“My first time trying this place, I was on my way to work running late...stop to grab tacos to go...but I sat down to eat just ONE taco and told myself I'll save the rest for work....a long story short, i ended up late for work because i couldnt stop eating the rest of my food...the food was so good i couldnt get UP, i had to finish the rest, it was so DELICIOUS...!!!! BEST TACOS IN LAUREL!! ?“

“I dropped in on an early Monday evening for take-out and had a drink while I waited. They have some pretty awesome menu items and it was quite difficult for me to chose. I opted for the veggie chimichanga. I ordered a margarita, snacked on some chips and delicious salsa and enjoyed the wait. After I dug in at home, I was pleasantly pleased with the presentation of my food along with the tastiness. It was amazing! I couldn't believe I've lived in the area my whole young adult years and never been there! Definitely a place to keep in your pocket!“

“Easiest five stars I can give! I found Tacos a la Madre a few years ago - they have the absolute best tacos in the PG area for a fantastic price! Nowadays, I get the nine taco bundle for $34ish bucks. These bundles are great for two or three people to enjoy for a meal and come with different types of salsa (mild or spicy), cut limes, and a quick bag of chips. The food is just so flavorful - my favorite proteins are the carnitas, the steak, and the shrimp. But honestly, they're all perfect. They have quite a few other menu options too - I've wanted to try the quesadillas or the carne asada fries for the longest but can't bring myself to visit and not get a platter of tacos. The service is quick and friendly. The staff gets you in and out of the restaurant fairly quickly and do a nice job of making you feel welcome. The restaurant itself is pretty small but it's usually not too busy inside so you can find a place to sit if you'd like to eat inside. The best seating though is at one of the shaded picnic style tables in front of the restaurant. This front patio on a sunny day is the perfect spot to enjoy some delicious bites. I'll 100% be back soon!“

“This use to be the old Applebees I think but it's handling it's business very well! It's Sunday and not a table around! The bar was stocked with patrons but our wait was t long at all. Once seated a very nice waitress approached and gave us menus. We asked for recommendations and I really like that she took the time to ask us what was our preferred choice of spirits so she could offer us something based on our preferences-BIG KUDOS! My selection of the Cancun Margarita didn't disappoint! It comes in an actual pineapple with plenty of liquor but not overpowering! The guacamole was supposed to be made table side but it was so crowded she couldn't get down the aisle with her cart! Although I like that experience as you're able to ask them to add a little more lemon or such/such but it was GREAT! We chose the queso with ground beef but that isn't anything special with that. I did see a Snapper on another table that I want to try with my next visit! Parking is great(in the shopping center lot) prices are reasonable and the staff all seem to care. Everyone chipped in on duties the manager even came around to tables thanking patrons for being there. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible even under the influence of 2 of those drinks(had a little stumble ) and oh yes they sneak up on you so don't be like me and choose more than you should. Overall, I can see myself driving back here for happy hours or even a late night meal! Another table had some Mexican Candy shits( these weren't regular shots though) those WILL definitely be the first drink on the next visit!“

“Stopped in on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. We ordered chicken flautas and a quesabirria. The food was incredibly delicious and now I have three flautas left for lunch tomorrow. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu!“

“This place is neither an Indian nor a Mexican restaurant. The people who work here are mostly Mexican/Latin Americans (I didn't see any Indian Americans working here) but the food has Indian influence(the keyword is "influence"). So take it for what it is, It's good for a cheap quick bite but that's about it. Don't expect anything more than that. If I had half a star I would give this a 4.5 but I believe 4 stars is not too harsh either.“

“Good portion! Everything was well seasoned and fresh. I had the steak bowl (grilled peppers, grilled corn, salsa, sour cream, cheese) and a large side of chips and guacamole. Chips were salted and the guacamole was fresh with a hint of citrus. After the bowl, I couldn't finish the chips but it wasn't for lack of trying! lol. 100x better than Chipotle and they give adult portions. Only issue - it arrived ice cold! like it was in the fridge. Quick reheat and it was all good.“

“This place is a little hard to find but definitely worth the effort. Great Mexican food and fantastic service. The servings are huge, I think the queso dip could serve 8 people. Margaritas were okay but beers from the giant cooler of beer were cold and refreshing.“

