“You'd be surprised what social media influence can accomplish. Happened to see a news clip of the unfortunate incident that happened with Ice Spice inside a Mickey D's and for some reason I was immediately turned off by lunch time to the notion of even trying their food. Besides, I was always a Wendy's kid myself. Decided to go a and give this one a try seeing that it was around the corner from my current location. I'm all about service and quality when it comes to spending money these days as it's hard to come by in this current economy. I kept it simple. A Dave's Single with fries medium and a Coke. The drive-thru was pretty busy but the interior was clear as most were probably pushing that commute home. Back in my day, the burgers were square and awesome! I worked at Wendy's briefly so I'd say I was an expert flipping those things behind my back. Well in the future, Dave's not cutting any corners anymore, and the flavor... WOW! Very rarely will you have a well put together fast food lunch as everyone is so busy, tired, or frustrated with their job so it's almost a take what you can get scenario everytime unless you know somebody on the grill or behind the register. In this case, it was just really good food flying out hot and lightning fast. Even the soda was fresh and too my surprise, they had one of those super fountains where there's like so many different variations of the base brands. All different flavors squished in side a little box with a screen. Literal wizardry at your fingertips. Burger wasn't scorched, perfectly cooked, and hot with fresh lettuce, onion, tomatoe, pickle, and ketchup with perfect hint of ketchup. Fries were fresh not burnt, and not overly scorched as well. The meal was so good, I actually wished I stayed inside and soaked up the atmosphere a bit as it would have been well worth it. I don't usually recommend fast food, but good food and great service always deserves recognition. I hope these folks keep up the good work and stay in business a long time, as this business model is the perfect example of what it takes to win a customer.“
“Wendy’s finally woke up and started enhancing their frosty choices (instead of just vanilla and chocolate) as I’ve been suggesting to them for years! I guess they finally realized they had to keep up with the McDonald’s!
Also tried their new chicken strips, (mostly because we wanted to compare them to Chick-fil-A). Although Wendy’s chic strips were good, there was no contest whatsoever, Chick-fil-A strips win hands down! Sorry Wendy’s“
