“I had the BYO burger (turkey). I added avocado, tomato, American cheese and caramelized onions with a side of sweet potato fries. I wish they had moscato but I settled for a pineapple ginger cocktail and it was mixed really well. My bff had the oxtail eggrolls appetizer and I tasted a small piece and it was super spicy. She eats spicy all the time and it was even a little spicy for her. My throat and chest are still burning rn and we ate around 1130am. All in all it was a good experience and I will be surly visiting again. They also give a military discount so don’t forget to ask for it.“
“Food is pretty solid especially for barely $8 on the lunch special you get a filling plate of food there's nothing to complain about here. I will say maybe a bit light on the chicken but it's fine. The rice is well seasoned and I quite enjoyed every bite. Very tasty stuff. They also have a nice variety of Jamaican drinks in the fridge too. My picture doesn't do the food justice! I was too busy eating and forgot haha. The service here is very fast, you could get a plate of food for barely over $8 in maybe 5 minutes max so if you're in the area and short on time this is a great choice. The actual people doing the service here isn't too great though honestly, the lady behind the counter doesn't say too much really. I also factor in the price in service for my reviews, so I would give them 5 star price, 2 star service, evens out to 3 stars.Atmosphere here is interesting. Tables are a bit tacky with glitter under epoxy with the Jamaican flag as colors, and it's a bit simple. I wish there was more business here because with all of the lids closed on the food it's not super inviting. They always have some nice reggae music playing. At first when I walked in I didn't see anyone, customers or staff, and so I was pretty confused. The lady was on her phone behind the dessert case before she took my order, and after.I may be a bit critical of random things here but overall it's pretty good. I would come here again and I wish there was more business“
“My sister and I went tonight to try the location on Main Street in laurel MD. We got the curry goat, with rice and peas, veggies and plantain. As well as the oxtail, with rice and peas, veggies and plantain. The portion amount was pretty nice over all. Both bowls were $21 each but it was absolutely amazing! The service was very welcoming as well! I will definitely be back for more !“
“Delicious! We got the sandwiches, soup, and also a rice entree for the table. The sandwiches are really good. The chimichurri sauce was freshly made and tasted great as an addition to my steak sandwich. The portion sizes were solid. Everything tasted like it was freshly made, and the quality was really reflected in the taste. We had almost no leftovers left and took everything left home! I also recommend the rum cake as a good dessert option.“
“Came here on a whim because I had a taste for some Caribbean food and lamb chops, and I was not disappointed. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the staff and the premises was nice and clean. I ordered the lamb chops, rice and peas, and greens and cabbage. I also ordered the deviled eggs with shrimp as an appetizer. Though the price was a bit high it was definitely worth it. They brought my appetizer out before the entree which I must say is important to me. The deviled eggs were amazing! I got 5 of them and good sized shrimp with jerk sauce. I could eat a dozen of these!! Next the lamb chops. They were okay, tons of flavors the only thing I can say is I wish they were cooked medium/medium rare but that may be on me for not asking. These were cooked closer to medium well, which wasn't bad but not my preference. But the rice and peas were great as was the greens and cabbage. The portion sizes are good (not too much and not too little) Overall, my meal was satisfying and I would return. The staff made sure I was good (also clean bathroom!) Check this place out!“
“I ordered the Curry Chicken, rice and peas with plantains and I was pleasantly surprised at how DELICIOUS the food was. Everything was fresh, hot, tasty and so full of authentic Jamaican flavor. The food was Excellent, it was so good I could not stop eating. I have not had Jamaican food this good in many years! I have definitely found a gem and will be visiting or ordering often. I highly recommend D&D Caribbean Kitchen, you will not be disappointed. Thank you D&D, you guys set the bar high. My rating is 100 Stars ?“
“WoahThat's my review... woah. I gave the Atmosphere 4 stars because it is tucked away behind a business park. I saw that the ratings here were good and drove through to try it. But wow, it's 20 minutes before the lunch close (Arrived at 1:40pm) and wasn't sure what I was getting into. The place is packed. That speaks for itself, 20 minutes before lunch close. The first thing that happened as we walked through the door was that we were greeted by the owner. He later went on to ensuring my food was brought out asap, as he saw my lunch buddy was already eating. He was doing this for all the guests that had any sort of wait. But then... the 'woah'. I love caribbean food. I do, I love oxtail, I love rice and beans, I love stewed chicken... but damn if this wasn't the best darn caribbean food I have ever had. I stole a fry from my buddy, great fry. But then I got my food and tried the stewed chicken... the flavors... the mac and cheese side... wow, that might be the best mac and cheese I've ever had. I could only get through half of it before the itis kicks in, but that's fine, I wanted to bring this home so my family could taste it.I overheard they are making a juice bar, the no sugar added kind. Owner was super friendly and chatted us up. But hot damn, that food.. was.. woah. It actually makes the fact that it's tucked away in the back of a business park that much better... it made it a hole in the wall, a diamond in the rough, a gem. Will be back.“
“I had a taste for Jamaican food and randomly found this restaurant in a Google search. Based on the reviews I took a chance and it paid off big time! The restaurant was immaculate! I would have no problem dining in if I were not going home. The staff was pleasant and answered my questions. I did not order in advance, so I had a short wait. But they had grown & sexy music playing so I was engaged and the time went by quickly. When I got home and opened my container, I was shocked to see the amount of food they give you. It was enough for 2 servings (would have liked a little more cabbage)! The food was DELICIOUS! The coco bread tasted like someone had just finished baking it! The beef patties were good. I had brown stewed chicken and my husband had oxtails. Both were outstanding. We also had carrot cake and bread pudding. My husband loved the carrot cake. Unfortunately, I did not try either. We have grown up our whole life eating Jamaican food and are very picky but this place is a winner! I immediately told my girlfriend about it. And we will be back!“
“I will take this time out of my busy schedule to write an honest and lengthy review, especially because I don't have a picture to add (You'll understand why as you read below ?). Well deserved too ?. For the years I've been living in Bowie, FINALLY a Jamaican ?? restaurant I can go to and enjoy every bite! ? when I get home from a long shift at work, the last thing on my mind is going in the kitchen. Ramoun is truly a hunger savior! I am truly impressed by the authentic Jamaican food I can get at my fingertips! I mean, every single thing my family and I have eaten at this restaurant makes our eyes roll in our heads and moments undisturbed, as the food touches our palate ?. I can't begin to name the many items we have tried from regular everyday food, to Special food (specific days for each meal) such as Stew peas, Red beef soup, Seafood and more. The delicious menu selection makes us salvate every time! My fave is the Fry Chicken with Curry Goat gravy on the rice and peas ? my daughter is over the moon for the Stew Peas lol. The true and original selection of drinks they offer are to die for! Not to mention, when that Pineapple ginger hits your throat, it's almost like an assurance of a quick fix to any inflammatory response, common cold has to go away ?. Just recently my family tried the rum cake and they still can't get over how tasty and moist it is! To top it off, the staff is extremely nice and pleasant, the ambience and atmosphere is great and always clean ? and the hours are very convenient. By the way, the graphic designer did an awesome job with that logo.Jay“
