I figured they'd be masters of medium rare given the restaurant's name, but unfortunately I wasn't served a medium rare steak. The first course they served was rare, with a good part of the center uncooked. The sauce was good, but the doneness made it much too chewy. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for my second course, and again, was not served a medium rare steak. This time, though, on the opposite end of the spectrum— the steak was served medium well, without much pink. I'm mildly confused by two things: how there's this much variance in steak doneness, and why a restaurant named Medium Rare seemingly hasn't figured out how to make a medium rare steak. I'd give it a 6/10 overall— I wish the food was treated better.“

“This place does not disappoint! The matcha bubble tea I ordered was one of the best bubble teas I have ever had. It was creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness and tapioca pearls. Also, the strawberry tiramisu was of this world! It was so light and perfectly balanced that I quickly ate it all up. The prices are also reasonable and the owners are very nice and patient. I will definitely be going back!“

The Ravini Politiko, coconut cake was the best I ever ate! The Thalissina, seafood pasta had plenty of seafood in it and delicious. Even the cappaccino was delicious, very smooth, no bitterness and taste great with dessert! The server, Baris, was attentive, friendly and did a great job taking care of us. “Definitely worth the wait. Took me a while to time a bike ride over to Bethesda as they are only open through (late) lunchtime hours but I am grateful I was able to make it.

I sampled the combo fajitas with steak and chicken, accompanied by peppers and onions, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and rice and beans. Everything was excellent, really good meat quality and well seasoned and grilled. Rice and beans were superb, authentic Mexican flavor.

I also squeezed in an Al Pastor taco and a Chorizo taco and both were very tasty. The Al Pastor was a lighter flavor, but really solid and nice they include the grilled pineapple as hoped. The chorizo is a chunkier variety, vs ground fine, and rich with flavor as well.

Staff is very polite and friendly, and will make modifications where they can.

Food was delicious: fresh, hot, tasty unique flavors. Fresh ice water available for paying customers which was nice. The staff was friendly and smiling, helpful, polite when our child was looking for the restroom and the tables were cleaned up fast which was nice as the tables were turned over quickly. My bagel honestly wasn't great which was surprising coming from a place that sells a lot of bagels. While I would probably go back and/or try some of the other sandwiches, I'm not sure what would bring me here over some of the other bagel places around Bethesda.

“The first time I went to Levain Bakery ... I was in the Georgetown location, and I was concerned that this spot wouldn't be as good because you know, how could it be?

But let me tell you the Levain Bakery skills transfer ... These people can bake... I have never had a cookie like this... they are sooo delicious 🍪👩🏾‍🍳... I wish we had one of these in my town. The cookie is almost as big as a biscuit and the chocolate chip to cookie ratio is unbelievable.... It's quite amazing. I will never be afraid to walk into this store, no matter the location... Go there and eat all the delicious baked goods, you might need to hit the gym or fast the next day, but wow it's worth it no matter what!!!“
