“Anderson’s Bar in Clements is truly a hidden gem. It has that authentic, small-town atmosphere that’s getting harder to find, and the kind of friendly service that makes you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The food is solid, the drinks are priced right, and the environment is relaxed and welcoming — exactly what a local bar should be.
Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite, meeting friends, or just looking for a laid-back spot off the beaten path, Anderson’s delivers. A great place that deserves far more recognition.“

“Where do I even begin? The night before our wedding Sunny personally met us at the door with Manhattans, IPAs and cups of bacon. He and his staff made our incredibly culturally diverse family feel at home. When I needed a place to hold a cancer fundraiser for my dearest friend on the planet, Sunny not only allowed us to use his place without changing us, he allowed us to provide and auction off food and donated 10% of the bar receipts. Not the profits, the receipts. If there is a kinder, more generous business owner in St. Mary’s County I’d love to meet them. We no longer live in the county but every time we visit, we are greeted with a warm sincere hug from a good human we are proud to call friend.“

“A true gem that will satisfy all your needs...fast service from a good team, generous pours, great big burgers and pizza that could stand on its own as a pizza joint! Even had a great Filipino app we loved. Weekends we have enjoyed good bands and not so loud you can't talk as well. Just a fun spot to watch your games and not break the bank! Our goto spot now that the new owner apparently turned it around!“

“Food was good, but the server I had was inattentive. She just gave me my food and said here you go and walked away. I had hoped she would come back so I could get ketchup. I had to ask another server to get it for me. Since I had a burger with a lot of sauce on it I needed napkins to wipe my hands. Once again no sign of my server. I asked another server walking by if she could get me some napkins. She brought me cocktail napkins. Pretty much useless when trying to wipe sauce off your hands! My server finally showed when I was almost finished eating up to ask me if I wanted anything or the bill. A friend of mine said thyey had poor service there as well. Train your servers and may I will come back one day.“

“The Ironwood is the restaurant/pub attached to the Breton Bay Country Club golf course. I'd call it a pub in the sense that it's more of the family and friend meeting place than a country club restaurant. We've been down there for years as they host the community Christmas tree lighting where Santa visits to throw the switch and visit with all of the neighborhood kids. Food is standard pub fare with some more deli style sandwiches and service is perfect. If the Ironwood comes back as an option when you search restaurants, don't ignore it. You'll love, especially in the warmer months, the chance to eat outside with a view of the golfers wasting all of their good swings on the driving range.“