“Have been in and out of that Exxon many times, and never even considered eating here. I was hungry and grabbed a chicken quesadilla to go. It was one of the best quesadillas I've ever had, have since been back and gotten the steak and some other things. The cheese pulls are ridiculous. Hidden Gem!“

“A nice little food truck near the university of Maryland. I came here for a fencing tournament with my girlfriend and we want to satisfy our yearning for tasty Mexican food. We found this food truck 4 mins away from the university of Maryland. I loved their gorditas, and they have a good variety of tacos and even serve birria as well.“

“The food was delicious. I used to order food from here previously when I lived closer but this was my first time going in person. The shrimp street tacos are my favorite. The prices are great and the service was good as well (i even overheard another customer being very difficult and the server handled it with grace and patience).“

“My husband treated us to lunch from Krazi Kebob, and his recommendation of the Chicken Kati Rolls turned out to be an absolute game-changer for my taste buds. As someone unfamiliar with this type of food, I had no idea what to expect, but let me tell you, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Chicken Kati Rolls. The chicken was bursting with flavor. The recommended side of spicy sauce added an extra kick that elevated the overall experience. To complement the rolls, we also ordered fries. They were perfectly cooked and paired exceptionally well with a mayo dip. Adding to the positive experience was the seamless pick-up process. Ordering was a breeze, and when we arrived to collect our meal, everything was ready and waiting. Definitely coming back!“

“I love this place ! Food is fresh and authentic. The manager and staff is always super helpful and friendly. I work in the area and usually go during my lunch break at least 3x a week. I recently had a gathering and ordered the 20 taco tray for 37 bucks and it was a total hit !“

“The salmon birria tacos are a must try. The accompanying consomé is rich and flavorful. It tastes like homemade seafood stock with a little cream. They could sell that alone with a little shellfish and be straight. I found the tacos to be small, and the salmon was overcooked which was a bummer. But, I like that you can order everything as singles, and I love that they offer consomé without having to order three daggone tacos! I thought the other offerings were just aight, but will return for these. Very warm, kind staff. When you encounter helpful, smiling faces, you feel welcome and appreciated. Thanks ladies.“

“Carne Asada was nicely cooked tortillas frescas , cebolla y cilantro with your tacos , salsa Verde was good and very nice people. Five tacos cost me $18 but they are decent size with a decent amount of meat! Good place coming again for my Taco fix when I go to MD again.“

“I do not regret coming to J&J Mex Tex taqueria today. The staff were very friendly and I like the music they play, it’s very uplifting and encouraging. The food was flavorful, and I would definitely recommend my friends and family to eat here! Great place in the DMV.“

“Just to clarify for everyone they used to have a restaurant until university of MD bought the complex back in Oct and evicted everyone so they can knock it down and build dorms. They have food trucks currently and hopefully will have a restaurant again. By far the best tacos I've had in MD in the last 20 years.“

“Visited here numerous times. The staff is friendly and we enjoy talking with the servers from varied Central and South American countries. The Hawaiian fajitas are great. During our first visits, the servers were more attentive, asking if we wanted more to drink and that type of thing. Over the past few visits, even when there might only be one other party in the restaurant, our server (a different person during each visit) has left my glass go empty and seldom stop by to check on us.“

“Are you in Landover, the desert of Latino food, and craving street tacos? Well, this is the only place. While a bit greasy, they hit the spot. They are generously portioned and just looked at the radish and peppers and lime they come with! Glad these guys exist here!“

“eunice, with all respect to your review but no where in the area red-snapper cost $13.99 a red snapper wont cost you less than $30 in any type of restaurant from low end to high end. living cost are going up every day. prices are difficult to maintain always the same. i’m a customer that have been visiting from a longtime and have seen the prices changes but the quality and quantity of my food will never change. if you want to maintain the quality of the of a good product you pay for it.Food is definitely good BUT the prices you see on the menu ARE NOT what they charge you.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$Food is definitely good BUT the prices you see on the menu ARE NOT what they charge you.I ordered a fried fish and they asked me if I wanted tilapia or red snapper, I said snapper. The menu showed 13.99 for tilapia, so I figured the snapper would be around that price, they charged me $25 for that plate. Not even in a fancy restaurant they charge that much for fried fish.Pupusas are 2.75, they are good.Tacos are 3.75, also good. The lady who cooks and serves is nice and it would’ve been a great experience if it wasn’t for the overcharge. If you show a price on the menu commit to it, or just adjust the prices. Easy.“
“The food is fantastic. I had the shrimp, steak and chicken tacos. The sauces that came with the tacos are super good. I also had the taco dip, which was also amazing. I took some back to my staff and everyone loved it. We have found a new lunch spot.“

