“I visited Judy's Island off the recommendation of @A.I Brown. The restaurant had a nice vibe, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating, and the food was good!! I had the jerk chicken and my husband had jerk lambchops. Both were good...and we would visit again!“

“I've been going to this Caribbean spot for a long time when they were in the old market near Green St. I hadn't been in a minute, but I'm glad I did. Brother went and bought quite a bit. Ox tails were awesome. 1/2 jerk chicken mac and cheese greens plus yams was awesome. Basically, everything was delicious. Mike and his wife can throw down in the kitchen. Check it out for yourself.“

“The food is absolutely delicious here and reasonably priced for the quality and serving size. Service is always friendly, and the woman who's usually taking the orders is super sweet. Just a heads-up, this is not a dine-in place, as the lobby is quite small. Also, they are cash only, but there's a Wells Fargo across the street.“

“This is the total Jamaican experience.
The chef is amazing the way he blends spices and prepares the food. Omg I love this place. Best Jamaican food ever. It's out Brooklyn and I live 45 minutes away but it is well worth the drive. I plan to visit Straight Jamdown Island Cuisine again and again. This guy loves to cook. I love Straight Jamdown Idland Cuisine.“

“Parked across the street, saw the ??????flags and had to check out the menu. Pleasantly surprised to see many of my favorite dishes, met the owner and staff, so I bought quite a few dishes for takeout. We had the curry red snapper, brown stew chicken, oxtail, rice and peas, macaroni pie, cabbage, lentils and pumpkin. It was sooo good! Tasted like food from back home. Everything was cooked to order, steaming hot, flavorful, not salty and we ate it so quickly that I forgot to take pictures. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants some flavorful island cuisine! You won’t be disappointed.“

“First time ordering from here JIST 4-5 hours ago. I saw sooo many good reviews I had to try it. I ordered (delivery) their jerk chicken panini, and jerk chicken Rasta pasta. MAN… the pasta is sooo good!! The panini was also delicious, even though the panini pressed grilled bread had steamed inside its wrapper and lost its crispiness.. it was great. Wasn’t soggy just had lost its crunchiness where the grill marks are. I can’t wait to try their chicken pot pie and jerk chicken platter! I would’ve ordered those too.. but I don’t want to reheat anything and want to try it fresh. Will order those items next time! Thank you ❤️“

“Went to see One Love but wanted to have a full island experience for lunch beforehand. This restaurant was perfect! We met the owner when we ordered and she helped us select dishes that met each our tastes. The food was delicious and was just like being back in the Caribbean. Lots of food with the main dish and the flavors were to die for. The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect to see in any local establishment in the islands. Utterly wonderful experience.“

“Escovitch red snapper meal w mixed vegetables creme rice and peas! Crunchy spicy vinegared cabbage onion carrot veggies over a fried snapper with rice n beans you can clearly taste were simmered in coconut milk n spices! Grilled jerk chicken didn't make the shot but you can see the spices and smell it fumigating the area around lunchtime which is what drew me in in the first place! Need time for this dish it's about 15 mins! Small spot big flavor tho! Respect!“

“I just left here and I was hungry af! I wanted to be mad at them cus they didn’t have curry goat but when I got what they DID HAVE, I felt my tummy sing a song. They continued to apologize but the oxtails were tender and the rice was cooked perfectly. Idgaf what they have, I definitely will be back. They were kind, courteous and empathetic. I don’t leave reviews but these two men that serviced me today were exceptional. Thank you!“

“I see so many rude reviews about the customer service here and how bad it is I would say that I totally disagree with that because today was my first day here, and based off the reviews I went into the restaurant, expecting the person behind the counter to be extremely rude, and she was the total opposite. She was very nice and welcoming. She greeted me and also told me that she’ll be right with me because she was with someone else at the moment, we had a wonderful conversation as she prepared my food . my food was so delicious, but I was not surprised because out of all of the negative reviews none of them talked about the food being bad so I expected the food to be good. The food was excellent. Everything was hot and ready. This restaurant and it’s owners deserve so much more than what’s being said people should keep in mind when leaving a review to be 100% honest and not just base your review on your personal feeling don’t believe the bad reviews always give someone a chance because the customer service I received was above expectations and the food is amazing please support this business if you love authentic Jamaican food“
