If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! This small open pit sandwich shop is an absolute gem — the kind of place you stumble across once and never forget. From the moment you walk up, you can smell the smoky goodness coming off the grill, and you just know you’re in for something special.
The sandwiches? Next level. Perfect in every way.
But what really sets this place apart is Jake — the owner, the grill master, and quite possibly the best person you’ll ever meet. He greets everyone like an old friend, remembers your name, and makes you feel like part of the family from day one. His passion for what he does shows in every sandwich he serves and every smile he shares.

“Heritage Smokehouse has been my go-to spot for the past two years—I’m there at least once a month, and I can’t get enough of it. The food, the atmosphere, the people—everything about it keeps me coming back. My wife and I recently attended a special event, the Carl Ehrhard Wine Dinner, and it completely blew us away. From the incredible pairings to the warm hospitality, it was next-level. Heritage isn’t just a restaurant to me—it’s a place I’ll be loyal to for life.“

“Jonah the cashier was super friendly and eager to help. A tall black girl with braids was very nice and helpful. The brisket was not very warm but good otherwise. The cornbread was overcooked and a tiny end corner sliver about an inch wide. (Very disappointing) the blueberry cobbler was warm and yummy even though it was also overcooked.“

“You are seriously missing out if you pass by this food truck. Unbelievably delicious ribs, tender, meaty and good size portion pork ribs. I'm in love with their food! I've gotten the wings, the brisket tacos and the Cajun fries....EVERYTHING is delicious ! Can't wait to go back and try one of their sandwiches. Chef Carlos is the real deal ! Located on the side of Planet Fitness, parallel to Taylor Ave, in the Hillendale Shopping Center“

“I had such a wonderful experience at Mission-BBQ in Owings Mills. The food was great, the service was great and the dining room was emmaculate. This was my first time here. I tried to salmon, collards, and mac and cheese. Food quality was very good. I even had a really pleasant encounter with one of their employees, Tyon. Nice kid! I will be back! Thank you!“

“I haven’t been in years but I’ll never forget when they first opened from the red dragon or something like that. The burrito were amazing but the the cookout big bad wolf makes is top notch. Me and my wife will be visiting after 10 years or so since I’ve last gone. Excuse my English I’ve been outside all morning pressure washing. Anyone need a hand let me know!“

“Outdoor seating only and there's no bathroom but the bbq sauce is insane. I generally don't like bbq sauce but I was literally dipping my fries in it. Ribs are great, chicken was a little dry, great fries. The cucumber and tomato salad could have been fresher but no one is there for the salads“

“Our first time here today celebrating my 24 anniversary with my wife. We got both the Hot Pot and Korean BBQ all you can eat. The food and service were amazing. Our waitress was Angelina P and she took great care of us. I highly recommend eating here. I will be back with our 3 kids to enjoy again.“

“When I entered this business, there was only one person taking orders and her name is Kamya. She was in the kitchen cooking a customer’s order and greeted me. She directed me to the kiosk to order and was very kind. I stepped out to get ice cream and came back. My food was done and she saw that I had a lot of bags and even asked me if I needed help. Customers continued to come in and she was kind greeting everyone with a smile, while going back and forth to the kitchen to fill orders.
The customer service was great and she was doing EVERYTHING on her own which makes it even more amazing. My food was good and I will be back! 🙂“

“I never give 5 stars all across the board on any establishment. This Crew was so respectful and amazing. They smiled. They said Yes Ma'am. Anything else, I was greeted coming in the door.OMG what great service. All White staff. Im a Black woman. Yes it matters so we know where to go and be treated just like everyone else“
