“Last night the girls and I went out for dinner and let me tell you!! From the moment we walked in the establishment was nice and clean. The gentleman taking the our order was very respectful and polite. I ordered my food first and by the time I sat my stuff down to go get my drink. By the time I was done making my drink my food had already been placed on my table! The food came out super quick! We had ordered dessert as well the lady didn't rush to bring it out. She checked with us and offered to bring it out after we were close to being done with our food! (Those Nutella knots!!!!) The owner just happened to stop on a night off by but he noticed a birthday party. He was very sweet and came to thank the girl for celebrating her birthday at this establishment and sang her happy birthday! I'm sure he is a very busy man but he took the time to show he cared and was thankful which was amazing! When we stepped outside we were attempting to take our group photo and the owner noticed us and ran right up to us and offered to take the picture. We then had a great 20 minute conversation letting him know how much we enjoyed our food and engaged in friendly conversations! He was very sweet and very friendly to talk to! I have never met an owner so willing to just stop and engage in conversation with multiple of his patrons! We will be back very soon! You should visit as well you will not be disappointed!“

“I just have to share the fantastic experience we had tonight. My husband and I went to The Local around 6:30 pm (prime time without reservations lol). The only available seats were a high top table in the bar area. They asked us if that was ok and we said “sure”. Within a minute or so after being seated, it became apparent that our vision of a nice relaxing dinner would be impossible in that room. The Preakness was about to begin, and that bar was loud and hopping! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love to see people enjoying themselves. It was a party, but just wasn’t our vibe tonight. We decided we would go elsewhere. We politely informed the hostess that we were going to leave because it was just a tad too noisy, but that we would definitely return again soon. We stressed that we were not mad, or upset. As we were walking to our car, a very nice gentleman followed us out and asked if we would consider returning if they could sit us elsewhere. We said “Of course!” We didn’t think there were any other available tables, but he said they would work something out for us. We told him we didn’t expect them to go out of their way for us and that we could wait. Within five minutes, we were seated at a lovely table in the dining room. We later learned the gentleman that helped us was none other than the owner/ executive chef Zack. We went on to have a delicious dinner with the most attentive and charming server. They demonstrated exemplary customer service, which sadly is lacking in many other establishments. We weren’t expecting any special treatment, but they certainly went above and beyond for us, and it was very much appreciated! When we were leaving, Zack happened to be outside, so he made sure to ask how our experience was. We told him it was amazing, and that his restaurant has been one of our favorites since it opened. We told him we would be back soon. Our experience there tonight is just one of many examples why this restaurant stands out, and why we will always highly recommend them! “The Power Lunch Specials menu is a bargain at $17.77. The Meatballs & Polenta are excellent. This is 3/4 of the normal lunch menu portion, but is very tasty & extremely filling. The fried calamari is heavy in batter & needs all the lemon juice you can squeeze onto it. The dipping sauces have a lot of hot peppers in them, & are both really spicy. Penne Caprese is fresh & tasty. lovely lunch. Unfortunately, portion sizes vary from day to day. Ask for a full portion. Fettucine Genovese is extremely flavorful. The rich flavor of the cheese enhances the braised beef--a good dish. The coffee had a nice flavor but was watery. It would be much better if they used more coffee.“

“My first dining visit since it’s opening a year ago. The Classic Margarita had a pretty presentation and was oh so good! I really liked the warm tasty chips with salsa and shortly afterwards came the sizzling steak fajita. Flavorful and delicious. I finished the meal with dessert of tasty Churros served prettily with ice cream topped with whipped cream and a cherry on top. My server Alonso was attentive, professional, and polite. Everything was done right. Nicely recommended!“

They went above and beyond to help out, never once stressing out or making the inconvenience seem like an inconvenience. “An unexpected hospital stay changed our plans for Valentine’s Day, but a week later we were able to do carry out. I had the Linguine Primavera with EVOO and my husband had the Chicken Marsala with fettuccine. The meals were fresh, flavorful and seasoned perfectly. Warm soft crusty rolls added to our enjoyment. Portions were so large, it provided a second night’s dinner! This wasn’t our first meal from Acapella and they have always been on point. Will certainly be back!“

“I love the vibe here. This restaurant is set to be like a ski lodge. Some tables have ski lift seats! It is a large venue that is broken into sections, making it feel small and intimate. The food is amazing and the main reason to try this place. My favorites include the burgers, mozzarella balls, and the crab? Corn chowder. When you do, I know that you will return. The servers are great as well.“

But when I’m waiting for three minutes while it’s not busy for one cashier to finish a phone call it’s not exactly a good idea to take a customer that just walked in before me, being second cashier. It’s just me and one other customer..and I was here first. I’m sure it is one of his first jobs, I’ve worked in food, it’s not easy. This is common sense though. But you can’t do that and expect me to return to that location. I guess the original Perry Hall location will be my only stop moving forward, never had an issue there. “Tonight was my second time ever being here. It was another great experience. The first time I was here was two days ago for a meeting/dinner. Tonight I took my mother out for her birthday and it was her first time there. Even though it was a tad noisy in there, my experience was great. My food was incredible and we didn’t wait too long. My biggest thing is service. I can’t remember my servers name, but she was amazing. She checked on us almost every time she walked by. I had a few beers and every time, she would have one at the table as soon I finished the last. I tried to give her enough of a tip to show my appreciation but I didn’t have enough cash for what she deserved. I wish I remembered her name because I would go back there again, solely for her service.“
