“If my husband could eat here every day he would as a native jamaican born in the county im just glad that he has something he could eat today he was suppose to go for the liver came home with smoke jerk pork escovich fish and the liver ate that and then said we going back for dinner lol he said today they were having a fish fry so might go back for more fish and liver. Im so happy he found a place that he loves takes the pressure of me lol. He just told me this the jamican food witch means alot comming from him cause over the years I have seen him buy food and throw it away as soon as he ate it. So thank you“

“We were really excited to eat here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it was one of the best dinner experiences we’ve had in DC. Not exaggerating, it’s the best sauce work on dishes we have ever tasted. The sauces for the piri salad, branzino, and shrimp were the highlights while the oysters were the standout. Our server (Cesar) was phenomenal and gave us great recommendations. We are excited to come back here with our friends in the near future!“

“This place was recommended and I am so glad we tried it. Healthy food. So many options. I ordered the Jerk Mango Salad. I didn’t change a thing and wouldn’t. Perfect kick without being too spicy. Mango salsa was the best I’ve had. We also ordered the BBQ bowl. I wouldn’t change a thing in it. Try the Red Rice. It’s really good. Staff was quick, explained the menu and ordering process and also offered a taste of you weren’t sure you’d like something. 10/10. I’ll be back again.“

“I was in the mood for Caribbean food last night. I was nervous because I live in Silver Spring and it's been a while since I've found a good spot. I found D&G Caribbean Grill on Uber Eats and read the reviews. I ordered the brown stew chicken, curry chicken with cabbage, rice & peas and coco bread. Everything was delicious! Since I don't drive I will definitely be ordering again.“

The atmosphere was already great, but what truly elevated the entire experience was our bartender, Camryn. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. Her energy and service alone are reasons to come back. “The food is really good the Mac and cheese was my favorite probably because it was unexpected from a restaurant but it really is homemade (like Thanksgiving homemade)!

My only complaint is that the rice was a little hard and the customer service with the checkout personnel was inattentive I’m big on customer service interactions when I’m spending my money somewhere. (Could be I came 20 mins after opening) They were although kind in greeting and departure

Other than that the oxtails were very tender (fall off the boat melt in your mouth type) and meaty avoiding much fat that’s usually with this meal from other places , and I believe the portion were okay for the price. The gravy was well seasoned.

I had the agave vanilla soda with a splash of root bear, IT WAS SO GOOD! Never had it before.

Overall the atmosphere is good , has lots of seating in an open area with a TV, I watched a basketball game as I ate. Music was ofcourse Caribbean music which I enjoyed also.Food was also really hot and ready to serve no wait! Meal Price ~ 27$

When I mentioned it was my first time, they kindly offered me a sample of curry chicken, brown stew, and oxtail over rice. Each one was full of flavor — so good that I had a hard time choosing!

I ended up ordering the brown stew chicken with rice, cabbage, and a side of plantains. Everything was cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The plantains were fresh off the stove — perfectly sweet and soft.

“I will say my first visit was decent with Kia and her service skills are absolutely fun while being helpful. I did not get the round ball that I ordered but I came out with a lot of food and drinks. However the LARGE Oxtails was very lacking on amount vs the price point and plantain is a separate purchase instead of a few pieces on the meal. The Akee and Saltfish had 2 or 3 dumpling underneath so very little ackee and Saltfish for that price. The Jerk Mac and cheese was on the almost stale side. I wasn't fond of their brand of Sorrel as it had a weird after taste. Didn't like either the fruit nor the other rum cake but those are not their fault as they are prepackaged options. The gentleman there was helpful in packing my huge order but sadly I won't be returning. Money spent there vs value was very lacking.
