“This place is nice. I am African American so the language barrier was a little difficult to navigate but there are English speaking services there. We got the 3 mix nachos and fajita. The food is fresh and very good! The drinks are good as well. We get take out from here but there is plenty of seating and they plan authentic music.“
“I recently dined at D'lena and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious. The flavors were exceptional and left me wanting more. I ended up doing a walk in & ended up at the bar, my server at the bar was Paul! He truly made my visit outstanding! He was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. His knowledge of the menu and willingness to ensure my dining experience was perfect truly stood out. I highly recommend Dlena to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience with fantastic food and top-notch service!I had the squash soup & wagyu fajitas on a hot plate. The steak was also very good especially combined with the broccolini.“
“We had a lovely time here. I ordered the white shrimp entree and the white beans dish that was pale green with asparagus and the enchilada; all were delicious. Chips and salsa was great as a free starter. We sat at this mini bar section and the 2 wait staff there gave us exceptional service. I casually mentioned something about the shrimp dish being a tad salty and they just decided to send me a less salty replacement dish and recommended a vegetable dish to complement it.Five-star Service: Very nice and attentive staff but also leave you be to enjoy your meal so was a pretty relaxed atmosphere.Parking: Better off taking the metroKid-friendliness: Ok if bringing older kids“
“Cool restaurant with fresh, creative Mexican food. Wide variety of vegetarian and meat options. Friendly service. I couldn’t find anywhere to park and parked a ten minute walk away. Maybe there’s somewhere closer that I don’t know about. The new salad was super good and the pasole was good too.“
“Amazing!! Best guacamole we’ve ever had. Margarita was excellent. We had the short ribs, taquitos, and a variety of the tacos. Ordered a second guac. Server, Angel, was superb!! Can’t say enough about this place.Dietary restrictions: Great options for gluten free and vegan.“
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Los Caballeros for their weekend brunch and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff and the owner himself. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and had a laid-back vibe, perfect for a lazy weekend brunch. Now let's talk about the food. Los Caballeros proved to be a pleasant surprise. They were able to accommodate options for vegetarians, vegans, and pescatarians. But what truly stole the show for me were the drinks. I highly recommend trying their pitcher of tamarindo margarita. It was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, and definitely hit the spot. They also had other options like mimosas and bloody marys for those who prefer a classic brunch drink. The owner, who was also our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. He made sure we were enjoying our meal and even gave us some recommendations for their signature dishes. It was evident that he takes great pride in his restaurant and wants his customers to have a memorable experience. To end our brunch on a sweet note, we decided to try their dessert. And let me tell you, it was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.Overall, my experience at Los Caballeros was exceptional. From the food to the drinks to the service, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend checking them out for their weekend brunch or even for a regular meal. The owner and his team have truly created a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for their customers. So next time you're in the mood for some delicious food, head over to Los Caballeros and treat yourself to a delightful brunch. You won't regret it.Parking: This area of parking gets very busy due to being right beside the area of the Capitol.“
“Vera has completely won me over with their exceptional cuisine and inviting atmosphere. Let's talk about the branzino - it's an absolute game changer. Tender, flavorful, and simply to die for. If you visit Vera, make sure to try it - you won't regret it. And speaking of must-tries, their Dios Del Andes y Cedro cocktail is a personal favorite of mine. It's a delightful blend of flavors that truly impresses. And let's not forget about the guacamole - it's fresh, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or simply looking for a fantastic dining experience, Vera is a must-visit destination. And the service is always amazing.“
“Went here on a first date and it was a fun spot! It took a little while to get a table and the service was a tad on the slower side but they were super busy and it was a Friday night so it made sense! We both ordered margaritas on the rocks and they were delicious and a good size/strength, not too sweet. The app we got was chips and guac and it was a great size for the price. We also both ordered 3 tacos from the options listed, both of our favorites was the Al pastor. Only complaint here was that the plate was this like rock slab so as the tacos dripped there was not edge to catch it and our waiter took a bit to get us extra napkins. I believe they were recently featured in a Washington post article or something like that so they might've been super busy because of that! Also as an aside, we had to try one of the tacos with ants in it because that's a unique experience and they were much larger ants than expected! Not my taste and weirded me out a bit but cool that they have the option!“
