Copper Kitchen and specifically, Tawney, our event designer still managed to exceed all expectations; despite the fact that we had multiple personal recommendations from friends and had had Copper Kitchen's food at weddings we attended as guests. Our guests raved about everything - the oysters, the service (there was never a line at the bar, dinner came out so quickly to all 130 people), the steak, the asparagus, the signature cocktails, the vegan entree - the list goes on. Everyone on the CK team was incredible - friendly, attentive, professional and FUN. Based on the vibes from the CK team, I have to assume that it's an amazing place to work and they treat their employees just as amazingly as they treat clients and their guests. Now on to Tawney... there are not enough positive words in the English language to describe this woman! She is positive, up beat, responsive, accommodating and down right fun to plan a wedding with. She knows when to step in and provide guidance and expertise and was always 100% focused on making sure my fiancé and I were getting exactly what we wanted to make our day feel special. The process was completely stress-free and Tawney worked flawlessly with all of the other vendors. I want to plan another party just so that I can still chat with Tawney on a regular basis! The food, the people, the service, and the entire process to get to the big day exceed all expectations in every way. You need CK at your wedding!“

Absolutely do NOT park in the nearby parking lot next to the dollar general store no matter how tempting that may be when your hungry & looking forward to a bite to eat.
The spinach pie was delicious even though we arrived late in the afternoon looking for a quick lunch. The hospitality of Sylva & the staff was efficient, warm and engaging.
Fortunately the fact we were visiting from out of town & had unknowingly parked in the predatory towing lot came up in conversation. Three older women in central Baltimore without their vehicle could have been disastrous. But Sylva and her husband quickly acted, assisting in locating my car, giving me a ride to the tow yard before it closed for the day & entertaining my mother & sister while I was gone.
These folks not only provide delicious food & a variety of beverages. In our conversations I learned they are active in their community working for positive good.
I hope the upcoming expansion to Little Italy this winter goes well & many more satisfied patrons enjoy their food & hospitality whether eating in, picking up pastries to go or using their catering services.

“Found them on the corner at the Fell's Point Farmer's Market. I was pleasantly surprised. Little bit pricey, and that might put some people off. But if you dare to try it, you will not regret it. Plus, I wanted to try both proteins so that was an upcharge, too. The bed of coconut basmati rice and beans (peas in the Caribbean?) is an excellent foundation for what you want to build on top. Vegetarians celebrate! But Carnivores will he equally as happy. I tried the jerk sweet potatoes, curry cauliflower, jerk chicken, AND jerk shrimp. It was delicious! Oh, and Sunny (?) was an asset the. Her name matches her personality. She highly recommended the pickled red cabbage on top, and I am SO glad she did! I don't think the bowl would have been complete without it! The shrimp isn't jumbo shrimp, but the size you want so that it's already bite-size. It was perfectly cooked. The chicken was also bite-size and so tender and moist. I love cauliflower, and this did not disappoint. The sweet potato was a touch softer than I would normally choose, but it was nicely caramelized, and added to a truly deliciously composed dish. Oh, let's not forget about the Plant Based Lemon Raspberry Muffins. Let me just say it was delicious. Loved the light glaze on top. Again, a bit pricey for the size of it. And \\\"plant based?\\\" Using flour (AP they said) is a plant, but then aren't muffins generally plant based? Do they not use eggs? I neglected to ask, but it was tasty. Just too expensive for the barely-larger-than-mini-muffin-size muffins. Last thing I wanted to mention is the to-go containers. I would have rather they used more environmentally-friendly containers maybe of cardboard. But this plastic container was relatively leak proof (though there's really not much liquid to worry about leaking), and I'll be sure to re-use it. I met the chef and another salesperson. “My family and I have enjoyed Devens Deli for a few decades now. Deven, Hetal and the rest of the staff are absolutely amazing people who make amazing food. When my family comes to town and I tell them I know where to get the best shrimp salad sandwich, they go back to Virginia knowing the place to go is Devens Deli. “We attended a wedding here. The venue it's self is lovely. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the food was not very good. They served shrimp and crab balls during cocktail time which were terrible. The crab balls were too soft and mushy. The shrimp had an over powering taste of onion and garlic. There were several older people attending the wedding and there were only a hand full of chairs and 2 tables in the room where cocktails were served. At the sit down dinner we were served fish and chicken. The chicken was very dry. The fish was ok.“
