“I've tried many other shawarma places but this one still has the best shawarma in the city. In fact, someone at another Middle Eastern restaurant even told me the same. The ingredients are fresh, the portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the meat is excellent. The service can be hit or miss—sometimes you get very pleasant employees, other times they're just okay, but never bad. One minor concern is that they place their utensils on top of the garbage can next to used rags/towels, which I found a bit off-putting. Overall, everything else was great.“

I came in one person but the service was beyond the expectation. The Kale Salad is my favorite because i usually judge a restaurant’s food quality by tasting the salad or side dish first. The moment i tasted the kale salad, i knew the rest of the itiems were going to be good. The sauces in all dishes here had complex taste that just kept making me keep eating even i was almost full. The pasta tagliatelle is extremely out of question.“

“It was such a lovely time at Original Joey's restaurant. Tiara was our sever such was such a delight. She was friendly, warm, and curtious. The beer battered haddock was amazing . It was my Mom's birthday. we had such a lovely time. Also, she received a free dessert. Chocolate brownie w ice cream. Our dries were just warm when I told Tiara about it she brought out hit fries right away. The service was impeccable. I'm diffently coming back.“

“Really cute place in a purple building! Got here later in the afternoon and grabbed a pizza twists, an oat latte and the last smoked tofu sandwich! Asked if it was vegan too make sure it was. Everything looks so great and love how the bread is all sourdough. The pizza twist tasted better than it looked. And I wished the sandwich had a bit more filling but the bread was super moist and it tasted really nice. The rest of the bread on display looked super delicious could eat bread for days. Overall, great bakery and great energy there. Would totally go back for more.“

“Finally after recommendations we finally decided to try Tony’s pizza. I’m Italian and used to eating homemade pizza and I have had a tough time finding a good pizza here. Well I am impressed !!! Ordered Tony’s Special and a Carnivore. This is pretty close to what I am used to. Good fresh ingredients and lots, good sauce and great tasting dough but I would get a bit thicker crust next time. “As tourists, we love exploring local restaurants to truly experience what the Country or Town has to offer. We were thrilled to find out that Silver Heights is the winner of the Best Barbeque Ribs in Town since 1957. Being Winnipeg’s longest-running family restaurant, we knew we had to give it a try, especially since we were already near Assiniboine Park.

We visited on a weekday afternoon, and the three of us shared a few different dishes from the menu. We had the pickerel, ribs (which came with salad and sides like fries and onion rings), and chicken fingers.

The food was great overall. The ribs lived up to their reputation—absolutely amazing and full of flavor—and the onion rings were crispy and delicious. I had high expectations for the pickerel, but it wasn’t quite to my taste, though that’s just my personal preference. The chicken fingers were okay, nothing too special, but still satisfying.

The price was a bit on the higher side, but given the quality of the food and the long-standing reputation of the restaurant, I can understand why. The service was decent, and the homey ambiance made it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
