“This place truly lives up to its name as the Original Authentic Cheesesteaks! My husband and I went there for the first time today and loved it!! These cheesesteaks are amongst the best cheesesteaks in the Baltimore area! I could literally taste the love and soul that was put in this food. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch and my husband ordered the original. Not only were these cheesteaks juicy, they were seasoned to perfection! HUGE SHOUTOUT to the manager on duty! He was literally a One-Man Team today! He was truly an excellent example of what a Great Leader is! I'm not sure if he is usually the one that makes the food, but he needs to keep doing it!!! You know the food is good, when not a single person minded waiting. He is very skilled and we left happy to the point that we had to personally thank him. Also ShoutOut to the customer that volunteered to help out. Truly love seeing genuinely kind people and definitely love seeing black folks willingly supporting one another. We Certainly will be returning!“
“Went for my first time ever the place is very relaxing it has that blue collar comfiness, staff was very friendly and the prices are good I got the smoked cheeseburger it was amazing and I went again with my gf she couldn't walk and they would hold the door open for us and deliver our food so we wouldn't have to get up 20/10 would go again ?“
“I came here for my birthday based off a friend who came before for the turkey wings! OMG! You will not be disappointed. I had the turkey wings, greens, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, potato salad, honey cornbread (OMG) and cabbage. “My only mistake was being in a hurry when I gave this place a try for the first time. Went safe with a pit beef, and that was tender and tasty. While eating in the parking lot the owner offered me a few ribs. They were phenomenal. I’m coming back hungry but this time with plenty of time to kill. Can’t wait to explore the menu of this dynamite BBQ stand. Guys working there are absolute pitmasters.“
“Everything about our visit was wonderful. The customer service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The food at this location far exceeds that of any other Mission location that we have visited. On top of it all, we were treated to sweet potato pie, which is among the tastiest ever. For us, the 20 mile trip to Ellicott City is well worth it, despite passing other locations along the way.“

“I had to wait to post and now I am ready. AMAZING! I hate the AB next to my home in owings mills this location I tried for the first time it was so clean but the food was AMAZING! SO FRESH! The chicken tenders were real chicken fried to perfection. It was all SO GOOD! They have a forever customer.“
“This place is 100% the best pit beef within a 45 min radius. Anyone who rates their food below 5 stars is a straight liar looking for attention and has NO TASTE in food.. This place is CASH ONLY but there is an ATM in the liquor store next door. They also have one on site I believe. If you are thinking about trying this place DO IT, it’ll change your life!… Yes this is a true honest review. I don’t know a single person who works there by name. I would share a picture but I scared my sandwich down before I could take a breath.“
“So, I was looking for a legit Karachi level desi resturant in the DMV area and nothing would come close to Desi Bethak until I came across this spot. This resturant is a blessing for us folks, living in Maryland who dont want to drive all the way to Virginia suffering I495 just to get good food.I tried Chicken Karahi, Goat Karahi, Chicken Pulao, Seekh Kababs and Beef tawa Qeema. During my multiple visits I also got a chance to try their Halwa Puris, parathy and fried chicken. I would say they are very consistent with quality and taste. Karahis are really flavorfull. Kababs are a bit okay but Tawa qeema was out of this world! Same goes with the Pulao. Legit Pulao! Halwa puri are traditional the way they should be, tasty and flavorful. Parathas were a bit disappointing though, should skip it. Their sesame seed naans are to die for!! Loved those fresh hot naans with everything.On top of all this, their service is top notch, friendly staff, giving you a feeling of eating out by providing proper service and cutlery. I would recommend thos to all my folks in the DMV area.“
“If you want to run a meat restaurant, this is the place you should visit even if you study abroad.For dinner on the weekend, I ate brisket, raw ribs, seasoned ribs, raw meat, and grilled dumplings.It was an amazing experience that relieved all the stress I had been experiencing at the restaurant. I had no choice but to give it a very high score in all aspects, including the neat bottom dish, good quality and large amount of meat, friendly and prompt hospitality, and cleanliness. Especially when it comes to food, this is a great restaurant that captures both the visuals that young people like and the taste that older people like.In some ways, you may think there is nothing special, but I think finding a flawless home may be more difficult in the United States. If you look at the reason why there are no flaws, it is because the performance exceeds expectations in all aspects. Everything a meat restaurant should do, they already do it well here.“
