“I stopped by on a Thursday night to meet a friend. My first time eating here but it won’t be my last. I had the soondae tteokbokki and it was delicious but the variety Korean jeon… I’ll be back just for that. Please be mindful that the Korean ‘pancakes’ are savory and not sweet. I’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.“

“I have come here to eat for years even when they where at another location since I was little. I have always come here when I want very good food, the best to be exact or when life has me down. The staff is so friendly. I even came to pick up my take out order one time and I had gotten a flat tire driving over just before turning in and they even came out to help me without even asking. “Ordered boneless wings. Even though the chicken was thoroughly cooked it seemed like the grease was not hot enough as they were soaked with oil. In addition, there was an odd taste as if the vats were used for cross cooking other proteins. The boneless chunks were also unlike any other I've had as they were very fatty and grisly. Maybe the sandwich or regular wings would be better, but with the other options like Dave's etc, I think I'll have to pass.“

This is the place I come to whenever I want to eat Korean food while living in the United States.
It's similar to Korean hoedeopbap, but you can think of it as healthier and less salty!
The owner is kind and if you don't know how to eat it, you can ask him to make it with his combination and he will make it very delicious.“

“Overall, the food was tasty and the staff were friendly. I especially enjoyed the grilled mackerel. The hot stone bibimbap was too oily for me, though. I get that they probably added extra oil to keep it from burning, but it ended up being a bit too greasy and I couldn’t finish it. The place was a little on the dark side inside, but overall, it was a nice meal.“

Very authentic from food selection, drinks offered, to interior atmosphere, wall decorations and the service. There is nothing fancy here, only hearty Korean vibes and food here. Everything is reasonably priced given the shareable size portions of each order. If you understand Korean culture, you will know how authentic this place is and will not complain about the service. “The food is always amazing here. The service is good, but not necessarily great. The ladies that are doing the orders and also waiting tables always seem too busy to put in that extra added time with customers that pushes it over the top, but they are definitely pleasant and professional.

That aside, the food is AMAZING. The price is reasonable. The atmosphere is something that appeals to everyone I've brought here so far. Overall, this is definitely an amazing find and a place that I would recommend to friends and family.“

“We stopped by for Thai food but noticed an abundance of Korean restaurants in the mall. After a quick Google Maps check, we chose this one—and it did not disappoint! The authenticity was evident, with all the staff being Korean and only a few speaking English.

The food was excellent for the price. We ordered the special combination for two, which was more than enough for three—my husband, teen son, and me. The highlight was the thick pork belly: it looked greasy at first, but once grilled and cut into bite-sized pieces, it was incredible. The fat rendered out, leaving the meat perfectly crispy and chewy.

The two men also shared a seafood pancake, while I was already satisfied with the small dishes—like the steamed egg and soup—that came with the meal.“

“Great service, it's an over the counter restaurant, how much can you expect? I only come for soondae guk combo. I used to live near the Annandale Seoul Soondae. Always loved soondae guk. This dish isn't for everyone, but if you love hardy Spicey soup. This dish might be for you. Even though this is the only place I know of that sells this soup around the area. I still think it is worthwhile for my craving.“

Great food but the server we initially got has to work on her attitude. She kept ignoring me and my partner when clearly we were here before other guest. “Good place for a casual dinner and drinks. It’s a chill spot, nothing fancy—spacious enough and they have a full bar. Food was good—enjoyed the Dried Filefish, Seafood Spicy Tofu Soup and the Pork Cutlet! My friends liked the Boiled Pork Belly and Spicy Stir-Fried Squid as well. Drinks wise, we got the Somaek Tower—comes with a beer tower of your choice of beer, and a bottle of Soju. And service was great!“
