“The Dara is easily my favorite sit-down Thai restaurant in Baltimore. Beyond the food, the team behind this place is made up of genuinely wonderful people, and that warmth carries through every visit. The service is always amazing, the space is beautiful, and the menu gives you plenty of reasons to keep coming back.

One of my absolute favorites is the Gaeng Ga-Ti Pu, a Maryland jumbo lump crab curry with crispy soft-shell crab, soft-boiled egg and butterfly pea flower rice. It is ridiculously good. And then there’s the Thai Iced-Tini, their Thai iced tea martini, which is honestly mind-blowing and one of those drinks you have to experience for yourself.

Great Thai food, fantastic cocktails, wonderful service and even better people behind it all. The Dara has become one of those Baltimore restaurants I genuinely love supporting and recommending.“

“Amazing service and food! Stopped by here before going to the BTS concert and had the best customer service, the yummiest food and best Thai iced tea I’ve ever had!

I wasn’t feeling well and it was super hot outside and the owner was kind enough to let us stay inside for a bit during hour they were closed to get some AC. He didnt need to do that was went out of his way and even served us water.

Definitely recommend and will eat there again anytime I’m in the Baltimore area!“

“Great service and great atmosphere took my wife on a nice lunch and we had the (Parmesan truffle fries) as our appetizer ,I had the (Pad Thai fried rice with crispy chicken) protein extra spicy my wife had the (Fried Fish with fish sauce)extra spicy we shared a mango ice cream wasn’t our favorite but still fresh and smooth and we also both had the peach tea which was refreshing“

“Asian Burmese Kitchen was fantastic. I grew up on burmese food and have only learned to prepare oh mo khao swe. Have been craving mohinga (mote hing karr at the restaurant) and atho (nje thoke at the restaurant). Its been 6 years since I last went home and ate these two dishes. I ordered Mote Hing Karr (my choice) and the chicken burmese noodle dish (the waiter’s choice). The chicken noodle dish arrived first and immediately the smell took me back to Trichy’s street stalls. The noodles were served with fresh limes, a sour:tangy cabbage slaw and delicately flavored thin chicken stock. The sharpness of the acidic sides cut through the very savory noodles and balanced the palate.

But the true star of the show for me was the Mote hing karr!! A perfect representation of what homemade bowl of hearty and delicious soup should be! I especially loved that they served it with the crackers (made with peas) and bejo (egg)! For people who need heat! they also give you 3 complementary chilli accompaniments to alter the spiciness as desired.

The portions were huge!!! So we took some home and I am already dreaming about eating another soup stock soaked bite of the banana stem in the very authentic Mote Hing Karr!

Prices are very reasonable, the restaurant and kitchen were clean, bright and well-maintained. Plenty of parking in front and back of the restaurant. I stopped next door and picked up more crackers and tamarind concentrate for home.“

“Interesting enough this was the first restaurant that I tried when visiting Lexington Market. There was a lot of choices within the market, but what stood out about Dragon Bowl to me was the long line which told me that the demand was there versus other food spots. I wasn’t disappointed at all and since my initial visit, I’ve came back at least 3 additional times and even brought my niece to join which she fell in love with the restaurant as well. The food was fresh and the service was quick just how I like it. They give a nice size portion of food and I think it was extremely affordable. When standing in the line some customers told me that I made an excellent choice because they visit daily on their lunch break.

I’ve seen other reviewers discussed this and I felt the same way but, it wasn’t enough for me to not give it 5 stars. However the inconsistency wasn’t fun, because my first visit I received yum yum sauce but then in future visits they don’t have it. Extremely disappointed but the food is still great without it. I’ll be back.“

“Pretty good food but portions are absurdly small for the price. Got general Tso’s, Thai basil chicken and Philly cheesesteak rolls. The main courses are portioned in standard rectangular delivery containers, but half of the rectangle is filled with rice! The rice doesn’t come in it’s own paper container! The General Tso’s contained a mere 7 small pieces of chicken. Further, the Thai basil chicken was filled with onion (for the half not occupied by rice) and contained even less chicken than the General Tso’s, maybe five sad, small slices at the most. The sweet and sour soup I received as a side was in a sauce-sized carry out container. Not the large tall buckets or even the ~4 inch tall round plastic containers you would expect for a soup, but the ~1.5 inch tall ones you’d get from a decently conscientious place to hold the sweet and sour sauce to prevent it from sogging up the chicken during delivery, for example. The cheesesteak rolls too were miniature in size, much smaller than expected considering they are sold singly for three dollars and forty cents.“

““Simply the best“ is the quote I think of when I think of Chopsticks! I discovered this restaurant 10+ years ago when we lived in Elkridge. If anything, the food has gotten better. Every entree that we ordered was top-notch. Chopsticks catered an event at my church. The food was great, and is great now. Eating out is way too expensive nowadays to waste your money on food that is subpar. Choice Chopstix!!!!!“
