West Indian Flavor II Restaurant is a go-to place for Roti and Trini food. The roti, curry potato, pumpkin, and an apple J drink with island music are so good. The doubles are tasty, and the oxtail is tender and juicy. The bake and salt fish is good. The curry chicken buss-up shot is incredibly flavorful and not spicy. The chick peas and potato roti, pholourie, and doubles are all well seasoned with good portions. Customer service is very good and timely. However, some experiences have issues. The food was not hot upon arrival, only barely warm. On one visit, the tamarind and pepper sauce was forgotten, and the sorrel was too sugary. Another time, the curried beef roti did not have much flavor and caused stomach pain and diarrhea for four people. The restaurant offered to make it up but did not offer a reimbursement for the $71.82 spent. Despite some bad experiences, many enjoy the food and will return.
