“Every single time I’ve either ordered food in person or from Uber Eats from here, I have NOT been disappointed. Best Ghanaian food I’ve had in the DMV so far. The portions are very generous as well, which I appreciate. The owner is so kind and you can tell she’s very passionate about running this restaurant. 10/10!“

Huge helping of oxtail, rice and peas, cabbage, and collard greens! The to go plate was HEAVY!

This was hands down the best oxtail plate I’ve ever eaten! Had a little heat to it, some sweetness, meat was juicy and fell off the bone nice and smooth. The sides were also full of flavor, which has been an issue in the past with other restaurants. A lot of places focus on the entrees and completely neglect the sides.

“We were really excited to eat here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it was one of the best dinner experiences we’ve had in DC. Not exaggerating, it’s the best sauce work on dishes we have ever tasted. The sauces for the piri salad, branzino, and shrimp were the highlights while the oysters were the standout. Our server (Cesar) was phenomenal and gave us great recommendations. We are excited to come back here with our friends in the near future!“

The atmosphere was already great, but what truly elevated the entire experience was our bartender, Camryn. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. Her energy and service alone are reasons to come back. They have several vegan dishes and everything I tried was delicious. While the ambiance is a bit underwhelming, it is honestly so nice to eat someplace where no one has to shout to be heard. “I’ve been going to Caribbean Superior since 2016. I’m a regular for their breakfast, patties, and soups. The food quality has remained solid. However their portion sizes are not consistent (and far as protein goes) and have become significantly smaller since May. It’s either raise the prices or make the portions smaller, but doing both is a little crazy and it makes it difficult to continue to be a patron here.“

“I really enjoyed their jerk chicken. First of all it’s actually made on the grill. Second you smell it the moment you enter the parking lot. I get my grilled with the sauce on the side and it was perfect and authentic. Whoever said it was burnt and thought that pic was proof knows nothing about jerk chicken. Mine was super moist. I liked it and I recommend.“
