Got a coffee to go for my train journey. The staff was nice and polite, but my coffee had a bug in it

First, I have to apologize for stating a few days ago that I never used my debit card at this Cafe. I never heard of it and forgot I gave my daughter-in-law my debit card to get some sandwiches before we got on the AMTRAK to travel to NY.I must say that the sandwiches were very delicious. Again, I apologize for thinking someone used my debit card. Getting older is no joke…….lolololol. I hope to get some more food in the near future. Best regards, Deborah

Quaint spot and great selection for your under nourished tummy before your trip up north or wherever you’re going. You have a choice of out front of the cafe (to eat) or inside.

Literally couldn't even give me a cup of ice...in todays climate that's a little grotesque of you all. Especially being as how you barely have customers now? But I digress.

I understand that a lot has happened because of pandemic but that doesn't excuse the costumer service given today or any time. There was only one employe, who drag himself as if he didn't wanna be working. So why have it open? In addition to that, I order and paid for something that they didn't have and didn't tell me in advance of my payment even though it hadn't gone through. He provided me with two drinks that are clearly just plain coffee which is not what I order. Both tasted horrible! I Can to this place 3 years ago, my experience was great. Never coming back to this place, who leaves one employee if they can't even do their job proper. Even the other costumer who arrived just left seeing how poorly he treated me and with a smug on his face has the audacity to say "sorry about that" like excuse you? Either higher capable people or train them properly

Hole in the wall spot to grab a bite and drink in the Baltimore train station. Cheap burgers, sandwiches, wings, and snacks. I was pretty underwhelmed with my sandwich, but I needed some food while waiting for my train back to NY. A few tables outside the place to people watch. It is what it is. Not many other options to eat here anyway.

Every time I have been here they messed nmy order up, took 15 minutes to correct it and were rude. I really wanted to give them a second chance but they do not deserve it . Just close the business down you do not want to be here

I've been coming here about 8 times since I travel to Washington DC regularly. The staff is consistently rude or untrained to do simplest things like make a coffee. Today was the tipping point for me. I order a latte and the make cashier can't make it. I wait about 10 minutes really trying to give him benefit of doubt. I ask for refund and ask for a drip coffee. They take another 5 minutes to start the refund I tell them I'm missing my train and that it is incredible that the manager still wants to charge me for the drip coffee. I tell them how the service is always this poor and they tell me to not come back again. I am a very low maintenance customer and always very friendly to people but this place is just terrible.

Great place to just...meet people from all over the country!

Baltimore's Penn Station doesn't offer many food choices. Neither does the immediate neighborhood. In that context, Java Moon is probably the best option available. It's hidden away in a corner, and I wouldn't even have known it was there if a friend hadn't pointed it out. Once inside, I found a bar at one end (didn't partake there) and some food and soft drink options at the other. Opted for a sausage personal pizza and a cherry Coke. In all honesty, the pizza wasn't bad. Lots of sauce, lots of cheese and enough sausage to make it enjoyable. It could have been cut better--the cuts didn't go all the way through, so I had to rip the pie apart in irregular pieces rather than slices--but the taste was OK. Thin crust, and probably a bit larger than most of the "personal" pizzas you see these days. There's seating inside the cafe, and more out in a space in the terminal, so there are plenty of places to eat. Service isn't stellar--while I was there, one of the checkout folks had apparently disappeared, and no one knew where he went--but the people were polite and waits weren't unreasonably long, although the general indifference was palpable. Bottom line: If you're in the station and want to grab something to eat, don't hesitate to come here. If you can eat before arriving at the station, or somewhere closer to your ultimate destination in Baltimore, that's probably a better option. But eating at Java Moon is still cheaper, more convenient and provides a better meal than eating on the Amtrak cafe car, so it's a place worth keeping in mind.

Everything is super pricey. I know what you are thinking. It is in a train station. It a no brainer that they will jack up the price. Ut doe the quality of food you get the money is not worth it.

The staff don't know what's on anything even though they're making it. The "loaded nachos" are just chips and cheese for $8.99. Chips and salsa is $2.49. Them: "We used to have loaded nachos but now we don't have any of that stuff so it's just cheese." Me: "But it's still $8.99?" Them: "Uh I guess. That's what it comes up as."

Thankful, that they had warm breakfast sandwiches when Dunkin Donuts didn't.
