The steak was very good—slightly on the fatty side, but this isn’t a dedicated steakhouse, so that’s completely understandable. The portion size was enormous, and all the sides were excellent. The onion rings were crispy and flavorful, the fries were great, and even the asparagus was cooked perfectly.

The crab cream soup was outstanding—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. But the real star of the evening was the crab cake. It completely won me over. The large chunks of crab meat were incredible, and the preparation was absolutely perfect.

The Caesar salad was also excellent and huge—easily large enough to share. The beer selection was great as well. I especially enjoyed the SGP House Hazy and Sierra Nevada.

The service was fantastic. Our server was friendly, attentive, professional, and made the entire evening even more enjoyable.

“Went for the first time today. My server, Nicole, was so nice and accommodating. The music was turned down as I was the only customer at the time (I like to read while eating). Started with cream of crab soup, gently seasoned with a good amount of crab meat (had just a few shells but that comes with real crab). Tried the Brussel sprouts, half with balsamic glaze and feta cheese, the other half with sweet Thai chili sauce (both good with the balsamic just a tad better). Chicken Cheesesteak sub had a generous amount of real cubed chick on a nice sub roll. Plenty of food was brought home for later. I'll be sure to go again!“

“Hidden gem, the food is surprisingly good for a bar spot. I always go to the other food spots to eat inside the casino but the salad, salmon miso bowl is delicious. My friend recommended this place. Everyone working there is super friendly especially the white men I didnt get both of their names he works at the bar too. Even the girls there too. They're very patient when dealing with the busy crowd. The sodas are free/refillable while you wait for your take out food.“

“The food was delicious and great prices. I enjoyed the unique selection of wing flavors. The mumbo sauce wings were so nostalgic and comforting. I absolutely loved the hot mustard wings, too.

The service sadly was awful. The bartender was alone having to serve the bar, restaurant, and outside. She did not have the right demeanor to handle that. She was very short with the patrons and picked and chose who she paid attention to. We were prepared to order more food but after hoping desperately for attention for over 20 minutes we gave up.

The atmosphere could be super cool. Unfortunately during our visit several couples came in and let their young children run around the bar and patio area while they blissfully drank and chatted. One child was sat at a table alone with a tablet.

I definitely encourage everyone to go enjoy the food and great values. Just be prepared for not so great service.“

The bartender that came in after her didn't even ask if we wanted anything else and I set for 30 minutes waiting for my BFF to finish her drinks. “Went in for an order to go. Ordered the Fiesta lime chicken meal, mozzarella sticks for the appetizer and a Chicken Alfredo meal. I also ordered the tortillas with the spinach dip appetizer. Waited 25 minutes for food to find the order was missing the 2nd appetizer b/c the cashier said he needed to get his manager. So now I had to wait for the manager to get the cashier ...who he claimed was now in the kitchen packing orders. That was about 4 to 5 minutes then waited another 10 to 15 minutes for the 🙄 😑 😒 😳 2nd appetizer. And the Food was absolutely not fit for a paying long time parton. The Rice was under or over cooked. It was hard n the color was off. The tortillas was hard n had no flavor and the Broccoli from the Alfredo lite my home up with a smell I'll 😫 😕 never forget.
This was purchased 5/7. Today is 5/9. I won't be going back any time soon. And there was a stench like dirty carpet or mold. I'm really messed up behind $45.00 I could have went elsewhere 🙃“

“The owner was warm and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the quality of the meal didn’t match the hospitality. Once I got home and opened my order, disappointment quickly set in.

The meat portions were extremely small, practically pebble-sized, and many pieces were bony and lacked substance. The cow skin was so tough it was inedible. I had no choice but to throw it away. Only the tripe and one piece of cow skin were passable.

I initially hesitated to write this review. But after reading another customer’s complaint about the same issue posted nine months ago, it became clear that feedback isn’t being taken seriously. That’s troubling. If a concern has been raised and ignored for that long, it suggests the business isn’t listening to its customers.

Beyond the portion size, the stew was overwhelmingly spicy. While spice is integral to Nigerian cuisine, it’s common sense to ask customers about their spice tolerance or offer a milder option. Assuming all Africans or Nigerians can handle extreme heat is not only inaccurate, but also inconsiderate.

Dining at Nigerian restaurants in Maryland often feels like a gamble. Between the undersized meat, the tough cow skin, and the unchecked spice level, I wasted both time and money.

To make matters worse, the music inside the restaurant was excessively loud. And the Afrobeat videos playing on the screens featured semi-nude women, content that’s inappropriate for a public space frequented by families and children. This should be common knowledge. You wouldn’t walk into an American or Chinese restaurant and see music videos with nearly naked performers. They understand that a restaurant is a place for dining, not a nightclub. I still don't understand the need for those Afrobeat music videos with seminude women in a restaurant. It does not make sense. It has to be a Maryland thing. Whoever started that trend should be fined!

Nigerian restaurants have so much potential, but the standard often feels rough. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, though based on the pattern of dismissing past concerns, I’m not optimistic.“