“My first time trying this place, I was on my way to work running late...stop to grab tacos to go...but I sat down to eat just ONE taco and told myself I'll save the rest for work....a long story short, i ended up late for work because i couldnt stop eating the rest of my food...the food was so good i couldnt get UP, i had to finish the rest, it was so DELICIOUS...!!!! BEST TACOS IN LAUREL!! ?“
“My server, Aleidy, was open, pleasant and made great suggestions! We got the family style course was everything!!! I've been to many Mexican restaurants and this location exceeded my expectations. Every plate that came out was EXCELLENT!!!“
“My family and I celebrated my sister's birthday at El Aguila this weekend and we had so much fun! The food was delicious and cooked perfectly, the workers were organized and served the food to 64 guests quickly and without any problems. I would recommend El Aguila to those looking to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant has plenty of space for events large or small. Guadalupe really did a great job communicating from the beginning of the reservation to the end. “Being from Texas, I had to keep in mind that this was not Tex-Mex. The food was awesome! We had cucaraches, which was fried shrimp with a hot sauce, and nacho mama for appetizers. They were both amazing! The sauce is really not too spicy, just a little tangy . Birria tacos were good and cheesy. Everything was good! Service was prompt even though we had reservations. Nice and cozy, with low lighting. I tried a drink- A Piná which wasn't frozen but served over slushy ice. This place is definitely one to put in your rotation.“
“Cozy and friendly place where you will please your palate!!!! If you are looking for delicious food, and warm customer service visit this restaurant! It was wonderful for my family ??♀️??????to find this place on my visit to Washington!!“
“The restaurant has a very small space and you could definitely feel the close proximity that makes it feel cramped.Despite this, we were seated very effectively and the food was delivered in such a timely manner. The dish options were normal but not overwhelming and the appetizers and entrees were incredibly flavorful. I would say depending on your dish, it may be smaller or larger than you expect.I would advise not taking a car as it probably applies to all of DC, public transit and walking access was amazing and the area did not feel unsafe at the 8pm hour that we ate.Overall, we enjoyed our service, a comfortable authentic Mexican place for visitors!Parking: We saw some parking spots but very difficult to navigate around this area with car.“
“These are some of the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because they are STINGY with the sauces and with the family tacos deals they force you to choose 3 meats which limits people like me who don’t eat pork or beef.“
“We love this neighborhood gem. Excellent food (best nachos in DC, yummy tacos, and delicious plantains), great drinks, wonderful staff. I'm only removing one star because they often run out of michelada mix, which is my favorite. But otherwise highly recommend.“
“I dropped in on an early Monday evening for take-out and had a drink while I waited. They have some pretty awesome menu items and it was quite difficult for me to chose. I opted for the veggie chimichanga. I ordered a margarita, snacked on some chips and delicious salsa and enjoyed the wait. After I dug in at home, I was pleasantly pleased with the presentation of my food along with the tastiness. It was amazing! I couldn't believe I've lived in the area my whole young adult years and never been there! Definitely a place to keep in your pocket!“
“This past weekend I hosted a birthday party at Mission Navy Yard. The staff was fantastic, providing my group with a private room, bartender, bathroom, and outside patio area. Mission Navy Yard responded to all emails and questions promptly and we experienced no issues throughout our experience. Would definitely recommend!“
“This use to be the old Applebees I think but it's handling it's business very well! It's Sunday and not a table around! The bar was stocked with patrons but our wait was t long at all. Once seated a very nice waitress approached and gave us menus. We asked for recommendations and I really like that she took the time to ask us what was our preferred choice of spirits so she could offer us something based on our preferences-BIG KUDOS! My selection of the Cancun Margarita didn't disappoint! It comes in an actual pineapple with plenty of liquor but not overpowering! The guacamole was supposed to be made table side but it was so crowded she couldn't get down the aisle with her cart! Although I like that experience as you're able to ask them to add a little more lemon or such/such but it was GREAT! We chose the queso with ground beef but that isn't anything special with that. I did see a Snapper on another table that I want to try with my next visit! Parking is great(in the shopping center lot) prices are reasonable and the staff all seem to care. Everyone chipped in on duties the manager even came around to tables thanking patrons for being there. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible even under the influence of 2 of those drinks(had a little stumble ) and oh yes they sneak up on you so don't be like me and choose more than you should. Overall, I can see myself driving back here for happy hours or even a late night meal! Another table had some Mexican Candy shits( these weren't regular shots though) those WILL definitely be the first drink on the next visit!“
