“Everyone is nice every time I go there. I had salmon, greens and mashed potatoes that was great. I added a sample of peach cobbler which wasn’t worth the price ($7 plus dollars) and it wasn’t good. I threw it in the trash. Never will I get that again!“

“Sadly I went to try out this establishment today and was welcome with flies flying around all the food. Not a good experience when you first walk into the door. Unfortunately because of all the flies that was flying and landing on the food that you service people turned me completely off. Maybe I will try this place again and hopefully next time they won't have flies flying around all the food“

“I ordered collard greens and a turkey wing sandwich.it was delicious. The seasoning was great. The collard greens yum. Turkey wing. Seasoning perfect. Seasoned but not spicy. Yum I like it that way.
The service was very good. The staff was very nice.
There was an unhappy customer. Wanted a refund but had eaten some of the food. How can you ask for a full refund? Very loud. When customers left, they offered us a slice of cake/pie to apologize for the incident. Wow! Speaks volumes for the quality of the restaurant.

“I can honestly say and recommend Suburban for their tasteful turkey wings. I kid you not. I will literally travel just to place an order.!!! I called the other day and the turkey wings were sold out but because I anticipated , I was advised to call back in an hour. It was worth it. In my opinion it supersedes Carolina Kitchen. Their sides are seasoned to perfection (reason being ?) as a place in the food industry ( it is necessary to factor allergies , food restrictions,, vegan options and protein preference ). This location is definitely one of my top choices for soul food when you have an urge for southern hospitality. I hope anyone who orders has a good experience & if not let’s be mindful no one is perfect. Just input your suggestions if things do not meet your standards. Yes we can provide an opinion but let’s do it accordingly where it serves a positive impact & not a tear down. There is plenty of room to improve & elevate on a daily basis. If the quality doesn’t meet your expectations , then my only suggestion would be to cook your own meal from scratch but I highly recommend this restaurant . Keith Lee should have definitely stopped in town ( don’t know him ? ) he is a food enthusiasts who travels and reviewer who gives honest opinions on restaurants.“

“Well seasoned and cooked food (not over or under cooked). Prices are reasonable for vegan food. The drumettes are the main reason I went to this restaurant and they did not disappoint. My order included collard greens, black eye peas over rice, lemon herb drumettes and honey drumettes. I never pass up sorrel and it was very good as well. I will return the next time I’m in MD.“

“A little less salt would make it great for me. Thus, I'd go more often. But the variety of southern cuisine is good, and they have a plant base version. The service is great, which makes the dining experience even better in a nice atmosphere.“

One day I got tired of McDonald's and all the issues that come with it. There prices are good and competitive compared to local shops and they don't skimp on the food! Its maybe 1-3$ more on avg then mcornalds but its worth it. Plus there menu, both breakfast and lunch are avaliable all day! Definitely found me a new breakfast spot“

“I love the food at EllaRay’s Cafe. I go there every week. I usually call my order in and pick it up in 15 or 20 minutes. I prefer the vegetable platter and an extra side of beans. The portions are enough for two meals for me. I love breakfast there also. Glad I discovered them.“

The food hits the spot everytime....I typically love their wings, However this visit, the wings (while still tasty & good) were under cooked and as a result they were tough and hard to pull apart.....When I desire comfort food and don't feel like cooking it myself, this one of my only "2" go-to spots to satisfy my craving......

The waitress informed us there was a larger party on the other side of the restaurant, and that is why our food was taking so long. A paying customer is a paying customer whether the party is large or small. I would like to give one more chance before I decide not to patronize this Hyattsville location again.“

“Went there this past weekend and tried them for the first time!!! Was greeted soon as I walked in. A tough bag lady that was waiting for her order said I had to try the seafood Mac and cheese and she wasn’t wrong. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The good brother running the store also let me try a few other sides. All were amazing so I had to choose but I wanted to try all of them. I got the vegan drumettes, with the vegan ribs, seafood Mac and cheese and the collard greens. All tasted AMAZING!!!! I also ordered the mint tea and the ginger tea. Amazing. This was the Newark, De location on Main Street. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for hospitality and the great food.“
