I had the best BLT of my life here (one summer when I was 16, I would only eat BLTs. I had them everywhere we stopped on a road trip from San Francisco to Ohio to San Antonio). The gentleman behind the counter asked if I wanted to add a fried egg and cheese (which I've never in my life considered, nor had anyone ever asked me this) and my life is forever changed. Say yes. Add the fried egg and cheese. Do it.
Hello my name is Greg Gilley CDL driver out of NC every time I come into Baltimore Maryland I try to make it over the Sunny Side Cafe. The shrimp & Grits are amazing the two times I stop in I had that dish. The cooks are awesome as well Kris the owner is amazing herself. Thank you for great service and food.
I had such a great experience, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Ty Ty! She was so sweet, patient, and understanding from the moment I walked in. She could tell I was exhausted and immediately told me to have a seat and relax, which I really appreciated.

Based on the reviews, Sunny Side Cafe is a restaurant located inside Lexington Market on the first floor, with a counter and about six chairs for customers. The food is delicious, and customers should pre-order because the wait is long, but the food is that good. Everything comes out hot, fresh, and portioned like they actually want customers full. The honey cajun catfish is fried to perfection—crispy, flaky, and sitting on top of creamy mascarpone cheddar grits. The Hawt Honey Chic Egg & Cheese has crispy fried chicken dipped in hawt honey, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melty cheddar on a soft brioche bun. Other meals include the steak and egg sandwich, the salmon/sausage (mixed together like a salmon cake), egg, & cheese croissant, and the Brie Rising sandwich. The staff is friendly, and a crew is making magic in the back. Customers are advised to park in a garage to get into the Market unless they know how to use public transportation.
