“We had a great time here. The man at the counter was patient with us in taking our order and answering questions. Our only gripe was that the sauce on the table wasn't hot enough 😝. The guy that took our order made sure to tell us what was in the sauce bottles and warn about one having jalapeños in. Well, we wished there was more vegetables in the dishes we ordered.“

My catering order had a good 10 to 20 minute wait even ordering ahead of time. Didn't come with big enough sides for all the meat 🍖🍗 , rice 🍚 and beans 🫘. Didn't get enough bowls and fork either.“

When you go inside it is very under decorated, but clean and they have a good sense of branding with their black and yellow color scheme. The tacos are amazing, flavorful, and consistent every time I go. The ingredients taste fresh. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the shrimp tacos and the birria tacos! 🌮 This is our new go-to taco place. You have to go- you won’t be disappointed.“

I had the quesadilla, and my friend got the California burrito—which comes loaded with fries inside and was honestly really good and filling. One thing I really appreciated was that they offer non-alcoholic slushies. I tried the guava one and it was so good, super refreshing and definitely a standout. I was a little surprised they don’t offer tacos, but the menu still has great options that hit the spot. The food, staff, and overall vibe were all on point—friendly service and a chill atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer than planned. Only heads-up is parking can be a bit tricky on busier days, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great spot I’d definitely come back to.“

Certainly there are no lack of taquerias anywhere but Dos Toros stands out for its wonderful ingredients, delicious food, very good prices and, last but not least, the excellent staff. Their smoky salsa, for example, is so delectable I could just drink it. Which pretty much describes how I feel about every aspect of this establishment.“

“If you’re thinking about trying the birria at Taqueria Guadalajara, just do it , it truly lives up to the hype. The tacos de birria and the birria torta con consomé are definitely the stars of the show. The tacos are big, packed with tender, flavorful meat, and perfect for dipping in the rich consomé. Every bite is full of flavor.
And the torta… ni hablar. It absolutely stands up to its reputation as a super torta huge, jugosa, and loaded with delicious birria. It’s one of those sandwiches that’s messy in the best way because it’s so full and juicy.
Yes, it was busy when we went, but it was 100% worth the wait. La comida está riquísima, the portions are generous, and you can see why this place is so popular.

“If you love Mexican seafood, ceviches, and margaritas, this place is for you. Mariscos Culiacán, right on University Blvd in Takoma Park, seriously delivers.
I had the Original Tajín Margarita (their spicy-style margarita), and it was amazing—perfectly balanced with a great kick. The Aguachiles were fresh, spicy, and full of flavor. But the star of the night was the Ceviche Especial—absolutely unbelievable. Super fresh seafood with bold, well-seasoned flavors.
What really sets this place apart is the combination of authentic Mexican mariscos and sushi. You can enjoy ceviches, tostadas, cocteles, and sushi rolls all in one visit, and everything works.
The space is big and lively with lots of screens, giving it a fun sports bar vibe. They also have happy hour from 4–7 PM plus daily specials, which makes it an easy win.
If you’re into ceviches, margaritas, and bold Mexican flavors, I highly recommend Mariscos Culiacán. I’ll definitely be back.“

“I really should have taken a photo but I was hungry. I ordered the Honey Lime Sriracha Chicken Burrito Bowl. Are you kidding me? This dish was amaaaazing. From sweet to a bite of heat. And the bowl is huge! Looots of chicken. Way better value compared to Chipotle. And I will not insult and compare the food. Just how much you receive based on price. I hope they open more locations. “Every Sunday I buy food for my employees. I've eaten there before and the food is excellent. But for the past few Sundays it hasn't been as good as it used to be. The rice and bean sides that come with the fajitas are getting smaller and smaller. And when I ordered an extra side, they sent me a super small portion. We really like the food and hope they improve.“
