City Lights of China offers good food with great main options and flavorful dishes. The friendly and attentive server makes sure every guest feels welcome. The restaurant has a nice decor and a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Portion sizes are perfect, and prices are reasonable. Takeout orders are nicely packaged, and the service is excellent, making it a pleasant surprise in the area. The menu includes popular dishes like Singapore rice noodles, kung pao chicken, beef with asparagus, and tofu with mixed veggies and basil, all prepared with flavorful ingredients. Guests often enjoy homemade dumplings and noodles, especially the pan-fried veggie dumplings with a delicious mulled veggie mixture inside. The restaurant is also a great option for those with celiac disease, as many dishes can be made gluten-free upon request. The large portions make leftovers that last for days, and the quality remains consistent, whether dining in or taking out. City Lights of China has become a favorite spot for Chinese carry-out and occasional dine-in in the Bethesda area, appreciated for its good food, friendly service, and reasonable prices.
