The food was good and fresh, kids had chicken shawarma platter and husband had the Ruben sandwich, I had the gyro special. My favorite of everything was the garlic sauce.

“Once you try one of the Sunshine Store's sandwiches, you will wonder why it took so long to try one! 😊 My husband and father in law introduced me to this hidden pleasure the first time I visited the area. We started with breakfast (tasting the local culinary treasure of scrapple), then I was introduced to their burgers on the same trip, and I was surprised that everything is cooked to order. I have not found any burger yet that is close to comparison!! My husband's family has made this a regular stop for sandwiches over several decades and generations. My father in law (nearby farmer/owner of Greenstone Custom Farming) has eaten there for several decades along with feeding his crew from this hidden gem, this has been a favorite of my husband's since he was old enough to eat there, and now it is a favorite place for our children to eat with grandpa. The store is small and with limited seating, it would be best to order the food to go or if you are eating alone you can sit at the counter and watch your food be prepared. A must try in the area and definitely worth the drive through the beautiful countryside!“

“I went there on the Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t too busy. I ordered only plantains and it was delicious and cooked in a record time. The staff was respectful and friendly ; they had a large selection of empanadas. And i really like the atmosphere. Also they had some very good sauces. It tastes natural and homemade.“

“I absolutely love this location. This is one of the few Burger Kings in Frederick that still has an outdoor playground. The restaurant is always kept very clean. As soon as the table leaves, they literally wiped down the tables. Their drive-through is fast and efficient. And the food is always made fresh. They also have the Burger King crowns everywhere for kids to wear.“

“Walking in I was greeted right away. I was asked if I was going to dine in or takeout. I said dine in and was handed a menu and was told I can pick any seat.

The waitress came over and took my order. Breakfast Burrito, Blueberry Pancakes and Coffee! She asked what I wanted with the Pancakes. She mention potatoes, tomato’s. I opt’ed for the tomatoes since it was already going to be a good amount of food. I did ask if I could get a spicy mayo with the burrito. Sadly she said no. It comes with a salsa.

Coffee was good hot and fresh. Food came out. Everything was hot and yummy. The burrito had a classic omelette flavor. The salsa didn’t really add much to it. Sour cream was also served with it. I doubt I would get it again. I would just get a omelette. The pancakes were loaded with blueberries. Phenomenal!

Service was great! The waitress refilled my coffee 3 times. The aesthetics, it feels like the deli could use an update. You can tell it’s an older place. Still clean and all the plates, silverware, glasses were clean. Some people might be put off by how the deli looks inside.

Overall very good experience!

I know it would be easy to "just give food", but the group of people in this Roy's do it with a compassion and professionalism that is just perfect. Our site provided the Red Cross with fifty units of blood today and the Roy's is an integral part of that accomplishment. “This has nothing to do with their food or the inside. However I saw them do something a few minutes ago that I need to share for them. A lady was evicted and she sat outside all night with her stuff so nobody would take it. Today she got a uhaul and was hauling all her furniture alone. I didn’t see anybody she knows helping or just anybody in general helping. Until today I saw employees at five guys helping her load the truck. They went beyond their job title. It was just truly awesome of them to do this.“

McDonald’s is McDonald’s but the service makes this location special and I come to this one versus Flower Hill because the safety and food is night and day better.“

All the staff were attentive and friendly. I placed an order for a cup of hot Cappuccino via McDonald’s APP and I added extra milk. The female staff fulfilled my customized requirements and quickly made it.

“8.23.25 - our server was Faith and she was excellent! She was happy and provided exceptional service! There were some customers that she had that were not the nicest and she handled it with grace. The food was like any other ihop you go to, yummy!“

“While we usually enjoy going to Applebee's, this most recent experience left a bit to be desired. While the service was excellent, the food left us a bit flat. My tomato soup had an overdose of cheese and there was a metallic taste to the soup. The garlicy green beans were dry and missing seasoning and the pasta was dry and missing enough sauce to complete the dish. Usually we don't have any complaints, but felt that something may have been of that evening.“
