“I recently started working near Benta Box and came here on recommendation from a coworker. I proceeded to come by every day of my orientation week and now I try to stop by whenever I'm working in that office. The food is delicious, the owner is personable and friendly, and if you can't stay for the vibes then know that you can get your food in a reasonable time even if you don't remember to order ahead.

The one thing I will note is that the interior is not set up for a large group of folks to eat. This is not a critique of the place, just information for anyone thinking of coming: this is a TRUE cafe set up, so come here for some personal time or maybe a 1:1 luncheon.“

“Tucked away in a business park is this absolute gem of a deli! Extensive breakfast and lunch menu, it was a tough choice but I ordered a grilled chicken caesar wrap combo so it came with fries and a fountain drink. Bonus points because they had diet dr pepper! Perfect portion size and I only spent $14 for a delicious and filling lunch. Highly recommend!!!!“

“Found this little neighborhood gem in the vicinity of Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport for a late breakfast on a Friday morning. Was very impressed by the friendly staff, Mom-and-Pop vibe and atmosphere of this place. Very reasonable prices for all your breakfast, brunch, and lunch/entree items. There's a lot of takeout business that happens here, but there area few takes tables and chairs if you want to eat in. All in all, a good choice if you're looking for an inexpensive and quick meal near the BWI airport grounds. Plenty of free parking too.“

Jay did a really good job balancing fillings and sauces so my sandwich was not dry or soggy. There are a lot of drink and chip options and the vibe is chill. “This is the quintessential neighborhood convenience store. It’s the perfect place to go if you need to pick something up quickly because it’s so close by.

They offer fresh, custom, sliced lunch, meat, and cheese, as well as all the other usual convenience, store staples.

The staff is helpful and friendly. You do pay a little more for certain items, but that is the price of convenience.

It is a little bit older of a little and the decor, if you will, is a little outdated, however, it has everything you need.

The cozy vibes wrapped around us like a warm blanket on a chilly Sunday—it was just what we needed! We settled ourselves at the bar, eager for some drinks and snacks, and that’s where the real fun began. Our bartender was nothing short of a beverage maestro! I ordered a cortado that was so perfectly crafted I nearly swooned. Seriously, it should have been on the cover of a coffee magazine! And let me tell you about their wine list—it’s like a unique art piece. I picked a Pinot Noir to accompany my house-made Old Bay chips, and it was such a delightful pairing that I felt like a sophisticated sommelier for a moment. Now, my bourbon-loving friend was over the moon to discover that Johnny's stocked his all-time favorite brand, FEW. “A couple months ago during the summer a transformer blew cutting out the power for the whole block., knowing I couldn’t cook, I got an Italian cold cut , fed myself and my mom. “I have never been in this restaurant but just looked it up on line after ordering here like 4x thru Grub Hub. It's giving Pete's Grill type of food - vibes. It's not Pete's Grill from the looks of it BUT the food I've ordered the last 4x in 2 weeks has been hot and delicious. The Pancakes are perfection - 3 pancakes for 5 or6 bucks is very decent. The grits come buttered and seasoned, the hash browns are grilled and browned. I've ordered from Pete's Grill and Ms Shirley's. Ms Shirley's can be expensive and Pete's gets busy. Golden Star Carry out is my new favorite spot for breakfast.“

“This place has been around a long time. They serve breakfast & lunch only so don't F around. They have a decent parking lot that accommodates 20 cars and you'll see construction vehicles blocking things up at times. That's how good the food is and like I said they're a simple restaurant nothing fancy.
