“Check out "The Spot".. there's 6 restaurants inside. It's like a mini Union Market. Mostly Asian or Korean food but they do have a soul food place and a Boba/ smoothie place. There's also a bar in the center. Pool table and plenty of seating. Parking isn't an issue. There are other restaurants near by. I ate at the Korean taco spot and got a rice bowl with bulgogi. Good portion of food, priced well, and very tasty. I like the multi-restaurant buildings. It gives you the opportunity to try different places and have something salty/ savory and sweet.“

All of their food is good - street tacos are my go to, mussels with a tasty tomato sauce is my back up. Try this hidden gem in the Crown Plaza hotel.“

“Wine market, bar, small plates joint in a good location. Stopped in for a flight and light bite on a Saturday night. The downstairs bar/market was packed, lots of energy, and buzzing. We were upstairs because we had a reservation. Decidedly quieter up there only a couple of other folks dining, the back room had a large party (15) cozy with lighting in the right place. We started with a flight and narrowed in on Pomerol by the glass. The Somm was friendly, knowledgeable, and made a good suggestion for our final glass, a Cahors. A licorice-bomb that we really liked. On the food side, we were very basic, fries with homemade ketchup; French onion soup, with cheddar and a nice bread on the side; and roasted/fried cauliflower with yogurt, pine nuts, and pickled raisins, which was a little overdone. We didn't venture much further on the food menu, but we were really here for the wine anyway. On our way out, we perused the markets but weren't able to find that Cahors in a bottle server/somm. sensing our dilemma, procured a bottle for us from the back. Nice experience, I'd explore more by the glass options here and they have some interesting finds in the wine market.“

“I had a terrific time at dinner this week at The Tasting Room. I stopped in because the sign out front caught my attention something along the lines of "Our bartender is cheaper to talk to than your therapist." I was lucky to sit at the bar, and I in fact had a wonderful time talking with the bartender. I believe her name was Alexandria. She let me know that a few things were not available behind the bar due to a recent purchase of the hotel and restaurant, which did not really change my experience. I was disappointed that there were no tea leaves for a tequila drink I saw on the menu. It would have made for a fantastic drink, and for those that like drinks worthy of pictures, this would be it. The smoked old-fashioned was what I settled on, and I was not disappointed. Food was delicious, service was outstanding, and my experience was for sure influenced by the bartender.“

Bonus points for playing interesting movies and music that doesn’t rely on an algorithm!

Kid-friendliness: They have kids sliders and chicken tenders, just not seen on the main menu I think. They’re always great to our kids. And kids generally love rock music, which is what goes on here. Go before 8-ish, I think bands play after 9 or so.“

“Amazing dumplings. Chicken and ginger were great. Takes a little longer since they make them to order. Worth the wait. Normally it is busy, but no line today.

Seating in the space minimal, but rooftop of Union market gives more space.

Parking: Park in the neighborhood and walk. Parking lot can be full.“

“The food is consistent and very good quality. The service was not very good. They don't seem to understand basic ordering. Strangely, the beer and food are very German and that's where it ends. The music was heavy metal, the feel of the restaurant is odd, and there is nothing very authentic about it except for the food.“

“I've been attending Emissary x Pergamino (on 20th St) for nearly 6 years, including moves in and out of town, visits back, and finally resettling nearby. Across that time, and a range of baristas, the espresso, food, and atmosphere have remained consistently great. It is a cozy space to work or meet, and the staff is always friendly and effective. It's a great asset to the neighborhood.“
