“Some friends had clued us in that this place has really good food. From the outside, you get the impression it's a dive bar (which it kind of is), but the inside is clean and well lit. We sat at the bar and were greeted by everyone working there. They introduced themselves, got our names, and as each new person came into the area, they introduced us. We loved everything we had, and the bill was surprisingly inexpensive relative to any other place we typically go. One of gentlemen having his dinner nearby had so many complementary things to say about the food and recurring specials. We'll put this place on regular rotation.“
“This saloon is such a quick spot to go to, for lunch or any type of the day really. I tend to stop here a lot during a lunch break or for happy hour some evenings working in the surrounding area - which I am also never disappointed. Because I've come here so often, I am not sure if it is on Thursdays specifically, but S&J's does offer karaoke during the week. Along with good food, a happy hour menu and great bartenders. My favorite meal there : touchdown chicken wrap, with tator tots. *pictured*“
“Everything is normally 4 - 5 rating. Sitting at the bar i usually get fast service. I get help by jole or phil any they are both amazing always friendly! Food is good and beer is good here. I recommended this place to many people. Ive been to other miller locations before and they where great as well! Always have good food. Food is above average! Recommend a lot on the menu! “This is an Annapolis staple serving good libations to drunks for decades. Not only do they have a great bar life, but they also offer really good food. Try the wings, legit! Service is spectacular, and the staff is super friendly. It's a locals' favorite.“
“We only went in for a cocktail before the movie and were one of two parties inside. The bartender was new but had an excellent personality. He had to look up how to make our two specialty cocktails, but he did so pretty quickly. We explained that we needed our bill since the movie was about to start, and he got us out the door in no time. We didn't eat, but it sure did smell good in there. I'd go back again. By the time we left, it was filling up, so we made it just in time.“
“Pretty good burger, the place was pretty dead tonight and the servers hung around the bar. No refill on my drink. It took almost as long to get my check as it did to eat my food. I get it places have to do more with less people. Over a pleasant experience.“
“We gave this place a try last week when we had a friend staying with us from out of town. It is about what you'd expect from the branding and menu! Our server was super friendly and on the ball with refilling our drinks. There was a band warming up on a Saturday night around 6/630, but the waitress said they didn't start playing until later that night (like 8 or 9pm, I forget the exact time!). It seemed like it would be loud when they started playing, though. The menu was diverse and had tons of options for everyone. We ordered two appetizers (loaded cauliflower/Brussels sprouts and steamed shrimp). Two of us ordered burgers and the third ordered a salad. The appetizers came out quickly and then less than five minutes later our entrees came out- we could have used slower pacing between the two to relax and enjoy our meal. All of the food was good- although it wasn't amazing, everything was solid. Our only complaint was that some of the shrimp were overcooked, but the majority were cooked well. While we were able to get seated right away, there was a few groups waiting by the time we left. Overall, we are glad we gave this place a try and will likely be back!“
“What a gem! You’d never guess a place next to a highway would have such a nice outdoor space. Food was creative and delicious, especially the cauliflower wings! And our server was so kind and helpful (and knew so much about the food). He clearly loved the restaurant and made us feel the same. Will definitely return. Wish the stage was open though—seemed like a really fun place for live music.“
“Absolutely fantastic experience dining here as a stop on a long ride home. We drove past and thought it looked like a nice local tavern with a seaside vibe. The staff and locals were wonderful super welcoming and friendly, the food was absolutely fantastic and the J*** chicken wrap in particular was a real highlight. We will definitely be back on our next road trip.“
