“Food is really good, one of the best African restaurants I been too, not too many African places can make good tasting food, this is my 2nd best place.... I went yesterday and had the Jolloff rice with goat meat, and my domestic partner also did too, goat pepper soup, pounded yam and egusi soup. The lady their is really nice too, good customer service.“

“Absolutely delicious! I was at an event tonight and this was absolutely the hit. The stew and curry chicken was tender and well seasoned. The portion of food was very generous considering the price (I came back for seconds to go). The owner was personable, kind and hardworking. Definitely worth following this food truck around the DMV. Well done!“

“I’m surprised to see these negative reviews about this restaurant. Since I’ve discovered this restaurant, I’ve always thought it the best of the many Jamaican restaurants I’ve patronized in this area. I have not had a single meal that was not authentically Jamaican: spicy, tasty, and just nice. Keep up the good work Ramoun and team.“

“This place was recommended and I am so glad we tried it. Healthy food. So many options. I ordered the Jerk Mango Salad. I didn’t change a thing and wouldn’t. Perfect kick without being too spicy. Mango salsa was the best I’ve had. We also ordered the BBQ bowl. I wouldn’t change a thing in it. Try the Red Rice. It’s really good. Staff was quick, explained the menu and ordering process and also offered a taste of you weren’t sure you’d like something. 10/10. I’ll be back again.“

“I used this restaurant to cater my Moms 92nd Birthday celebration. I first encountered the owner Hewston Rodney when I phoned the restaurant and he was great to speak with. I shared what we wanted and he put together a meal for us that was amazing. The food was excellent, we had the curry chicken, stew chicken, jerk wings, oxtail, beef and chicken patties, peas and rice, cabbage and curry goat! My family and friends enjoyed all the dishes, well prepared and delicious. It was good to have an experience where the food and the service were top notch!“

“Really good smoked jerk chicken and you don't have to pay extra for plantain! It's replaced the Jamaican restaurant that I used to get my jerk chicken from because they stopped smoking the chicken properly. 2 thumbs up to Dat Jerk!“

“This was my first time coming here and the food was delicious! I had the salmon, plantains, Mac&cheese, rice & beans, & rum cake. Nothing was spicy, everything was well seasoned. My salmon was not falling apart. Mac was rich & cheesy. I also tried my friend’s oxtail and it was VERY Flavorful 🥹😍. I’m not one to be penny pinching either. It was worth my money, I spent about $40 including a drink too.“

“It's authentic Jamaican jerk. I had the large jerk chicken platter with rice & peas, cabbage and plantains and it was excellent. It was a giant portion and I was only able eating about half of it. I will definitely be back!“