“Stopped in on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. We ordered chicken flautas and a quesabirria. The food was incredibly delicious and now I have three flautas left for lunch tomorrow. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu!“
“Had a great happy hour at Tequila & Mezcal! $8 mezcalitas, $10 tacos (3 per order), etc. the tacos were really good as well! The chicken was deceptively strong, and the Al Pastor was delish. I’d 100% come back again to try more of their delicious food.“
“SERVICE: Our server was friendly and helpful in answering our questions and providing recommendations from the menu based on our preferences. Very professional and she was always around when we needed anything.FOOD: If you like chicken nachos you should try these. They put the right amount of cheese, chicken, jalapenos, guac, every ingredient pairs perfectly. I had the chicken enchilada and my husband the chicken tacos. The plates are smaller in size than expected but still delicious and filling..ATMOSPHERE: The ambience of the restaurant is very inviting and comfortable. The indoor dining area is to the left when you walk in, the bar in the middle and outdoor seating. Very nice.Overall we will visit this establishment again!“
“We were there just before Thanksgiving, 2023 - this review is past due.We arrived late and the outside seating was closed. When we were told that we thanked them and started out. (We are still not eating inside at restaurants). The Maître d’ overheard that and asked us to wait. He went and conferred with someone else and they lead us to a private room. We were the only ones in the room, they opened the windows and voila - we were all set.The food was good, the service was excellent. They accommodated us and that meant more walking for the waitstaff and everyone else who served us while we were there.Service is a commodity and they showed they had it all.Thank you to each and everyone of them.“
“The food quality was good, and cooked quickly! The queso was amazing. The only complaint I have is the coco fresa tasted like something rotten was in it. The after taste was rough. They pour from a tap, so it’s possible the batch that we received was spoiled. We ended up changing to the mojito margarita and it was way better“
“Authentic Mexican food, but small portions for the price. Came to taqueria habanero with some friends because we've been looking for good, authentic Mexican food in DC. Surprisingly, it's been more difficult to find than we thought! I ordered the huarache with steak and I also shared the guac and chips with my table. I was excited to see huaraches on the menu because it's not available everywhere. When my plate came, it looked and tasted delicious, but I felt that the portion was quite small for $15. I know Mexican food in DC is pricy either way, but where I'm from, I would be able to get a huarache triple the size for the same price. I also am someone who gets full pretty easily, but this meal did not fill me up. Still looking for my go-to spot in DC and this is definitely a contender, but the portion size really is a factor for me.“
“After having an unpleasant experience at another restaurant in the area we came to Judy’s and this was meant to be! The service was amazing, our server Fidel was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. Fidel gave us really good recommendations. We ordered one tamarind margarita and one lemon margarita with mezcal, they both were delicious and fresh! For the food, we ordered pupusas revueltas and pupusas with cheese and beans! Best pupusas I ever tried! I’m definitely coming back! The service at this place is really great!SECOND VISITAfter a great experience at Judy’s last night, I wanted to come back to explore more the many and I’m glad I did! Fidel’s customer service was exceptional as the first time. This time I tried Bistec a la criolla, Judy’s combination and for dessert I had their 3 leches cake and their flan. Both were divide, I can recommend this place enough!THIRD VISITAMAZING! The Lomo Saltado and Burrito was incredible delicious! The margaritas were tasty! Loving this restaurant! ❤️ the customer service is 100 points! 10 out of 10!“
“Absolutely amazing dinner at El Techno for my birthday. Vibes were immaculate, birria ramen bomb was in the top 5 things I've ever eaten. Staff were friendly and helpful, but didn't hover, absolutely perfect. Margaritas were delicious. The owner, Louie, came by and introduced himself and made sure everything was great. Honestly couldn't ask for a better dinner for the price.“
“This place is neither an Indian nor a Mexican restaurant. The people who work here are mostly Mexican/Latin Americans (I didn't see any Indian Americans working here) but the food has Indian influence(the keyword is "influence"). So take it for what it is, It's good for a cheap quick bite but that's about it. Don't expect anything more than that. If I had half a star I would give this a 4.5 but I believe 4 stars is not too harsh either.“