“Tasty roadside BBQ joint. Tried a trio of meats, all were very moist but light on smoke and flavor. I didn't see or smell any traditional pits rolling smoke out back. I could be mistaken, but I suspect they are using electric smokers, hence If you are the kind of person that enjoys Mission BBQ, you'll love this spot. Their Mac n Cheese was banging!“
“I had a taste for some BBQ and was immediately drawn to this establishment when I saw the combo of BBQ & Whiskey. The cocktails didn’t disappoint. Had something called “Carrot Mule” and in addition to tasting delicious it kind of creeps up on you in a very good way. I ordered the 3 meat special with two sides: pulled pork, brisket and ribs and my two sides were the collard greens and 4 cheese Mac & cheese. This is now my go to restaurant when I get a taste for some good BBQ. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable. My 3 meat dinner was _$24 and worth every penny. Delicious!!!“
“I have been going to Smokey's since it was the Canopy. I went a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't up to par as it used to be. Not sure if it was because the dude that used to run isn't there anymore or if it was an off day for the staff. I just got food from there again today and it was definitely delicious mind you I am totally picky about my food so it was definitely a 5 out of 5 good today!!!!!!! Thank you guys for doing a great job.“
“The best thing we had here was the Combination Seafood Jhim. Very good variety of seafood and enormous portion. The leftovers were good for numerous meals afterwards. Great variety of banchan as well. The BBQ was very good and I enjoyed the different sauces they had, but I would say it was about on par with the Korean BBQ around where we live in MoCo. Same with the Japchae, although I will say the meat portion was noticeably better here.The only negative here was the service wasn't perfect. The restaurant was very busy on a Sunday evening and the waitresses were working very hard. They mostly took care of us very well but there was an order of water that never came, as well as a refill of banchan that never came. This was not the end of the world as we had the complimentary tea and the other food was more than enough, but this at least will make me reconsider coming back during peak times.Overall, I would recommend this place and the Combination Seafood Jhim was worth the drive from MoCo.“
Barbecue • $
“Serious about barbecue but a fun casual setting. Family-run, not a chain, the Nelsons are on site, cooking, greeting, chatting. Multiple sauces they make are great, but I get pulled pork without bread, topped with just the crisp housemade slaw and it's a fine fast tasty low-carb lunch. Dessert specials like fresh made brownies, raspberry butter bars balance that out. And they have a drive-through and live music outdoors some summer evenings. A fab chicken salad made from BBQ chicken added to menu.“
Korean •
“We were searching for a late dinner place on a Friday night and saw this new Korean BBQ soft opening and decided to try it. We were so delighted with the food, the service and the kindness they showed us even though it was already late and almost closing time! Our waiter, Chris, was very kind and attentive to our table and continued to offer more Banchans whenever we would eat up any of those delicious side dishes. We ordered the combination which already included beef and pork cuts, so we got to taste both meats. One very unique and new for us in a Korean BBQ place is the green sauce. Whatever it is, it was delicious, a little spicy but very good. Chris also offered to bring us the traditional sesame oil sauce which is a must! He also offered more lettuce every time we would eat up the bunch. I really appreciate that they did not even rush us, even though it was very late. Definitely going to be one of my new favorite places for a family dinner! I do have one suggestion to the management: change the cut of the pork belly into thinner slices. Pork needs to be cook more well done than beef, especially pork belly. The thick slices take too long to cook on the inside. Anyways, we are definitely coming back here!“
“I have returned to this first-rate carry-out twice now. Only the best ingredients and quality food is used for the lemon-pepper wings, fried rice, chicken sandwich and homemade potato chips (plain and barbequed!) Give your taste buds a treat with this perfectly seasoned food. I ordered for a specific time and it was ready when I appeared even though many others ordered for the same time. The two chefs are the ultimate professionals. Covid measures are in place. It is worth looking behind Pizza Hut in Dogwood Station.“
“I love going here. However this was the first time I had to pay for corn bread which I never knew they charged for it. Nobody ever charged me before and I guess the person serving it heard me question it and ended up giving me 2 pieces. I paid for it I just didn't know they charged. I was just taken back. Bathrooms are clean and my daughter actually behaved. I love the music too. The shrimp was surprisingly good.“
