“I stumbled across the Reserve from an advertisement i saw online about a past karaoke brunch event that was had there. From there i went straight to yelp to read reviews and everything was positive across the board from the service, dining experience, food and atmosphere.From the positive reviews i pulled up and met the owner Phil who kindly showed me both room and packages i could get to accomdate a space for my sisters 40th party and feed 30 people. I was sold on the large lounge area Phil created with the beautiful grass walls, large mirrors, french crystal chandelier lights and an plug in ready dj sound system.I am a worrier naturally so i would call and text the owner to make sure everything was going to be up to par for the party. Every request I made to Phil, he made it happen. From the small things to moving tables and furniture to have more room to requesting additional menu items last minute it was the easiest planning party experience i've had. Only thing i did was put up a few balloons around the grass walls, we set up a backdrop photo booth and had the best 40th karaoke dj party and everyone had a blast!After my event every guest came to me and said they enjoyed the vibe, atmosphere and mostly the food. They were very ecstatic on the fresh crispy chicken, mac and cheese, fish, salad and homemade dressing that came along with it. Up to this point i had never tasted Phil's food i went off the reviews off of google and yelp of real people spending their money and giving honest reviews. Let me tell you 'The Reserve' is a southern hidden gem. “This is what a smoke pit and BBQ place should be. No nonsense, great food. One look at this place the the cats who work there and you know you are in for a treat. It's all about the meat and they get the meat right. I had a rare pit beef sandwich that was a slice of heaven. The condiments are right there at the counter and include onion slices, seriously good horseradish, BBQ sauce, fresh peppers and a lot more. I'm a purist so just a little horseradish and an onion slice for me. Get a bag of Utz chips and a drink a you're set.I used to frequent the place about 15 years ago (until we relocated). “Great BBQ! Do yourself a favor and dine here. We are from out of town or would be regulars. We got ribs and pulled pork and some sides. Everything was hot, flavorful and delicious and clearly homemade (including the signature sauces). The bbq was smoky, had a nice crust, and fall off the bone tender. Mac and cheese was fresh out of the oven and green beans were flavorful and still had some bite. The owner/server was so kind. We sat out on the hidden upstairs patio including waterfall and fairy lights. Only downside was that it was empty on a Friday night. Keep this deserving business in business!“

“Just had my first experience with this wonderful establishment. They came to our apartment complex in Annapolis Junction. The young lady taking the orders could not have been sweeter and so upbeat. That’s refreshing nowadays. I had a basic 1/4 cheeseburger. It was the best cheeseburger that I have had in years. I don’t know what they use for seasoning but it was phenomenal. It was so good that I came back down from the 4th floor to thank them. I hope they come back every week. I will patronize!“

“So, I was looking for a legit Karachi level desi resturant in the DMV area and nothing would come close to Desi Bethak until I came across this spot. This resturant is a blessing for us folks, living in Maryland who dont want to drive all the way to Virginia suffering I495 just to get good food.I tried Chicken Karahi, Goat Karahi, Chicken Pulao, Seekh Kababs and Beef tawa Qeema. During my multiple visits I also got a chance to try their Halwa Puris, parathy and fried chicken. I would say they are very consistent with quality and taste. Karahis are really flavorfull. Kababs are a bit okay but Tawa qeema was out of this world! Same goes with the Pulao. Legit Pulao! Halwa puri are traditional the way they should be, tasty and flavorful. Parathas were a bit disappointing though, should skip it. Their sesame seed naans are to die for!! Loved those fresh hot naans with everything.On top of all this, their service is top notch, friendly staff, giving you a feeling of eating out by providing proper service and cutlery. “This place is wonderful. That was my first visit, the employees were very nice and cordial, explained everything and gave an extra dessert because it was my first time there. They didn't need to give anything free, because the food is 10/10. I bought some spare ribs, corn cassarole, mac n cheese and fries. The spare ribs were perfect and well smoked. Corn cassarole was magnificent. Mac n cheese too. Fries were fries. The only downside I would find is that most things that I ordered were sweet, all the sauces are versions of barbecue and they were all sweet too. If you don't like sweet flavors mixing with savory, you might not like this place! But I love it, and evertyhing was very well executed for the price. 10/10 would recommend.“

I started off with the red-eye chocolate old fashion. (Four Roses bourbon, espresso simple syrup, and chocolate bitters) I was hesitant about it initially, but it turned out to be amazing. My roommate started with the Pom reader (Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon (Blue Pit Private Barrel), Blaze, Pomegranate, Thyme, Lemon, Barrel-Aged Bitters, Soda).For the meal, I ordered the 3 meat platter with Mac and cheese and baked beans. Brisket, pulled pork, and St Louis-style ribs. Additionally, I ordered a side of the sausage links. My roommate ordered ribs and brisket. Born and raised in Texas she was not impressed with the food, but loved the drinks. I on the other hand enjoyed it all except the cornbread. It was a bit hard and stale. We both agreed we'd be back for the drinks.“

“I have been coming here off and on since 2001 when a friend told me about this place and we stopped by for a quick lunch order of fried fish. I was hooked and have visited many times over the years and have never given up a review. This review is going to be focused because they make some of the best fried fish this side of heaven as can be. The fish can be ordered as a sandwich with two slices of white bread or as a dinner with two side dishes which are a good size too. In the past I have ordered the dinner with collard greens which were very good and tasty. Today I'm getting my usual two fish sandwich. My wife wanted lake trout and I steak fish. I like both but I am a steak fish fan because as a I was growing up my parents cooked both but they make the steak fish like mom made it so I enjoy it as my mother made it. This place is a walk up stand and they always have a wait so if you're stopping by be prepared to wait and depending on the time of day like a Friday at lunchtime your talking about at least 30 minutes. The staff is mostly women and are mostly efficient in their jobs of cooking and getting the orders correct and complete. Although I feel they need to come up of a better way to get orders and notifying you when they order is ready for pick up. When I get my order I have to transport it home to my wife and the fish is still hot and fresh. I would say beautiful, brown, golden, and delicious. My wife says the first is outstanding and reminds her of the way her grandmother use to make it. My fish sandwich is steak fish. Cooked to perfection. Smells great and ready to go. It's business time. In summary the place is great for fish. I have talked to a lot of customers and they have been coming here for years too. Many wool at Johns Hopkins hospital and come over for work. I work in the medical community and if this place was not good they wouldn't come back. But they show up every day they are open. “This place is cute and the spicy chicken box is everything. It's a small, cozy, carryout with pink painted walls (need I say more);they have limited seating so don't go with a group. My go to dish is the spicy chicken box. I call it an upscale Chipotle chicken bowl with much better ingredients. In the box is, spicy chicken, rice, corn cheese, salad, garlic, and chilies, and it also omes with a sweet soy sauce and a yuzo sour cream sauce. Listen, you will not be disappointed.“
