“So, in case you are wondering! The former owners of Tacos 5 de Mayo have moved here. I am glad to have found them, as I have been eating their delicious authentic Mexican cuisine since I was a teenager.

I ordered the shrimp quesadilla, with a side of black beans. Everything was cooked deliciously with lots of love as usual, and very flavorful. There were some issues with my online order, but they quickly worked to correct those issues immediately. I will be back to check out more cuisine! Cheers!“

“Amazing Customer Service at Taco Bell in Landover Hills, Maryland!

I had a wonderful experience at this Taco Bell! David was absolutely fantastic friendly, kind, and incredibly hospitable. He made me feel welcomed from the moment I came through the drive through in and provided excellent customer service with a genuine smile. I was also impressed by how clean and well-maintained the store was. It’s refreshing to visit a location where both the atmosphere and customer service are top-notch! David truly made the visit special, and his positive attitude deserves recognition. Keep up the great work, David! I’ll definitely be happy to visit again!“

“This place is nice. I am African American so the language barrier was a little difficult to navigate but there are English speaking services there. We got the 3 mix nachos and fajita. The food is fresh and very good! The drinks are good as well. We get take out from here but there is plenty of seating and they plan authentic music.“

“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

The corn tamal, grilled leeks w/ mole, and lamb neck barbacoa were some particular favorites, but everything was delicious, fresh, and carefully crafted. “Solid, easy, and unique dinner spot to catch up with your friends. Ambiance was great. Decor was great. Vibe was great. Food was great. Drinks were unique, but I wasn’t crazy about any of the ones I had to be honest taste-wise! The steak was amazing. Ceviche was tasty.

We had 5 people and spent 88$ each - we had 1-2 drinks each and apps, sides, and main dishes, which we all shared. Everyone we met there was super friendly, staff involved. You can take great pictures here lol.

Wish we had stayed for the DJ. Music/club area started playing music around 10:30-11pm, but no one out on the dance floor yet and we just decided to call it a night! Parking was easy at 7:30pm, and free on the street. 1 min walk into it. Street parking gets more packed as the night goes on, of course. When I was going back to my car at 11pm it was packed.“

“I got a burrito, the rice had a rich lemon cilantro taste, the beans were good. The carne asada had a great taste. The tacos salsa was good that you need to eat with the tortilla chips… I highly recommend it. The prices are not bad respectfully for the food quality.“

“District Taco was nice, clean, and in a good location. The food was good, but overall I found it somewhat expensive for what you get. The menu felt pretty basic, and I was surprised that the burritos didn’t come with rice and beans, or nachos on the side.

You also have to ask for salsa and sour cream since there isn’t a salsa bar, which I would have preferred. There were also quite a few people standing around waiting for To-Go orders, which made the atmosphere feel a little crowded and was somewhat annoying.

Overall, I’d say it was an average-to-good experience, but definitely not a GREAT one. I gave it 4 stars for the effort and the overall cleanliness and location, but there’s room for improvement in the food value and service experience.“

“After moving from Florida I have been tirelessly searching for a good taco place in Maryland. I was so happy to find Tacos A La Madre! When you go inside it is very under decorated, but clean and they have a good sense of branding with their black and yellow color scheme. The tacos are amazing, flavorful, and consistent every time I go. The ingredients taste fresh. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the shrimp tacos and the birria tacos! 🌮 This is our new go-to taco place. You have to go- you won’t be disappointed.“

“This is honestly some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever tasted! I’m from Chicago, and I’ve had plenty of great Mexican food, but this place honestly beats a lot of the spots back home. You can really taste the love and passion that goes into the food, and the two wonderful ladies who prepared it were amazing.

The gentleman who greeted us was also incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. You can tell this place truly cares about its customers and the food they serve.

“My (admittedly large) party came in early and got seated ahead of time thanks to the hostess and server, who were both excellent. Margaritas were good albeit rims were a little oversalted but some may enjoy that. Food was excellent but $20 for 3 tacos seems a bit excessive even in downtown DC.“

I had the quesadilla, and my friend got the California burrito—which comes loaded with fries inside and was honestly really good and filling. I was a little surprised they don’t offer tacos, but the menu still has great options that hit the spot. “First time at a Dos Toros but I’ll be back for more. The service was fast and friendly, the protein choices a little broader than other burrito places and i love the way they wrap it in foil (very consistent; looks a little like a tamale). The atmosphere is sort of “vanilla” but it was clean, functional and well appointed. Definitely worth the trip.

“We visited DC for four nights. We ate here twice because it was so good. The happy hour specials were delicious and good deals. The salsa is transcendent. Loved the mojito and the sangria. The carnitas, the tinga de pollo and the esquites were AMAZING! The whole staff is awesome and the atmosphere is so cool.“