“Nicest staff here and the food was incredible!!!I’m from California where the MEXICAN FOOD IS FOR REAL. And this is THE ONLY PLACE AS GOOD AS CALI MEX!!!! I’ve been to like 20 Mexican spots and been disappointed every time mumbling after “Not as good as Cali but still love Mexican so it’s ok.”Not here!THIS PLACE ROCKS!!! Best Mexican in the area hands downnnnnnnnnnn~~~~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~~“
“We came here for our monthly family dinner night. We wanted to try a new spot. Ambiance - Cute. Really liked the seafood art in the walls. And the smell when you first walked in was incredible. We knew we were going to eat well. Food/Drinks - Hubby and I really enjoyed our drinks. I got La dama. He got the mango mojito. And my daughter also liked her strawberry lemonade. My favorite thing was the corn salad, but it was hard to pick a favorite because everything was so good! Service - 10/10. Everyone was so attentive and they made sure I got good footage for my blog. They kept our glasses full as well. Overall, try this place out! The flavors and customer service are truly amazing. They're going to need a bigger location soon!“
“Had met with friends for their brunch here and we were running behind. Were helpful in getting us seated and since we were with a dog, they made sure to get the heaters set up and got us a table with the fire pit. Nice views of the water and bridge.“
“In the hallowed halls of gastronomy,Where tweed-clad scholars gather,Amidst oak-paneled walls and leather-bound books,Lies a secret whispered among the cognoscenti.Behold, the burrito—an enigma wrapped in parchment,A culinary symphony of maize and meat,Its savory notes resonate through ivy-covered quads,As if Hemingway himself had penned its recipe. The tortilla, a golden diploma unfurled,Cradles the treasures within—a calculus of flavors,Black beans, like ancient runes, inscribed with spice,Avocado, the verdant promise of summer's yield. And there, nestled in the folds, the pièce de résistance:Carnitas, slow-cooked to perfection,Their tender confessions echoing across generations,A clandestine rendezvous of taste and tradition. As the clock chimes midnight in the dining hall,We raise our silver forks to this scholarly feast,For the burrito, my dear companions,Is the thesis of sustenance—a dissertation of delight.“
“Great place to stop for some delicious Mexican-style food while out and about touring Capitol Hill! Portions are large, staff is friendly, and lots of menu options are available. There are only about ten stools for inside dining but is convenient enough to grab as take out and picnic someplace along the hill. Taco salads, quesadillas, and pork tacos are amazing!“
“This place is a little hard to find but definitely worth the effort. Great Mexican food and fantastic service. The servings are huge, I think the queso dip could serve 8 people. Margaritas were okay but beers from the giant cooler of beer were cold and refreshing.“
“Went there for a dinner with my dad - he is a flavor snob.Immediately, the service stuck out. Our waiter was on us, telling us the house favorites and getting us ready for their margaritas. The margaritas were okay, probably the last thing to write home about. Also thought they were a little pricey, but that’s all drinks in DC.We started with queso fundido; a queso-string-cheese hybrid topped with jalapeños, onions, and tomatoes. Was fantastic and paired amazing with their corn tortillas. For dinner, we tried the fish, chicken, and brisket tacos and ordered their birria taco-quesadilla (apparently also a house fav). All of the tacos were great; chicken and brisket were super tender, fish taco was juicy with sweet crema nodes. The birria taco-quesadilla was definitely more of just a quesadilla, I think it was the best meat on the table (my dad would disagree).Great vibes, trendy decor, has that small taqueria feel. If you’re looking for something boujee, not the place; if you want somewhere upbeat, affordable, and intimate, it is the place.“
“Torn between 3 and 4 stars. As a recent texas transplant, I was craving some good tacos and Mangonada. The brick-and-mortar equivalent of a food truck, the service was quick and staff professional. They have an online order-ahead option that I recommend for larger orders. The Al pastor tacos I got were AMAZING, and a reasonable portion for the price (for DC). They didn't have mangonada, but they had a tropical version called piña chamoyada, and it was delicious! Lots of mango, pineapple, and coconut, laced with chamoy and tajin. I highly recommend both of these! However, whatever they're trying to pass off as Elote is not it, Fam. I was so excited for a good cup of street corn, but this lacked any spice or lime, and even just the cheese and Mayo (?) tasted weird, like maybe they're using something else. Ate one bite, stirred it up and tried a second bite, and immediately put it away. No sir this was not street corn and not even good. This is what knocked down the ratings for me, especially at $8. I might be back for the tacos, but I need to find another place for my elote fix.“
“They sell some super delicious sandwiches here wow! I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it is a delicacy. The bad thing is that it was very greasy but it was a delight, the restaurant is almost always empty and I honestly don't know why a place with such delicious food can be like this.“
