“NFA is a great place for training and the command post is a place to unwind and meet other people from different departments and states. Anyone who attends class understands why they close early , so they can get everyone in bed at a decent time for classes the next day“
“We come to Gettysburg twice a year and always try to stay somewhere new every time. We are so pleased with our stay at Cashtown inn that we will start staying there at least once for our annual visits. I can't say enough about how accommodating the owners and staff were and very knowledgeable of the history of the area and ready to share with you all they know. Of course there is a bit of haunted stories of the building and area, so no matter whether you're coming for the haunts or coming to relax, this is the best place to stay. By far.“

“Always good food. We've been there for dinner several times at various times of the year. It can get busy and overloaded after 6, so come about 4:30 to avoid crowds or long waits. My favorite is the Ulster Fry...cooked to perfection and a perfect sized portion“

“The place was very busy, but we were seated very quickly. The wait staff was attentive, keeping drinks refilled and taking dirty dishes away quickly. The food took some time to get due to the busyness of the restraunt but the food was VERY good. Good Irish food selection. I had Bangers and Mashed, and it was very good. Definitely will eat here again when I get back to Gettysburg.“

“The menu is on the short side, but is executed magnificently: the burgers and wings, in particular, are worth the visit. The service is hit or miss: wait staff often also tend bar, which can lead to delays--they would do well to institute some other system. Even so, the food is well worth the visit, and we have been repeat patrons.“
“Fun, little place to find. Went Friday night and the bartender was fantastic!! I think her name was Cindy. Really great with making drinks, friendliness and attentiveness to her customers.Went back Saturday night, a completely different experience. Funny how your service determines that. Can't tell you the bartenders names cuz they were too busy on their phones or talking to each other. I'm gonna go ahead and make an assumption that they're dating, guessing by their behavior towards each other. Not friendly at all. No greeting, no conversations with any customers, no smiles, not even a thank you. They made you feel like you were a bother and interrupting their night. We'll go back again when Cindy is working.“
“What a fun, cool place to visit! My friend and I stopped in yesterday to try some spirits. Being from the north, moonshine is new to me, so I was anxious to try it. The woman working there happily answered questions while providing us samples (you get 5 for free). My friend is a bourbon drinker and stuck with that, but I was having fun trying some of their flavored spirits. They had lots of yummy offerings. I ended up buying a bottle to take back to Virginia with me. If you're looking for a break while shopping at the outlet mall, definitely stop in.“

“One evening in Gettysburg we stopped in the Ploughman, and were pleasantly surprised. A mix of ciders some of them very good, graced our first flight. We were lucky enough to have live music the night we were there, and enjoyed it enough to have a second flight to extend our stay. In this one we hit a couple of surprising winners, both a pleasant CrabApple cider and a sour Peach (not that we had any idea that peach would be likely to be this sour). They looked to have a fair selection of food, but we had already had dinner, so were mostly there for the drinks. Next time we are in town, we'll give the food a shot too.“
“Service is impeccable. You feel like you've stepped back in time with your ancestors and are dining with them. The period costumes help take you back in time. Food was excellent! All is delicious but I must point out a star in the menu. The hearty onion soup (actually thick like a stew is the best I've ever had! It's been several months since I've been there and it's still remarkable in my mind. I find myself comparing every French onion soups to this one and they cannot measure up to this one!“

“Where else in Fairfield can you get this caliber of Za and good hang out atmosphere? I'll tell you. Nowhere close. Our family loves this place and the service is always great. I only wish they might deliver in the future.Parking: Parking is behind the building.“
“This place was so cool inside. I went to Gettysburg for my 21st and wasnt able to go because someone else in my group wasnt 21. So, i went back for St. Patricks Day. The drinks were good and cheap, between the 2 of us we had around 8 drinks & the tab was $25 or $30. Which is relatively good for 2 people, in my opinion. They dont serve food which is a bummer, i also didnt play pool but alot of people were. It is a tight space, so it gets crowded and loud fairly quickly.“

“The waitress that served us food was patient, and accommodative as we frantically tried to figure out how to split the bill 6 ways and 4 at the same time (2 people couldn’t pay). The food was great, and worth the wait, and there were hardly any people, leaving a nice environment.“

“Great food.... Customer service was great... Shift change kind of changed that because our new server was not nearly as nice as the server we had when we first went in during the 2-3pm hour... Decided to go back for dinner, the open faced roast beef dinner is excellent and they have the best French onion soup in the area... Knocked off a star because the person we had for the second half of lunch wasn't very nice and it seemed like we were bothering her when asking for another drink... Only other complaint for the 4 stars is that the crab soup was like cheap vegetable soup with a bit of hot sauce and really old crab added... I mean the crab was grey... See pics....“

“Went mid-November and we’re glad we did. When we arrived the place was empty- as we were leaving another party entered. We definitely had excellent service & enjoyed our food. The crab dip was our favorite. We can’t wait to go back during ski season!“

“We came here for breakfast and it was fantastic! We ate at the bar, with the "regulars" and they made us feel right at home. We had the crab cake benedict, the breakfast pizza and the ham and egg sandwich. The portions were large and everything was really tasty. The menu and décor screams diner, but the food is way better than that. It is a family business- food cooked by the two matriarchs of the family. I would highly recommend this place.“
