“This place is great. Fresh traditional Latin food and amazing customer service. Junior went way above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Very personable and friendly. The food here is delicious and extremely enjoyable however, Junior’s customer service skills earned them a new loyal frequent customer. This will be my go to spot from now on. Bravo.“
“One of my favorite places to pick up food from a truck. Pupusas, Carne Asada, Steak Taco's and steak or chicken Burritos are soooo good. If you only speak English, trust me just go because they understand. This place makes good quality food. ?“
“Tried Maria's yesterday after reading about it on the Support MOCO restaurant FB page. They didn't steer me wrong. Lovely little cafe with delicious food. I had the chicken fajitas- they were fresh and delicious with rice, beans, tortillas, and their homemade guacamole. I was in heaven. Will definitely be coming back. A lot.“
“We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Beautiful decoration, which transports us to our countries of origin. Delicious food and first-class service. Denise was very attentive and made very good suggestions.I definitely recommend Restaurante Acajutla and we hope to come again.“
“I found this place on accident through DoorDash and did a pick up while I was getting gas. And let me tell you… everything was DELICIOUS! The ladies in the truck were so nice. Food was served hot. The birria tacos were perfect. The tacos dorados were so good. If you are hungry don’t be afraid to double up and order a few things. Portions aren’t big but they are perfect to leave room to fry a few things. Prices are a little high for food truck food but everything was really good. I’ll be back.“
“A nice surprise really. My appetizers were the civiche with fried calamari and a cheese pupusa. Both were delicious. The calamari dish had tilapia in it which was also great. For my drinks (which were the real stars) I had a blackberry vodka mule and a Cranberry orange margarita. Both were well made.“
“Very good Honduran food. Pleasant bilingual service. Above average presentation, especial considering the very casual decor. Three 4-tops (that seat three persons) and three 2-tops. 4 picnic tables outside. Order at the counter. This (Olney) is one of several locations. I had basic fare: a cheese Pupusa and Honduran deep fried tacos. They did not disappoint. I saw another fancier dish that some other customer had ordered which looked delicious. Prices are reasonable in this post-Covid, high interest time.“
“This place is a hidden gem. Inexpensive, authentic, and delicious Latin American food. The pupusas and tacos are great. There are other things on the menu but I’ve never tried them, because once you’ve tried the pupusas and tacos it’s hard to order anything else.“
“Best pupusas ive had here in Md. Great quality. Pupusas came out hot! And fresh. Let me say ive been to various pupuserias like in wheaton, langley park but this one in my opinion topped them off. That said i can only say that for the pupusas. The burrito were ok since they went heavy on the rice.“
“Amazing pupusas!!Thanks Goodness the other reviewer told us you enter through the liquor store so we were prepared for that. It felt like taking my family on an adventure to a kind of speakeasy for Central American food! The place was full of people used to eating Salvadoran and Honduran food. Felt very authentic.Lacking great atmosphere, but made up for it with amazing, hot, crispy, cheesy papusas. We also ordered chicken from the hot table with beans and rice, extra beans, chorizo eggs and tortillas. Mild, delicious flavors there but the chicken was falling off the bone.Horchata was very good and large and $4. Lots of food and good to share.Vegetarian options: Cheese papusas and cheese and bean are great for vegetarians and gluten free. Great black beans and rice! Also try the fried plantains.Dietary restrictions: Cheese papusas and cheese and bean are great for vegetarians and gluten free. Great black beans and rice!Parking: Park at and enter through the liquor store LOLKid-friendliness: Kids will love the cheese papusas but they are super hot coming out of the kitchen fresh.“
“My steak & cheese sub was freshly made and quite good. The service was fast enough for a carry-out but I chose to eat in, sitting at one of the three available tables. It's a family-owned restaurant with both Chinese and Latino fare, its prices are reasonable and the parking is free! I will be back!“
“We came in around 11 am on a Saturday, and the lunch rush came pouring in right after us. Clearly a popular spot with other Latino people too, so you know it's authentic. We ordered 4 bean and cheese pupusas and 2 chicken tacos and it all came in under $20. These are hands down the best pupusas in the area! The filling to masa ratio was perfect- I was stuffed after eating just one. The chicken in the tacos was really tasty and the portion sizes are big. They had a great menu with a mix of Salvadoran classics and American breakfast foods, so I'll be sure to order more next time. Definitely stop in while out antique shopping in this area!“
“This was my first time getting to know the place and let me tell you that it was a good experience, the food portions are super huge, you are super full and satisfied with the portions, the flavor is wonderful and the people are very friendly, the prices are a little high.“
“It's a small restaurant so the space is tight, but there are some outdoor seating options. The staff are super friendly, but service was a bit slow.Don't let that discourage you from visiting because the food is delicious. The lomo saltado had a deep flavored, almost adobo type sauce that's different from what I've had in Peru which was more centered on the beef flavor. Guacamole is freshly made and worth the add on.“
