“This has been our go to spot for over 10 years now in Hamden! Great for comfort, food or brunch and always a fun atmosphere. The service has gotten so much better over the years and everyone there is incredibly sweet and friendly. I love that they keep good staples on the menu, but are always trying to reinvent New dishes to complement the old standbys. And even though prices have raised at most other places, this place still remains incredibly affordable.“

“Wonderful experience. We loved our waiter, Gabe. My husband and I made reservations for our anniversary. He told us congratulations and offered us each a complimentary glass of champagne right off the bat. We soon had warm bread brought to our table and then we ordered cocktails and two appetizers. All delicious. Baked brie was phenomenal. My husband had the filet mignon & I ordered a ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. After we were nearly stuffed, Gabe offered us a complimentary dessert to share. Overall an amazing experience. Cozy atmosphere. Excellent service and the food came out quickly. “I've been here several times with friends, and every experience has been great! Not only is the customer service fantastic (very attentive, willing to check in on you, knowledgeable staff, etc), they have a nice variety of liquor and wines that are easy to find in the shop based on region. Additionally, they sell limes and lemons at the register which if you've ever had a few friends over for drinks, you tend to prioritize the alcohol and forget the limes/lemons. It's always a duh moment for me but because they have them right at the register, it's easy to remember. What I think I like most about The Wine Source is how honest staff are about their thoughts on different wines. If they don't like it, they'll tell you and have enough knowledge to even recommend something based on your tastes. Lot parking can be a little scarce sometimes but that's really out of their control and usually street parking is easy to find in the area. In short, would highly recommend! My friend (who's the wine guy for sure) loves it here and says it's one of the best wine spots in Baltimore to him. P.S. They also sell some food in the shop which I haven't tried yet but I'm sure it's good!“

I’ve been to this cafe a couple of times and had great food and drinks both times. Most recently I went for Saturday brunch with a friend. I should have expected it, but the line was very long. That said, the girl at the counter was working her tail off not only talking orders but also making all of the beverages for each order (including seasonal lattes). Everyone in the kitchen seemed to be working non stop, so I give them kudos for such a delicious meal.

I got The Ian (toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs) and my friend got the OG breakfast bowl. Both were delicious and we cleaned our plates. We also both got oat milk PSL’s which were flavorful and yummy.

We sat upstairs, which was a bright and had plenty of extra seating despite the downstairs being pretty packed. We sat and talked for a while, and someone came around to ask how the meal was and take our dishes, which was nice. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful.

I didn’t order any baked goods, but I did notice they have a variety of Greek sweets as well as even some vegan baked goods. They all looked incredible, and I’ll be trying something next time.“

“The Crazy Mason is one of my favorite places to go for a quick treat. Their ice cream is fantastic, and I love that they use Blue Bell, which is hard to find in this area. My go-to favorites are the Short and Sweet, You’ve Gotta Be Pudding Me, and Top of the Morning. They also have amazing seasonal options—I really enjoyed the piña colada over the summer!

The quality is always top-notch, and the staff is so friendly and kind, which is refreshing to see. Even when they’re busy, they’re quick, accurate, and mindful of allergies. I’ve never had a negative experience here, and it’s always a fun treat we look forward to.

“Cakes Plus was awesome. I purchased two cakes within 3 months. One being a wedding and the other was a Sweet 16. From sitting down with flavor options to the patience of our design selection, these ladies were professional and knowledgeable. During the pickup, the representative was patient with explaining how to debox the wedding cake. I was surprised and grateful to hear of the free anniversary tier. We returned two days later for the Sweet 16 cake. They accommodated us by adding some details on the spot. Thanks for making our weekend festivities a success. I will add pics later.“

“Hands down the best bagels I have had in Maryland (and I have tried many spots). Fun to watch the old school bagel baking process while waiting in line. Highly recommend for bagel snobs and foodies.
