“Food is amazing. My husband and I left with a full stomach. We got the combo for 2. It came with 2 rice bowls and 2 side dishes. We picked spicy flavor for our soup, fish and beef as proteins, and bean curd sticks and king oyster mushroom as toppings. For the 2 side dishes, we chose fried pork belly and housemade sticky rice cake. The flavor of the soup is bursting with flavor and put a smile on my face. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back. I will be dreaming of that delicious rice cake dipped in brown sugar syrup.

As an example, one review gave them a 4-star commenting food is great, quality is great, but expensive. Yes, if you compare this place with most cheap Chinese all you can ear places, $33 does seem expensive. However, fresh and high-quality food cost me. I am willing to pay extra for good, fresh food. As another example, I was shocked to see a review giving them only 3 stars commenting she got sick (even though she said she loved the food there). I was wondering if she did not cook her food well in the hot pot, or she couldn't handle the spices.”

“Saw the local noodle shop with great reviews, decided to try it. It was a good solid 4 for their most popular chicken noodle soup! Very flavorful on the chicken broths! Totally forgot to take a pic before we desecrated both dishes. The running egg for the side add-on for a buck was totally worth it! Cooked the egg to perfection. Will be back once the weather gets colder, for that perfect soupy kinda day!”

“We’ve been to Ela 3 times now and the food and service has been exceptional. From the 1st visit when George Papaevangelou greeted us and took care of our dog Meredith sitting outside, to the 2nd and 3rd time where Dimitri behind the bar gave us tips on where to stay in Crete. We found our neighborhood restaurant and I give it 4 STARS. Start off with Zucchini Chips as an appetizer . They know how to fry. Or get the Fried Sardines as a special!!! Dinner you can’t go wrong with any of the fresh fish dishes and the Greek bean stew is my favorite side dish. For lunch I had a Lamb sandwich that was served like a French Dip with lamb au jous on the side. It was delicious . For dessert get the coconut cake that is so moist you want a 2nd slice👏👏👏”

“I don't usually write reviews, but this new (at least to me) restaurant deserves one. I ordered the Pomelo salad and tom yum soup for (takeout) dinner, but the salad would have been plenty. It was delicious!!! Big chunks of luscious, juicy sweet pomelo, fat grilled shrimp (more than I expected - 4? 5?), sweet shredded carrots and herby peppers in a tangy, spicy dressing. I never did get to my soup. Oh well, I'll have it for lunch... My husband had the Koong Pad Black Pepper, which is a shrimp stirfry with broccoli, ginger and garlic. It looked wonderful also, and he raved about it, but I wasn't tempted.Mine was too good.”