“Food was FIRE. Ordered rotisserie chicken, and fajitas. Very tasty! So much flavor. Yellow rice was pretty good too. I ordered cole slaw as a side, and it was good but it seemed as if it was blended, mushy. Overall I would recommend this place.“

“My 1st time eating here & overall...not bad.The food was good, location not. In a semi strip mall in the hood.I ordered a shrimp & chicken fajita over the phone & it was ready when I arrived. The lady was nice and I ordered a half tea/lemonade drink. The drink was watery and not sweet. They only give you 4 medium size shrimp, a small cup of black beans, & the Pico was the smallest portion I've ever seen (see photo), especially for the size platter. The Pico should've been the same size as the beans. You also get small extras of sour cream, a cheese, & a greenish garnish which I didn't use any of them.I stopped at Chipotle and got a Gauc, added bacon bits and it was a good lunch! (They don't have quac)I will return! With the drink it was about $17“

“I can only tell what I have seen in this place. I haven't eaten here yet. I only come here for business. But I can tell you from what I see the place is crowded and when I look around the place everybody is smiling while they're eating and that indicates they are enjoyi g the food.“
“Solid food really good quesadillas. The wait was not too bad after ordering, only about 15 minutes. Very friendly and kind. The truck is located by a gas station with plenty of parking which is nice. The truck has cool lights and the menu is on the truck and on little paper sheets by the window.“

“If you want authentic homemade Mexican food, this a great place to go. Small little shop that offers a variety of different Mexican dishes. Personally my favorite dish to order is the gordita campechan. Comes with pork and steak. Pack full of flavor and with the hot sauce make it a 10/10. The tacos and pupusas are good as well but my MVP is the Gordita. Will definitely be back“

“I tried this spot since it was on doordash. I ordered the birria quesadilla with creama and avocado. Hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. The beef was well seasoned, consume was flavorful and just amazing, hot sauce had the perfect amount of heat (saying this as someone who loves spicy food) and flavor balance . Everything tasted fresh and delicious. They earned a returning customer out of me “

“IF YOU ARE A FAN OF DELICIOUS FLAVOR, GO HERE IMMEDIATELY!!!!!Angel's Restaurant is a very unsuspecting place, so go in knowing that there's not much to look at while you eat. BUT!!! The food MORE THAN MAKES UP FOR THAT!! I went in craving tacos and I wasn't disappointed at all! They have "putacos" which is a glorious marriage of a pupusa and a taco, and they are heavenly!!!! I also ordered their chicken tacos and I was in love with them too!! Our waitress was also very nice and kindly explained the menu to us, which helped a lot! I can't wait to go back!!“

“The food is an amazing. It’s a carrot type of restaurant, however there is seating available. Ambiance is less than desired but again the food is always delicious and seasoned to perfection…..ALWAYS!!!!Vegetarian options: Everything can be ordered without meat.“

“The chicken quesadilla needs better seasoning and the tortilla that does not harden so quickly or becomes hard and for the shrimp cocktail it needs more shrimp and less acids. That is a recommendation or tip so that you can improve in those dishes and more people come. Greetings and Happy Christmas and Happy New Year.PS: I will edit if they improve in those aspects.Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian dishes without meat.“

“The location looks rundown from the outside, but on the inside, it's OK. There are a few tables for dining in. You have to self order and pay at the kiosk. The order was ready relatively quickly. The online menu prices are incorrect. The prices have increased. For example, one chicken taco is $4.50. The food tastes good. The rice is really good. I would recommend this restaurant. Parking is very limited here.“
“This hole in the whole is located inside Super Best International market. And, they have the best tacos! I mean wait everything on the menu is absolutely delicious! Everything is freshly made! It's usually just 1 or 2 people working so when you go be patient everything is made to order and you can taste it! I love coming here for something refreshing and delicious“

“We had good food and good fun at La Curva Restaurant in Greenbelt, MD. We enjoyed music and a good dining experience. Some of the food we had was fajitas, yucca, plantains, yellow rice and black beans. The food and service was good. I give this spot a 3.7 out of 5.“

