We had a great evening at Hy's. Danny, our server is a veteran at Hy's, and it was great having him as our waiter and catching up, as it has been a while since I've seen him. His experience and suggestions are second to none. Danny explained that the famous Hy's Cheese Toast had changed, mainly due to the change in bread supplier and also the method in which it is prepared. It is still very good, but doe not have the same taste that made their cheese toast...
Went here for a Saturday night date night to celebrate my birthday and to start, the ambiance was classy and elegant. The food and the service was exceptional. I was impressed with the waitresses on the knowledge of the menu. However, drink options can be limited with overpriced non-alcoholic drinks. The dessert was the perfect way to end off this evening. This is the place to be if you're looking for a romantic dinner!
Had the daily special beef medallions done as requested with green brandy peppercorn sauce, with two shrimp sautéed to perfection and very garlicky. Veggies perfect and a potatoe scallop very tasty. Table side Caesar Salad excellent.