“Have been in and out of that Exxon many times, and never even considered eating here. I was hungry and grabbed a chicken quesadilla to go. It was one of the best quesadillas I've ever had, have since been back and gotten the steak and some other things. The cheese pulls are ridiculous. Hidden Gem!“
“A nice little food truck near the university of Maryland. I came here for a fencing tournament with my girlfriend and we want to satisfy our yearning for tasty Mexican food. We found this food truck 4 mins away from the university of Maryland. I loved their gorditas, and they have a good variety of tacos and even serve birria as well.“
“Food and service were amazing! it is very loud, so don't expect to have a quiet, romantic dinner. The only other negative is the bathroom situation- it's so dark and creepy. You can't see in the hallway, I'm surprised more people don't fall. Put some brighter lights on people!“
“Great spot for a large party, amazing service and delicious food. Wine by the bottle is very reasonable and cocktails are well made. The sense of humor is delightful as demonstrated with the photo hung in the bathroom in a place that is sore to catch your eye ?“
“This is a priceless spot. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Sit at the bar if you can. The drinks are fantastic, the food is right out of a Mexico City kitchen on a Saturday night. The posole almost made me cry, it was absolutely perfect. If you're aware of what flavors taste like after being slowly developed, you'll love this place. The decor also reminds me of someone's kitchen. Beautiful, colorful, but unpretentious and comfortable.“
“I am sure Korean food is the best when tasted in Korea. That's why I'm not a big fan of Korean restaurants abroad. However this one, Rice Bar in DC satisfied me for real. 다만 제 느낌에 1회용 숫가락이 좀더 크면 좋겠고 젓가락에 일본어 적힌 점이 아쉽.. 그래도 또 들리고 싶네요.“
“Uno Más is an authentic Mexican Kitchen. The service, food, prices, and hospitality is superb. The food is true, authentic, Mexican cuisine. While the atmosphere is not that of a 5 star restaurant the food, and drinks surely makes up for it all. 10/10 I recommend anyone who love Mexican cuisine to try Uno Más!!“
“This place is good simple Mexican restaurant. It's not expensive but a very good experienceVegetarian options: Beans Burittos rice soup quesadillaDietary restrictions: Accommodation for gluten intoleranceParking: There is ample parking right next to the restaurant“
“I truly enjoy this place. I come here often to get the same dish. I grab their 3 carne asada tacos. It’s one of my favorite spots to pick up tacos. Very authentic. I have had their paposas (not sure if I spelled it correctly) and they are great also. The service is kind and friendly. It seems like a family own business.“
“My husband treated us to lunch from Krazi Kebob, and his recommendation of the Chicken Kati Rolls turned out to be an absolute game-changer for my taste buds. As someone unfamiliar with this type of food, I had no idea what to expect, but let me tell you, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Chicken Kati Rolls. The chicken was bursting with flavor. The recommended side of spicy sauce added an extra kick that elevated the overall experience. To complement the rolls, we also ordered fries. They were perfectly cooked and paired exceptionally well with a mayo dip. Adding to the positive experience was the seamless pick-up process. Ordering was a breeze, and when we arrived to collect our meal, everything was ready and waiting. Definitely coming back!“
“I really enjoyed eating at Samantha’s! I was so surprised to walk in and see a lot of families eating in there, which told me this was a popular spot with potentially a lot of returning customers. We ordered the argentine steak that was supposed to come with a chimichurri sauce but didn’t appear present on the steak, more so “flavored” chimichurri I guess.. and I ordered beef and ribs fajitas. The rice and beans were really good and tasty. I enjoyed my beef fajitas, but the ribs were a little too saucy and more American bbq tasting than Latino style. I see that they have a pork ribs entree on the menu which I may try next time to see if they’re any but different than the fajitas.I really liked that they had a large menu with many options so we can try different stuff each time we come back. Will be returning soon with local family!“
“I don't know if I was just really hungry or if this was some of the best Mexican food in DC! The carnitas in my nachos was so flavorful and tender! The carne asada burrito was amazing. They have margaritas on tap and I thought that was pretty cool. This restaurant is located inside the Bryant Street Market. This was my first time there and the layout is pretty cool, tons of seating and some other good looking by eateries. We finished the meal off with some caramel covered churros that were pretty decent. The caramel definitely took them to the next level. The customer service was ok, but we didn't really need anything from them after we got our food and found somewhere to sit.“
“This is my favorite taco bell location. Prior to the "veggie" menu I always had to customize and even now I leave off dairy and they always get my order correct. I'm not sure why all the complaints about customer service, they have always been very nice when I order from this location.“