“El Papi Real Street Tacos is a little off the beaten path. The food is for an acquired soft taco taste. The food was dry and not as flavorful as other taco tasting around the US. It did not seem like a Central American Taco experience but more like a US fusion.Parking: The parking lot is small but open to allow a clear view of the surroundings. It appeared to have between 20-25 spots.“

“My first time here and it won't be my last. Really great authentic food. It's was a little confusing when we first walked in because we weren't sure if it was counter or table service. You order at the counter, seat yourself and they'll bring it out to you.I had 1 carnitas and 1 chorizo taco w/a Mexican Coke. Both tacos were fantastic. My wife was in LOVE with the chicken mole. I'm also very rarely a fan of rice but theirs was spot on and I enjoyed it a lot. This place is a gem. Really great food, very reasonable prices, good portions, friendly folks behind the counter and magic in the kitchen.“

“Delicious tacos at a decent price! I tried the steak and chicken tinga tacos, chips & salsa, and homemade plantains. First, let me tell you, I hate fresh tomatoes. I have avoided them religiously for years. If it accidentally comes on my food, I pick it off and go about my business. They came out with a cup of salsa that looked like cut up fresh tomatoes, red onions, and cilantro. At first, I didn't touch it. In an object lesson for my son, I told him just because I don't like some things, doesn't mean he can't try new things. I offered to show him that we can all try things together, and let. me. tell. you. WHAT. The flavors that exploded on my taste buds were PHENOMENAL! It did not taste like tomatoes! My husband said, "I have never seen you eat tomatoes our entire relationship (15 years)." So if a simple salsa can blow your mind, imagine what the tacos did?“

“We have visited La Placita on two occasions, both times on Fridays around 5 in the afternoon, which has left a marked impression on us. One of the things I liked the most was the practically empty environment, which allowed for a calmer and more relaxed experience. In addition, the availability of a parking space was a plus point that I cannot ignore. However, the cashier's service did not fully live up to my expectations. I felt some pressure to order quickly, which can be awkward, especially if it's your first time there and you're not yet familiar with the menu.As for the prices, I consider them to be reasonable and in line with the quantity and quality of the food offered. I especially highlight the excellent flavor of the food, especially the carnitas, which reminded me a lot of the authentic flavor of Mexico. The only downside I found were the tortillas, which in my opinion were a little thick and tended to get tough if not eaten quickly. As for the variety of dishes, both the cakes and the tacos are an excellent option. The portions are generous, which allows you to even take some to enjoy at home. The atmosphere of the place is very pleasant, with careful decoration that contributes to creating a cozy atmosphere. Although we did not have the opportunity to try the desserts, the wide variety available invites us to return to explore more options. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant and I definitely plan to return in the future to continue enjoying its delicious food and pleasant atmosphere.“
“First time here. I went before lunch time so the service was fairly quick. The place looked clean. The fiestas Fajitas with chicken, shrimp and steak was ok. Good quality and quantity, a bit too much onions and need a bit more flavors and seasoning! It was a bit too bland. Thank you.“

“Had an unforgettable stop here. I wandered in after picking up some groceries next door, I had seen and heard about this establishment so I had been intending to check it out.I was greeted by some lovely ladies seated at a table with a smile and very nice sentiment on the way in. As I sat down at the bar, I had a very lovely lady assist me with some Dos Equis and the gentleman who seemed to be manager or lead of the evening was also really focusing on on getting me my order quickly and ensuring I was paid attention to. It was very flattering. I also was able to practice my Spanish comfortably and felt quite at home and treated with patience and the highest respect.I would love to come back and really get into the spirit of the establishment.Thank you so much for your amazing service and wonderful atmosphere.I did not get to try any food but from what I experienced, am greatly looking forward to it.Much love y'all. Theres a shopping center right Infront so there is plenty of parking when it's slow but during peak hour it gets hard to find parking. The salsa chips were pretty stale but okVegetarian options: Pretty sure you can ask for no meatParking: Plenty of parking when not busy“

“Prices are a bit higher than other Peruvian chicken places. The employees were very nice. My husband got tacos and he enjoyed them I got chicken with green beans and rice. It was pretty good. Chicken was a little drier than other Peruvian chicken places but still very tasty. The sides were amazing. We split a tres leches that was great.“
