I was amazed, and immediately upon arrival, they gave us a table, and the staff took good care of us from the time we arrived until we left. The food was good, and the service was amazing. “The food was really good. We tried majority of the appetizers and I got a burger with truffle fries. My favorite appetizer was the crab Rangoon. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and had some good recommendations. They offer predominantly dry wine and only have a few options for sweet BUT the sweet wine that was offered was delicious. “We always have a good experience here but I just want to give them some praise for the accessibility. The disabled bathroom stall is so nice. First of all, it’s the very first stall right next to the door (I’ve never seen that, usually it’s the furthest stall all the way in the back, which can be annoying when you can’t walk very far). It’s also quite large, larger than your standard “accessible” stall. I would have no problem fitting in the stall with my wheelchair and my service dog. A standard accessible stall is barely big enough to fit my wheelchair, let alone with my service dog. I had a lovely conversation with the manager about the accessibility and I love the response he gave, that he doesn’t just want things to meet basic ADA standards, he wants things to be better/more accessible (because ADA standards for accessibility are quite literally the bare minimum and often aren’t easy to navigate). I really appreciate when I hear that type of sentiment because accessibility for disabled people is usually such an afterthought or simply not considered. I’ve recently had an extremely negative experience at another establishment, and it was just very nice to have such a pleasant experience this evening. I also love that every time I’ve taken my service dog, from the time he was a young puppy to now at 18 months and nearing fully trained, they’ve been very welcoming.“

“We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Walrus as usual. Their shucking raw bar is the best. Seafood is always fresh and delicious. Their staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Aaron was no exception. We went for Chesapeake Oyster week and half price on raw bar Tuesday so we enjoyed a great meal at a fantastic price. Highly recommend, going back real soon.“

“The restaurant is great for a casual night out. My steak was a bit over cooked but still tasty and was a great value for the set menu price. At first, I was a bit surprised at the small plate set in front of us. I was not expecting a second helping of the same plate to arrive after we finished the first!“

“The atmosphere and staff here are top-tier EASILY a 5-star experience on that front alone. The vibe is warm, creative, and welcoming, and the service was just as impressive. However, when it comes to the food, I’d say it was just okay. Nothing I’d send back, but also nothing that made me want to rave or insist someone else try it. I went on a Saturday morning for breakfast, so maybe lunch or dinner would be a different story. I’d absolutely return, if only for the ambiance and experience.“
