We went for Sunday Brunch. The food, service and ambiance were top notch. We especially enjoyed the live music. Will definitely return.
This was my 1st visit to The Lodge Restaurant. I really enjoyed the brunch. The server (Durant) was great. I will definitely be trying lunch and dinner in the future.
Smashing Grapes is a highly regarded restaurant known for its fresh and tasty halibut, amazing drinks like the fruity Purple Rain and the delicious hibiscus drink, and delicious fried green tomatoes with a kick. The cozy atmosphere creates a romantic ambiance, making it a favorite neighborhood spot for date nights and Sunday jazz brunch with an excellent saxophonist. The servers are all excellent and very pleasant. The quality of ingredients and unique dishes, such as the best French onion soup, keep diners coming back. The outdoor patio and bar area with fireplace are popular places to relax.
In addition to its regular menu and vast brunch buffet, Smashing Grapes hosts special events, including performances by a Frank Sinatra impersonator. The restaurant is a top choice in Annapolis for its great service. The space is very comfortable, with cozy booths. Customers have praised the scrumptious food, to include the raw bar, carving station, and omelette station. The short rib and lamb shank are cooked to perfection and are highly recommended, along with the very reasonable restaurant week 3-course option.
While most visits are positive, some guests have experienced delayed service due to being short staffed, though management has responded to ensure anything that was needed. Overall, Smashing Grapes remains a wonderful place to enjoy a meal and create lasting memories.
