waiting for the show to start!
I am a regular at Times and Bluenote, it is always amazing.
One of the best things has always been that it is a place to DANCE and show appreciation to the band playing hard for us.
All of the regulars make space and make room. Love this place.
Recently, the demographic has seen some younger folks finally finding out about this amazing gem for live music…the problem, they are taking over the dance floor and making it into a STANDfloor.
